I have a cd with a full live concert on it, but the problem is, is that it is all on their as one 1hr track. Any simple way for me to insert breaks in between each song, so that I could just flick for example to track 12?

So my MBP 13" 2.26ghz worked up until the firmware update was installed, and then everything froze up and it took about 15 minutes to boot up, 5 minutes to shut down. So i called apple, and after a 1 hour phone call, they told me that i could get it replaced. I live an hours drive from the nearest apple store, and will have to drive up there to get it replaced, do you think i could ask for some kind of compensation for my problems, and having to drive 4 hours (2 to buy it the first time, 2 more to get it replace) to take care of the problem.
Do you think I could ask for the 2.53ghz model, or an apple/itunes gift card. or Should i even ask for anything, i mean i paid 1200 for this computer, and after 3 hours of owning it is not useable, and now i have to spend all this time trying to get it replaced.
iTunes 9 in Snow Leopard breaks the built in iTunes art screensaver, pops up with a message saying your iTunes library doesn't have any artwork (which is bollocks). You would think apple would test these sorts of things.

The new iTunes update has broken this view. When using the Artists column view, Al Green and Adam Sandler are now listed in the goddamn A's.

So over the past few months I have noticed this small bug/glitch in iTunes... and it is very annoying.
I cannot drag songs from playlists into different order. iTunes just doesn't let me drag at all.
I have to quit iTunes, then restart it. It will work for one time, but as soon as I got back to "Library" and then try to go back and edit a playlist, I have to exit iTunes.
Any fix for this?
It won't show up until the second time i put it in -- it will flash up on the desktop briefly, but it looks like it's hanging up when it's searching for track names. I haven't rebooted in a while -- maybe that's it?

My buddy says this is a very rare event for him and no suggestions as why I am not getting the track info. I've already tried unchecking the "search the internet for info" option.

I have been using iTunes with PC for about 5 years or more and never really had any problems ripping my CD collection, even when I switched at one point to using dbpowerAMP and then importing into itunes manually. I'm using itunes to rip again now.
Now I have my first mac (mac mini 2010). I am starting to import parts of my CD collection that I never had room for on my old notebook PC.
So before I went to bed last night I tried to rip and import 3 CDs using itunes exclusively now to do the ripping because I have come to the realization that itunes plus AAC is good enough for my ears and especially my equipment (ipod classic 160gb & Senn PX-100's). Now these 3 CDs I know for a fact the iTunes Store sells and definitely has the artwork and track info for.
Well, the first 2 CDs loaded artwork and track info fine after I remembered to check in the settings about the artwork anyway..
Then comes the 3rd and newest CD I tried, Eagles OF Death Metal's "Heart On". I stick it in the mac mini's slot *giggles* and then the iTunes pane at the top center of the screen keeps scrolling and saying something like "searching for grace-note whatever".. Then after about 2 or 3 minutes of that it just gives up and acts like it doesn't know the CD and lists the songs as "track 1, track 2" etc..
Now this CD is immaculate. It has been ripped before on my PC with no problem. I double checked to make sure the iTunes store sells it because in the past I've had to download my own artwork if it's something they don't sell in their store.
So I'm at a loss here I don't want to have to enter all this info manually as I have about 500 CDs to rip and only being on number 3 I didn't know if it was just this one being trouble, or what to expect how many are going to do this?
Is there an app that anyone knows of which will enable my menu bar to display the current playing Itunes track and any other relevant information?
View 14 Replies View RelatedAnother idea for itunes. I wonder why they have not implemented this yet...track markers. A lot of times I have a set or other 1 hour - mp3's in my itunes, but I sometimes like to fast forward to certain songs in my car....car fast forward is not as good as itunes fast forward so it sometimes takes forever....it would be nice if we could place track markers in itunes then that info is saved in the mp3 or something....so that when playing fro my iphone i can just fast forward to those markers.....know what i mean?
..it would be ncie to be able to do htis without splitting the original long mp3 into a bunch of small ones...
With the latest versions of iTunes my music albums don't seem to play in order of track number anymore. Is there a way to set or establish play order?

Since install of Lion a few weeks ago I have persistent problems scanning. I have an HP Photosmart C3110 and use Preview to Scan. I will get an error message "an error occured while communicating with the scanner". If I disconnect scanner then turn it on it will work but I have to do this after each shut down or sleep on my macbook pro. I have tried trashing prefs and repairing permissions. I am on mcp OS 10.7.3?
