whenever I try to purchase something from iTunes, I get the message "Your session has timed out". It does not matter how quickly I try to type the security questions either. Is there a setting I should change?

I recently purchased the Bluray for "Haywire" that included a digital copy. I have followed the directions for download into iTunes included w/ the Bluray that directs me to www.lionsgatedigitalcopy.com/redeem. I have entered the code on multiple occasions w/ the same result - Session Timed Out in iTunes. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I have contacted Lionsgate support and they say they are not distributing "Haywire" in the US and therefore cannot help.

At some point some months ago, I started getting the message. I just need it to go away. I'm not doing anything with the iCloud, I don't care about it. I just want to listen to my iTunes in peace.
A previous respondant to an earlier thread about this problem on devices with Safari said they fixed the problem by going into iTunes and "unsubscribing or deactivating" the "iTunes in the Cloud" option; but I don't have that option when I go to my settings. I can see the "iTunes in the Cloud" section; but my only option given there is "Manage Devices", which leads me to a screen where my only option is to sever the connection between my APPLE ID and my iPhone, which I don't want to do. And for the record, I don't have iTunes Match, and have no interest in it.
Most of my attempted fixes use only my MacBook, OS X 10.7.3 (current Lion), iTunes is 10.5.3(3) 64-bit (current version). Phone is AT&T 4S, 16 GB v. 5.0.1 (9A406, current version).I have used iCloud match on this phone, but now have it shut off. When I use iTunes to view the music on the iPhone, I see 1864 songs. iTunes sees this as 1864 items, 5 days, zero bytes). All are streams. All are greyed out. I can't delete them. I can't overwrite them becuase I can't sync.
This problem is on every computer I have tried. 4 different computers, all running either Lion, Snow Leopard, Windows 746x or Windows 8. Now I get this error. iChat can't communicate with the jabber account "@hotmail". The operation couldn't be completed. Operation timed out. I checked my password, and it is correct. I can check my Hotmail emails using those credentials. I didn't change the server settings as well.

The details is as follow :
MacBookPro01 has remote login activated for all users, is connected to the internet via Wifi, and uses a VPN (AstrillVPN) constantly.
MacBookPro02 is connected to the internet via Wifi on the same network as MacBookPro01 and uses a VPN (AstrillVPN) constantly.
From MacBookPro02, I enter "ssh computer name@XXX.XXX.X.XXX" in Terminal.
All I get is : "ssh: connect to host XXX.XXX.X.XXX port 22: Operation timed out".
The last 2 days i have a problem with iTunes. Everytime I try to open it, i get the message "Itunes quit unexpectedly". I deleted iTunes and installed it again, but the same thing happens. I am new in Mac so i may have made some mistake in deleting it.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo I recently moved into a new apartment with my 2 roommates, one of which has a macbook, while the other has a desktop that is plugged directly into the router. My macbook roomie has no issues with the WiFi. I, however, have been having numerous issues. It mostly seems to be with posting things, sending emails, logging into websites, and playing videos. 9/10 times I can't post topics onto message boards or update my facebook status. My Gmail almost always works well, while my college email can't send a thing. On twitter I often cannot load the next set of tweets. I was trying to order a textbook online today, I added to cart, and when I went to complete the checkout, the connection timed out. I can do all of these things, however, on the WiFi network on campus at school. Basically what I'm asking is, is this a problem on my end that I can fix? I doubt that the problem lies with our internet providers, because I can have my laptop side by side with my roommates, and he has no issues.
View 12 Replies View RelatedYesterday I got my new iMac 21,5'. After starting it up, the airport would not work. The open network (not password protected) was detected, but every attempt to connect to it ended with a "timed out" error message. I tried to deactivate and reactivate the airport a few times. With no luck. Both my iphone and a cheap netbook would get a valid connection in the meantime. So it's not a network issue.
It's a d-link router and it's about half a meter from the imac. My previous macbook with tiger worked perfectly with this connection. I tried to change the wireless channel from 7 to 6 and this did not solve the issue. Or at least not right away. I tried again after say 15 minutes, and it worked. However, tried again in the morning, and got the "timed out" error message one more time. I have installed the airport software update
I have two gmail accounts set up with Mail, but as of yesterday, neither will work. I get a connection failed error (port 993 timed out). I've triple checked all my settings and everything is fine. nothing changed, so i don't understand why it won't work. also, mail has been acting strange overall. if i want to quit it, i have had to force quit it with finder because it won't close on its on.
