Apr 11, 2012I went ahead and moved my mobileme account to icloud and since I did that my email going to my [url].. and [url].. addresses rejects my password. I have changed everything I can think to change and read every help topic I can find on the subject and performed every fix they have suggested. I have to have access to this account as it is my primary email address for my non-profit organization!

Jun 30, 2014Went to "Manage Apple ID" and changed e-mail and password last night. Received confirming e-mails and sent back verification. Today when I started up my Mac and iPhone, got messages telling me I'm not connected to iCloud, messaging is "offline", in short, neither the new or old e-mails or passwords are being recognized. Yet, "Manage Apple ID" will let me logon with new info.

Sep 10, 2014I have lately gotten notifications that my i-cloud account have been used logging in on a browser. Since I could not truly verify that this was me doing so I did check for updating my password. Two things happened.
1) The e-mail returned to me from i-cloud to reset was empty ? (Is there currently a system problem?
2) I then tried to go through security questions process - but i-cloud tells me my birthdate and year is invalid.
This whole issue makes me insecure about the integrity of my i-cloud account or whether there are system problems creating this at this time?

Aug 29, 2009I've tried and tried to save it but it just stays blank. I've deleted the email account several times but without success. I've also noticed that Safari will not save my internet login password. I'm staying in a hotel and every 24 hours or so, I'll need to re-login. Using SL & Safari the username stays there but not the password. Before the SL install everything was fine, my email password and the hotel username & password would always be input and remembered.

Feb 9, 2010I've set up various email accounts in Mail. I've had no problems downloading email but I'm cannot send emails. I can log on to my ISP's [Orange] Web Site so the password is correct. Everytime I try to send an email I keep getting a request for the password. I type in the correct password and Mail asks for it again and so on and so on.

I cannot see what I am doing wrong. In Outlook Express there was an option to enter yout smtp settings and then there was also a section for your ISP requires authentication. In that you would either click use the same settings or you would enter in different settings, if sending your mail through a different ISP. I also have accounts with other ISPs so would need to do same in Mail but I'm not sure how. Having said that, if I solve the current problem it would more than likely resolve the other one. I've tried pinging smtp.wanadoo.co.uk but nothing happens. However I can ping mail.btinternet.com so I know one of my ISPs works at least. Orange status line says the broadband service is working without any problems so unless that's false info, I'm doing something wrong.

Oct 21, 2010On my Macbook, I use Mail when on the road. Lately, every time I open Mail it asks me for my password. I supply it and compose a message. When I try to send the message, it asks me for my password again. In Mail Preferences, I type in my password for the account, click on the "save changes" box, and close Preferences. When I reopen preferences again, the password is missing. Also when I am asked for the password in order to send or receive messages, I fill in the password and click on "save password in keychain" box. No change - it continues to ask for the password every time.
