ICloud On Mac :: Window Pop Up Asking To Input Password
Jun 20, 2014
My hard drive crashed therefore I needed to transfer my data and files from my backup via migration assistant. I believe t did something wrong and cause me every time I reboot the machine, a window pop up asking me to input my iCould password.Â
I'm running a 17in Macbook Pro and am finding that when I'm prompted to put in my password, for any reason, it's very slow to respond. This occurs anywhere where I'm prompted for the password. Usually takes between 10 and 30 seconds to respond. I've cleaned up with Onyx. I've not installed any new software.
Suddenly Finder keeps asking me to input my password whenever I delete a file to the trash. Emptying the trash is fine, though.I thought maybe I had clicked an option in Onyx that caused this, but having looked several times, I can't see anything in Onyx that would cause this. I've tried repairing disk permissions using Disk Utility, with no effect.

I have been trying to download Cloud 1.I put my Apple ID and Password in.It didn't take.I changed my password and it still didn't take. Also, when I tried to download mobile me, it wanted my 'member name and ID'.Is that separate? All I want to do, actually , is sink my contacts in Yahoo to gmail on safari.I was able to do that on Mail in Mac, but not on Safari.
When I install a new program I get a window that pops up asking me for my password. I don't have a Master Password for my computer, I left it blank intentionally so all I have to do is click on OK and the program installs. Likewise, sometimes when I delete some items on my computer this same window pops up.How can I disable this most annoying Password Window?
I have in the past when entering a password clicked "SAVE" when the auto save password window would pop up. Now I notice that passwords get changed, and the original password is automatically inserted when it is no longer correct. How can you reenter a correct password in this situation?
I was able to have mac mail to ask me my password each time I open the app, but ever since I put new system in, I haven't been able to figure this out..
I have a 'mac.com' email acct, I go look on their settings and I still can't figure this out-
Forgive me for not knowing the proper terminology. I have a MacBook Pro running the latest Snow Leopard. I am the only user on my laptop. When I turn on my laptop, it just starts up and I am in. No login. But I recently decided that I should increase my security a little by having the OS prompt me for my password upon waking up from sleep/screensaver. Is there any way to customize the little, basic window that appears where I enter my password? Most forum entries discuss the login window, but I don't think that's what this is called. I'm not really logging in - just unlocking it. I'd like to be able to customize the appearance of the window, the text, maybe make sounds if the wrong password is entered, etc. Main reason for this is for security purposes. If someone tries to use my laptop while it's sitting on my desk at work, I'd like to know (and would like him/her to know I know). Maybe hear it - maybe see some message.
I've been having a annoying issue with the require password window that comes up after sleep. I used to just hit a key on the keyboard, the MBP would wake up and immediately I could enter my password. Now, the password window appears, I start typing but then the window disappears and then re-appears while I'm typing, forcing me to select the password I had started writing and re-type it.
Each time I open Safari on my MacBook Pro, a window appears asking me to enter my Login password. I do this, and everything works fine. But I do not understand why Safari asks me to enter my Login password. How do I turn this "feature" off?
When the system request my administrator password the window that appears always shown strange characters. I type my password and works fine. I tried restarting the computer, but did not fix the problem. What can I do? what is this for?
I have two questions, must you have purchased and installed iWorks on your iPad or iPhone to use it with iCloud on your iMac?
Secondly, I can't get a Pages '09 document to drag onto the iWorks window and stay nor can I find the Action popup menu window that will allow me to select and choose the document so that I can save it.Â
I have recently upgraded to Lion and iCloud. There are two very annoying quirks that i don't know how to fix: 1-When working with word, documents or emails in the middle of a sequence the picture or window suddenly is yanked off the screen to the right. More often than not it can't be retrieved. This happens often 2-In the same mode as in #1 above the print size will suddenly increase maybe by a factor of 3x or 4x. it happens spontaneously. 3-There are many other problems with the upgrade: -With sequence emails the secondary emails are not printed. When one tries to open those emails it often fails.-The new address book format is crap. it is very difficult to go from single listings to group listings and back.
Why does iCloud mailbox keep asking for my password, even though I have saved the password in the keychain? After I enter the password, I am able to access my mailbox.
Starting a few days ago my mac is having issues with my iCloud email address. It keep asking me for my password and when I enter it, seems that it is not be ble to sync with my account and it takes the account offline. Then I go to "icloud.com" to verify that I amtering the correct password and it does go but now it is telling me that is not able to get my email data for some reason.
I keep getting the annoying window that says "Enter Password for account "Mobile Me"- I'm certain the password is correct! I have even deled the email account and added it in, and still cannot get it to work
how to set up my password with iCloud and it allow to use it, that I tried it so many times but it still denied. I did not know to turn on iCloud?Because that, I had problem with my password.
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.1.x), I would like to receive the receipt
Given that when setting up the iCloud account on Mail no password, as far as I remember, the procedure does not ask for a password (that infact is inexistent), I wonder why sometimes a dialog box like this one appears. It'a little bit bothering, as I have to press the "Cancel" button to dismiss it: the account works fine, though, and it couldn't be different, as I have no idea of what to write in that dialog box.
I tried logging into app store and it works fine, but doesnt work for icloud.I tried it on my iphone and same problem. It's like my apple id doesnt exist...
