Feb 23, 2012I have all these albums and songs on my phone and I don't know where they came from. I haven't downloaded them, they aren't in my library and I haven't synced with another computer. I have done a sync over and over anot nothing. I have even done a synch and took all the music off. I think it is 'other' stuff but don't know how to get it off of there.

Jun 25, 2014I have tried to add my number to both iMessage and FaceTime but it will only allow an email address to be added. I checked my Apple ID and my phone number is there. I don't know why my phone number mysteriously disappeared, it had been linked since I got my MacBook.

I'm not sure what caused it to stop, but now all notifications show up as the phone number of the contact. In the actual app, the names look fine. Is there some way to get contact names to show up again?

There is no way all three of my cords are causing a connection problem and I have repaired and verifyd all the drives and still nothing.

When I was setting up my itunes i signed into my account then took my iphone and synced my iphone to the itunes on the new computer. Everything was showing up on the computer so I though everything had sunk and was backuped. But when I was going through it today I noticed a few of my artist are missing some songs. Oct 13, 2009just cracked my 17" mbp screen. listening to itunes via earbuds and phone rang. got up to answer and laid earbuds down (1 on table, 1 on keyboard). as i went to get the phone, i kicked the magsafe and it spun the mbp and caused the screen to jet closed....right on the earbud, cracking it.should i pay the $700 to replace the screen on my 2+ yr old mbp or just get one of the new ones?

Programs for simple tasks like uploading music onto devices should be efficently coded, not resource hogs that are incredibly unintuitive and needlessly complicated. Why can't we just drag and drop music and videos directly onto our phone like we can with just about every other media player? I already have all of my music organized just as I want it on my computer. Just let me drag the folders I want directly into the iPhone without having to bother with a 100mb download that runs like crap.

May 2, 2012I just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design?  Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?Â
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)

Connecting Mac To Phone For Fax / Phone
Apr 24, 2012I'd like to use my mac (Imac and Macmini) for sending/receiving faxes and perhaps for CPI (computer phone integration).I have obtained a USRobotics usb modem. The question I have is do I need to connect that modem to the same connection (using a splitter) to where my telephone handset is ?If I connect this usb modem from the macmini to the phone line (not where the handset is), can I then use the Imac to connect to the phone for fax/cpi|? It is all the same phone line and on the same wifi.

Can anyone tell me why some TV shows on iTunes which were previously available in HD, are now only available in SD?
Two examples are Legend of the Seeker and season 5 of Lost (the promo content was previously available in HD).
Also when I tried to purchased episode 11 of Fringe in HD and in SD, I recieved a message stating "THE ITEM YOU TRIED TO BUY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE".

Jun 1, 2012I just purchased an Apple ATI Radeon 5770 Graphic Card Upgrade and installed on my Mac Pro (Early 2008) system with a 30" Cinema Display. I had no problems installing the card and there appears to be no problems with the graphics except I can no longer view any of the HD movies that I purchased from iTunes over the last few years. I receive an error that my monitor does not support HDCP. All of the ITunes HD movies and TV programs were viewed without problems with the nVidia 8800GT that came with the system was installed. Apple provided no notice that purchasing a graphic card upgrade would also need to replace my 30" Cinema Display to view the HD movies that I had purchased through iTunes. I had planned to purchase a new display later this year.Â

OS X :: IPod Touch No Longer Being Recognized In ITunes?
May 5, 2009I bought Myst from the app store on my iPod last night, and when I plugged it into my computer, it attempted to sync Myst to it but it wouldn't make any progress. Was taking an impossible amount of time, so I canceled it. Now iTunes won't recognize it. I can't see it in Disk Utility either (although I'm not sure that is possible)
Anyway, I've tried restarting iTunes and the iPod and neither has resulted in success. Ideas?
