I can no longer log into my iCloud account. On both my home and work mini mac I get a dialog box that asks me to cancel or learn more about iCloud (a link to a website). I could use iCloud before.

I can no longer receive my emails from the icloud to my mac even though it has been doing it fine since I moved to the icloud a number of weeks now. I only get my mail if I log into icloud or I get it on my phone, it is not synching to my iMac.

my Macbook no longer recognises any "alien" accounts.It started with mail no longer accepting my gmail and hotmail accounts and constantly asking for the passwords and rejecting them even though I'm 100% sure I used the right password.
Even tried resetting the passwords for all google and hotmail accounts and using those passwords.I deleted all accounts in system preferences and then tried adding them again to accounts.It still wouldn't accept any passwords.I deleted the passwords stored in keychain but that didn't work either.Now I have the same with twitter and Facebook accounts set up on my mac.
And now it doesn't let me add my iCloud account to mail anymore.Is there some sort of reset button to just wipe the whole macbook clean or something as it is quite unworkable this way.
I have two POP email accounts that have been working quite well on my MacBook for several months. About a week ago one of them stopped receiving emails. I have deleted the account and set it up again to no avail. If I check the account information it lists all the emails on the server. I can open it on my browser and the mail is being delivered just fine there - just not on my imail account. The two email accounts that I have are set up the same and only one is receiving mail.

My main account is unable to log in any longer. The message says "You are unable to log in to the user account "username' at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."Â
I was able to create another admin account to at least start the iMac.  I had upgraded to Yosemite but I restored back to 10.9 - still no luck. I found a thread to attempt to repair the sparse file - running legacy file vault (which sounds like a mistake). double clicking the sparse file does not open disk utility.Â

Spent 30 minutes on online chat last night with someone most unhelpful, only to be told that the reason I'm not receiving anything is because my email is being forwarded to another address. I set my preferences to do that several years ago when this mac.com/me.com server began having so many issues, to ensure I was receiving email so I could check from my other address. The only comment I got was well, we no longer support 10.4.1 so there isn't anything we can do to help you. The status update says 33% of their customers are unable to migrate. So I'm pretty sure I'm not alone and that is a pretty large base of customers to no longer provide support to. Is anyone else who has not migrated to iCloud experiencing these email problems? Currently my iDisk works to transfer my larger files, but my email does not.

I've run into a nasty problem in that my main user account is no longer visible at the login screen, only the guest user account. Basically there is no way I can figure out to get back into my Air other than the safe Safari guest account.Â

As of last a few days ago, AOL has officially banned my account for a ludicrous reason; they said I was in breach of some sort of age restriction. Anyway, now I use g-mail, and everything's been great, besides the fact that my old AOL account was what I used to set up every online account I've ever made, including my Apple Account. How would I switch my account email address without any current access to my old one?

When I have a new event in Calendar on ICloud, I sometimes like to have "alerts" more than two days out. For instance my drivers license expires in July and I want a 30 day reminder but I see no way to set an alert that far out in the calendar in ICloud. ICal had (has) that ability.Â

View 3 Replies View RelatedWriting this on behalf of my dad who is not that technical, he is the one having this problem. First he noticed that mail in his the mail.app was not working. He then tried logging into iCloud on the web but could not. He has one Apple ID which won't allow you to login anywhere, not iCloud, nor even this Apple Support Page.The Apple ID and password are definately correct and have never been changed. We have tried going to [url] to reset the password. After entering the Apple ID and hitting next, then selecting the option to answer security questions, first question, date of birth, comes back and says date of birth does not match records. So went back and selected email authentication. It then says that an email has been sent. The problem here is that he cannot access his email to receive the email notification. Mail is not working because of the problem with the account. Also cannot log into iCloud either to receive the email. I don't really want to create a new Apple ID, as this will cause a lot of hassle.Â

Apple tells me because of their move to iCloud the iWeb function on my MacBook will no longer be able to publish my website. I can create a site with iWeb but not publish it. I will need a third party. I like managing my website myself. What are people doing in my situation? I haven't moved to iCloud yet but am told I will have to by June 30. All I'm seeing in the forums is how much trouble people are having with iCloud.

Apparently when iCloud took over I lost the ability to recieve emails to Mail from my .mac account. I did all the transitions but it still didnt work.Â

I finally made the switch to iCloud from mobile me three days ago. I check my mac.com mail through gmail and today I noticed that I have not received e-mail through gmail for three days - I am getting authentication failed message. Do I need to change the pop and smtp addresses, or is this just a problem with iCloud and gmail?Â
