In delving into my accounts, I'm so confused by all the different ID's, email addresses, I've reset (unintentionally) my password more times than I care to remember. I recently purchased the Bluray for "Haywire" that included a digital copy. I have followed the directions for download into iTunes included w/ the Bluray that directs me to www.lionsgatedigitalcopy.com/redeem. I have entered the code on multiple occasions w/ the same result - Session Timed Out in iTunes. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I have contacted Lionsgate support and they say they are not distributing "Haywire" in the US and therefore cannot help.

At some point some months ago, I started getting the message. I just need it to go away. I'm not doing anything with the iCloud, I don't care about it. I just want to listen to my iTunes in peace.
A previous respondant to an earlier thread about this problem on devices with Safari said they fixed the problem by going into iTunes and "unsubscribing or deactivating" the "iTunes in the Cloud" option; but I don't have that option when I go to my settings. I can see the "iTunes in the Cloud" section; but my only option given there is "Manage Devices", which leads me to a screen where my only option is to sever the connection between my APPLE ID and my iPhone, which I don't want to do. And for the record, I don't have iTunes Match, and have no interest in it.
Most of my attempted fixes use only my MacBook, OS X 10.7.3 (current Lion), iTunes is 10.5.3(3) 64-bit (current version). Phone is AT&T 4S, 16 GB v. 5.0.1 (9A406, current version).I have used iCloud match on this phone, but now have it shut off. When I use iTunes to view the music on the iPhone, I see 1864 songs. iTunes sees this as 1864 items, 5 days, zero bytes). All are streams. All are greyed out. I can't delete them. If there's only one choice of CD info the CD immediately disappears from iTunes and the desktop. If there is more than one choice of CD info as soon as I pick one the CD disappears from iTunes and the desktop.
In either case I can eject the CD with the eject button on my keyboard and when I reinsert it it comes up in iTunes with all the CD and track info I previously selected and then I can import.Why does the CD disappear the first time? I have unchecked and checked preferences in iTunes to "show CD when inserted" as it has always been.One thing I should mention is that right before this behavior started happening I checked and repaired disc permissions for my HD, could this have anything to do with it?

I have a large collection of ripped (TV-on-DVD that i own) mp4s. I want to add these to my iTunes library (space is a non-issue). I import them by adding them to the "automatically add to iTunes" folder. iTunes auto-magically adds them to the "Movies" section. At this point i can group-select, hit cmd-I, and change them to TV Shows. Easy! The only other piece of meta-data I would like to add is the episode number. Is there a quick way to do this? Or do i have to hit cmd-I, add episode #, hit OK button, select next episode, repeat....?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using iTunes with PC for about 5 years or more and never really had any problems ripping my CD collection, even when I switched at one point to using dbpowerAMP and then importing into itunes manually. I'm using itunes to rip again now.
Now I have my first mac (mac mini 2010). I am starting to import parts of my CD collection that I never had room for on my old notebook PC.
So before I went to bed last night I tried to rip and import 3 CDs using itunes exclusively now to do the ripping because I have come to the realization that itunes plus AAC is good enough for my ears and especially my equipment (ipod classic 160gb & Senn PX-100's). Now these 3 CDs I know for a fact the iTunes Store sells and definitely has the artwork and track info for.
Well, the first 2 CDs loaded artwork and track info fine after I remembered to check in the settings about the artwork anyway..
Then comes the 3rd and newest CD I tried, Eagles OF Death Metal's "Heart On". I stick it in the mac mini's slot *giggles* and then the iTunes pane at the top center of the screen keeps scrolling and saying something like "searching for grace-note whatever".. Then after about 2 or 3 minutes of that it just gives up and acts like it doesn't know the CD and lists the songs as "track 1, track 2" etc..
Now this CD is immaculate. It has been ripped before on my PC with no problem. I double checked to make sure the iTunes store sells it because in the past I've had to download my own artwork if it's something they don't sell in their store.
So I'm at a loss here I don't want to have to enter all this info manually as I have about 500 CDs to rip and only being on number 3 I didn't know if it was just this one being trouble, or what to expect how many are going to do this?
I am trying to send my Genius info but it get stuck on step 2. "Sending Genius information to Apple." It has been going for 2 hours. I tried a couple times earlier for about 15-20 minutes each time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this is a ridiculously easy thing to do, and that I'm just being exceptionally stupid, but I've not been able to figure it out, and Google is as unhelpful as ever.
As a new PC to Mac convert, occasionally I stumble on something in OS X that baffles the heck out of me, and inevitably discover that it's typical ex-Windows stupidity on my part, and I'm hoping this is just another example of that. I'm looking for a means of changing song information (track number, album, year, genre, &c), without having to use iTunes. I hate iTunes at the best of times, and really don't relish the thought of being forced to use it every time I want to switch two letters of a mislabelled album title or re-number a track (I should also point out, my iTunes library is taken from an external harddrive for the sole purpose of putting that music on my iPod (the only reason why I use iTunes), whereas the songs I want to relabel are on my MBP's harddrive for the purpose of listening to from the computer itself, and are currently not in my iTunes library in any form, nor do I wish to put them there).
In Windows, you could just pull up the file information and change track number, album, year, &c &c &c from within Explorer... but when I try to do the same in OS X by hitting "more info" in Finder, there's no option to change any of the details I'm after. Is there a simple way of doing this that I'm just blindly missing by sheer stupidity, or does song information have to be edited through iTunes or not at all?
I lent my old MacBook to my brother for awhile. I have it back now and iTunes is doing something peculiar, and I can't figure out how to make it stop. Every time a new song starts to play a little black box drops down out of the right hand side of the taskbar with the song name and info. It's just a minor annoyance, but I'd really like to figure out how to make it stop. I can't seem to find any program or anything that is making it happen and my brother says he doesn't know what he did. Hopefully this picture will make things more clear.

A few of the thousands of songs I have loaded into iTunes don't have track numbers embedded in their tags.
I've just migrated from PC to Mac and have a nice new MBP and am discovering a few differences between the two platforms. grrr
I want control of tags - is this possible. When I get "info" for a particular song their is no reference to track numbering available?
There are other things I'd like to be able to tweak as well. Like just pulling up a particular genre - I used Media Centre on my PCs and had amazing control of everything. It behaved like a well constructed database.
