MacBook Pro :: No Longer Have Access To Current Email - How To Switch To Another Account

As of last a few days ago, AOL has officially banned my account for a ludicrous reason; they said I was in breach of some sort of age restriction. Anyway, now I use g-mail, and everything's been great, besides the fact that my old AOL account was what I used to set up every online account I've ever made, including my Apple Account. How would I switch my account email address without any current access to my old one?

I have two POP email accounts that have been working quite well on my MacBook for several months. About a week ago one of them stopped receiving emails. I have deleted the account and set it up again to no avail. If I check the account information it lists all the emails on the server. I can open it on my browser and the mail is being delivered just fine there - just not on my imail account. The two email accounts that I have are set up the same and only one is receiving mail.

My outgoing email still works but my incoming doesn't. I guess this is an imap problem but it won't let me into the imap setting to fix it.

Is anyone else having problems with the email? I am not receiving any emails, nor can I send anything out. Spent 30 minutes on online chat last night with someone most unhelpful, only to be told that the reason I'm not receiving anything is because my email is being forwarded to another address. I set my preferences to do that several years ago when this mac.com/me.com server began having so many issues, to ensure I was receiving email so I could check from my other address. The only comment I got was well, we no longer support 10.4.1 so there isn't anything we can do to help you. The status update says 33% of their customers are unable to migrate. So I'm pretty sure I'm not alone and that is a pretty large base of customers to no longer provide support to. Is anyone else who has not migrated to iCloud experiencing these email problems? Currently my iDisk works to transfer my larger files, but my email does not.

I have been reading the discussions and trying to get my email on my Outlook to work. I can receive emails on my iphone and ipads, but no longer on my Outlook. I have already moved my account from mobileme to icloud.Â

My college email is a Microsoft Outlook Web Access Light 2007 account, using [URL]. I believe it is an Exchange account, as opposed to POP or IMAP, but I cannot find anywhere what to enter for "incoming mail server", "outlook web access server", or "outgoing mail server". I've tried [URL] which to me seems like the logical answer due to the generic example of [URL] along with a mix of other server names found on my email's about page.

I bought this new MacBook Pro a month ago. When I try logging into my guest account, it froze. I had no other alternative but to get out of it by pressing the power button. Then I tried open a new user account to see if it also has the same problem. Unfortunately it did have the same problem - froze after I logged in. I had done a harddisk check, there seemed to be no problem.

my Macbook no longer recognises any "alien" accounts.It started with mail no longer accepting my gmail and hotmail accounts and constantly asking for the passwords and rejecting them even though I'm 100% sure I used the right password.
Even tried resetting the passwords for all google and hotmail accounts and using those passwords.I deleted all accounts in system preferences and then tried adding them again to accounts.It still wouldn't accept any passwords.I deleted the passwords stored in keychain but that didn't work either.Now I have the same with twitter and Facebook accounts set up on my mac.
And now it doesn't let me add my iCloud account to mail anymore.Is there some sort of reset button to just wipe the whole macbook clean or something as it is quite unworkable this way.

I have a site that I made with iWeb on my iMac. Now I have a second Mac, a Mini, and I am trying to use it to work on my site but I can't figure out how to access the current site with iWeb. All it seems to want to do is create new sites. My site is saved to the "Sites" folder on my hard drive, and uploaded to my MobileMe space. Yet there doesn't seem to be any way to open the site, from either location, with iWeb on the Mini.

I am trying to switch my email program from Thunderbird to the mac email program Mail.Thunderbird has been playing up a lot recently and am tired of the glitches.
I have all the correct server settings etc and succesfully imported my mailboxes. The problem is that when I send an email it isn't from the right email address?? Is this a Mail problem or smth to do with my settings? I'm with Virgin media and have a separate set of email address through my website for my business so my email address are through freeola that I am using through Thunderbird.I'm sorry if this all sounds very stupid but I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out where I have gone wrong!

I just got a macbook. I used the migration assistant to tranfer files from my PC to my new mac and I can't access the account. It says the password has expired and that I need to create a new one but I can't change the password because my password isn't working. How can I access that user account. I don't want to do much on this user account because I know you can't merge two accounts...

My question is, will I be able to keep all my Mobile me eMail addresses? I had three @me.com addresses. Will all three still "work" after June 30th?Â
At still point, I have no inentention to upgrading to "Lion, Mountain Lion, Snow Mountain Lion, etc. I still use a couple of older apps like Appleworks and I like them better than any similar programs. I also still prefer to use Quicken 2007 which I was told won't work with Lion. Most of the computers I use are too old for Lion anyway.

Two days ago I updated my Macbook Pro to the latest version using the "Software Update" utility. It restarted and I just shut it down.Yesterday I attempted to log to my account and I realized that it's not possible. No matter the account I try it:Â
1. Asks for a password (Enter password correctly).
2. A gray screen appears for one or two seconds as if it's loading the session.
3. It comes back to the accounts screen.Â
After many tries then I entered to the Recovery utilities ( Command + R on boot). I analized the disk and it's fine, no errors on it. So I decided to reinstall OS X When I try to re-install it starts to download some components and after few minutes of download it states that it cannot download these components. I thought it was a problem with my wireless network so I plugged an ethernet cable to the mac but the same error still happens after one minute or two.
Note: I checked my network with other devices and it's working fine.Â

I just got an iMac running 10.6.1 And I still have a Mac Mini running 10.4.11, which allows me to access several apps running under Classic. I'd like to still access them on the glossy new monitor, with the wireless Magic Mouse. Since the iMac has no monitor input port, how do I hook up a KVM switch? Which brand do you recommend?
