It won't show up until the second time i put it in -- it will flash up on the desktop briefly, but it looks like it's hanging up when it's searching for track names. I haven't rebooted in a while -- maybe that's it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to insert a disk. When I put it in, it usually just nicely goes in. Now, there seems to be something blocking it as I push it in. There isn't anything in there that I know of. I've tried ejecting and even tried looking under disk utilities.

I have a imac I bought mid 07, and I got bootcamp to install windows. So my windows os crashes, I go to re-install the windows and it deletes my mac osx. So I try to reboot the computer with the original max osx install discs that came with the computer, as I reboot I see the install cd icon and click it, and it starts loading the cd. And Keeps Loading, doesnt do much else.

i recently purchased a second hand iMac, everything is working fine on it apart from one wierd problem when i insert a DVD into the superdrive it decides to eject the disk by itself, and if I insert a CD it plays fine. Im on 10.7.4 (os x lion)

I just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design?  Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?Â
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)

Just got a refurbished 27" Imac I5 with the Radeon 4850 yesterday.This happened twice yesterday, so today, when I powered on I had my blackberry ready to record.As you can see theres a large green band (yesterday it was accompanied with a red one) that spans the vertical aspect of the screen. View 1 Replies View Related...now I don't have the same functionality with iTunes. Basically, I can't use iTunes at all anymore as the interface for my music and videos. Once the external drive is mounted, I can navigate through it and play individual songs, but I can't use iTunes to do that. All my previous Playlists show up down the left side of iTunes, but there isn't any music in them.
I downloaded 2 songs yesterday, made a Playlist out of them, and because the path in the Advanced tab of the iTunes Preferences is correct, it automatically added the songs to the external hard drive. I synced my iPod and it was completely erased except for the 2 new songs. Is there a way to use iTunes to navigate my music like I used to when I stored the information on the internal hard drive but keep the information on the external drive? I have a Mac running Snow Leopard and the latest version of iTunes.
I need to convert some mp4 music files to mp3 to move to sansa clip mp3 player. Info I read said to click on preferences in iTunes to do this but, iTunes does not show up in my web browser and so there is no menu with preferences.

I have 4 i devices, a first gen ipod touch, an ipad, an iphone 4s and an iphone 3gs. I wanted to be able to use wifi sync on the devices so I upgraded my Mac Mini to 10.6.3. As soon as I upgraded it, itunes is up to date as well, I now cannot get any of my devices to register when I plug them in and the devices will not wifi sync. They say waiting for my Mac Mini to become available.Â

I watched them on my Mac, and deleted them off my iPhone to save space, given their size. I also do NOT have the "sync new TV shows" box checked.
Yet, the shows keep re-syncing and loading onto my iPhone every time I sync. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that I purchased them on my iPhone. But how do I make this stop?

Found an odd problem with iTunes on one of my Mac's. My TV shows on one mac are dropped in a Season X folder, while on the other Mac they are not. Both have the Season and Episode information filled out identically (same files on both Mac's), yet one creates the Season Folders and one does not. I would prefer that they are just put in a single folder rather than Season subfolders, but I can work with either.Â
Both Mac's are set to allow iTunes keep the media folder organized and to copy the files to the media folder.Â
I'm curious if there's a plist setting that controls the creation of the Season folder, and if this other mac has a legay PLIST seting that is causing this difference?
