I just bought a macbook pro yesterday and conected my apple ID that I created for my iphone. I was able to input iTunes gift card and use the balance fine but today sudnly I canoot download anything even free apps and I still have 15$ in my account left from the 25$ gift card. Every time I try to install a free or non free it goes to my billing page and ask me to input a credit card, if I select non and done it gives me an error to contact suport.

Tried out the App Store today, it looks cool. Way cooler than expected, I actually like it. I decided to go on a downloading spree of FREE apps. Now I have an Apple ID, but I've never filled out the credit card info. I will not be using the App Store for anything paid, I don't want to put in my credit card info, is there any way I can create an account without giving Apple my CC details? Cons: seems pretty hopeless at detecting installed apps. Apparently I don't have GarageBand or Keynote installed. Ah well.

I've just upgraded to Lion and am having trouble downloading some apps (some work just fine). I originally thought it was my internet connection, but it seems stable. Also, my mac meets all of the applications requirements.The first app i'm having trouble with has been paid for, but as soon as I hit 'install', it shows up in the Launchpad for a few seconds, and the status bar doesn't progress.
