Jun 16, 2012My iPhone 4s does not sync with itunes. It starts syncing as usual but the sync times out once it reaches "Determining apps to sync". In ITunes it shows that music, videos and pictures are synced but none are found in my phone. I have rebooted the computer and phone a few times but it didn't work.

Both devices are NOT jailbroken. iTunes saying network connection can not be established. And trying through iPad's software update on the device says " Unable to check for update. An error occurred while checking for a software update." And I clearly have internet connection.

Sep 5, 2014I use a mac book pro 17" and osx10.9.4 ... After i updated to itunes 11.3.1 itunes always freezes if try to connect to ios device such as Iphone or Ipad.
A soon i turn of completely the ios Devices, Itunes reacts normally without sync. of course. as soon i Turn on the iphone or ipad, and it does not matter its connected with cable or Wlan, it immediately freezes again....

My problem is that suddenly since last week my Itunes freezes every time I try to connect my IPAD or my IPHONE it was working great but now I have this problem. I already completely remove Itunes and I already re-installed ver 11.2 and 11.2.1 but the problem is the same. I already tried to connect my devices to other computer (I have an IMac) and both devices were recognized without problems. I also restored my IPHONE to default settings but after that the problem is the same one. I would like to say that my devices are being recongnized without problems by my Macbook Pro, it also opens automatically Iphoto and I can get the pictures from my two devices so I know that it is not a problem with my Macbook or the USB ports.

Mar 8, 2012I just upgraded to iTunes 10.6 in a normal mac software update yesterdayNow I cannot sync any of my devices. 2 iPhone 4Ss and 1 iPad 1st gen.Whenever I connect a device to sync, iTunes 'crashes unexpectedly' I had to turn of wifi on the iPhone because wifi syncing caused the itunes to crash. I noticed my streaming music kept quitting and figured out it was the syncing that caused the 'unexpected quit's.
Music not playing is a minor inconvenience, but not syncing is a major problem in my household; where we share lots of info via sync.I did notice there was an iOS 5.1 upgrade available for all my devices, and was able to install it on iPhone 1 and the iPad, but I cannot upgrade my wife's iPhone because I need to free up some space on it which requires, you guessed it, attaching it to my mac to access sync preferences.

Mar 24, 2010Yesterday I got my new iMac 21,5'. After starting it up, the airport would not work. The open network (not password protected) was detected, but every attempt to connect to it ended with a "timed out" error message. I tried to deactivate and reactivate the airport a few times. With no luck. Both my iphone and a cheap netbook would get a valid connection in the meantime. So it's not a network issue.
It's a d-link router and it's about half a meter from the imac. My previous macbook with tiger worked perfectly with this connection. I tried to change the wireless channel from 7 to 6 and this did not solve the issue. Or at least not right away. I tried again after say 15 minutes, and it worked. However, tried again in the morning, and got the "timed out" error message one more time. I have installed the airport software update

Aug 28, 2014I have seen people saying go into Library-Launch daemons etc. I find Library but no launch daemons or daemons or anything like that. I am using Lion. I have sorted the problem before by uninstalling iTunes then reinstalling but as soon as I restart I have the same problem again. Now Lion won't even let me uninstall it.
I do have the wifi sync symbol sitting in the taskbar but can't seem to do anything with that.

In the Bluetooth Setup Assistant the macbook sees the iPhone 3G, but they don't connect after I accept the connect on the iPhone 3G. The codes on the Macbook and iPhone are the same and, therefore, should connect.
I've searched the Apple Discussions (support) but there is no answer there.

Dec 15, 2010I have had several issues with the USB on my brand-new Core i5 macbook pro. It randomly disconnects USB devices. I've had the issue with multiple USB devices - same story with each one. Further, iTunes will only recognize my iPhone if it is in the port nearest the magsafe connector. The other port fails to recognize my iPhone entirely. Anyone else having a USB issue on their base 15" that was released today?
Furthermore, any suggestions of what to do about it? I'm having a hell of a time restoring my iPhone with this issue... And the Apple Store is over an hour away-I planned a special trip to buy this laptop.
