ICloud :: How To Select All Email Addresses For Outgoing Mail

Jul 2, 2012

I need to send a mass email to all of my iCloud contacts. I select the "+" sign to add email addresses to an outgoing email. Do I really have to check the "to" box on all 700+ email addresses? Or is there a way to "select all"?

MobileMe :: Keep All Email Addresses When Switch To ICloud?

Jun 19, 2012

My question is, will I be able to keep all my Mobile me eMail addresses? I had three @me.com addresses. Will all three still "work" after June 30th?

At still point, I have no inentention to upgrading to "Lion, Mountain Lion, Snow Mountain Lion, etc. I still use a couple of older apps like Appleworks and I like them better than any similar programs. I also still prefer to use Quicken 2007 which I was told won't work with Lion. Most of the computers I use are too old for Lion anyway.

OS X :: Can't Send Email On Outgoing Mail Server

Aug 31, 2009

I'm having such a hard time syncing Gmail with Apple Mail now that I've done a fresh install of SL. First of all, in Gmail Settings, the instructions for setting up Apple Mail are for Apple Mail 3.0. But the Apple Mail with SL is 4.0. The instructions say to "Check the box next to Automatically set up your account." Pic of what I'm talking about: But my Apple Mail does not have that check box: Once it's setup it says it's supposed to look like this: Notice that it's POP and not IMAP? And in mine, once it's "automatically setup" it's IMAP and not POP: When I leave the settings as is, and try to send and receive mail I keep getting an error that says something like "Can't send mail on outgoing mail server". And when I change the outgoing server to POP I get the same error. I've tried everything, I've setup and deleted this e-mail account from Apple Mail at least 4 times now and I keep getting the same error.

OS X V10.5 Leopard :: Delete An Outgoing Email That Keeps Crashing Mail?

Mar 26, 2012

I tried sending an email this morning. It was addressed to about 220 people, all BCCd.

When I hit send, I got the message:

Cannot send message using the server Gmail [it's a gmail account, obviously]

The server "smtp.gmail.com" did not recognize the following recipients:

Big list of every email address

I couldn't get out of this screen, so I force quit.

Now that message is still in the Outbox, and every time I try to open Mail, it tries to send that message again, and I get the same error message.

I ended up going onto gmail.com and just sending it from there with no issues.

I would like to delete this message so it would just stop crashing Mail, but I can't figure out how to do it.

I'm running 10.7.3, the version of Mail is 5.2

OS X :: Storing Used Email Addresses In Mail?

Nov 6, 2009

I tend to "save" email addresses by remembering the first few characters, and allowing Mail to fill in the rest, from some list of addresses it saves based on who I've sent mail to in the past.

WHERE is this list saved? I now want to move to a new Mac, and I don't want to lose all my "almost saved" email addresses.

OS X :: Export Email Addresses From Mail?

Aug 14, 2008

Does anyone know if there is a way to export email addresses from Mail? (2.1 using 10.4.11)

Mail must store them somewhere to use for its auto-fill feature.

Is it possible to extract these addresses?

We used to use Quickmail in the past which had a simple option to harvest all mail addresses for a particular inbox/outbox etc.

OS X :: How To Get Mail To Remember Email Addresses From Old Macbook?

Apr 29, 2010

I have had a Macbook for 3 years and have used Mac Mail extensively throughout where it has stored almost every email address I ever need in it's memory so that when I start typing it fills in the options of all the people with that email address. These are obviously not all stored in my Address Book.Well I just bought a new Macbook Pro (loving it!) and of course the Mail app does not have all those email addresses. But wondered if there was any tools in apple mail that highlights a customers email address so i know they are old customers who caused me trouble. Obviously i wont be able to remember all their email address. But it would be nice if there was a way to filter or highlight the email address so i know to refund them and not deal with them

Applications :: Multiple Email Sender Addresses In Apple Mail?

I have one IMAP email account and setup various email aliases. I used for each alias also a sender name. I tried to setup different sender email addresses and names in Apple Mail but did not succeed.

I was only able to add a comma separate list o email addresses to one account but not different sender names for each email address.

BTW, I also can't setup different accounts for each email address because they share the same IMAP Mail Server with the same account username and password.

Applications :: Mail App Messing Up Reply Address For Simple Email Addresses

Mar 25, 2010

When an email comes to me with the following looking "From" field:

From: <person@company.co.uk>

That's with greater than and less than character at the start and end of it. It messes up the reply address.

When I reply to one of these emails Mail.app sets the "To:" field to be:

"person@company.co.uk> <person@company.co.uk" <person@company.co.uk>

When it should just be:

To: person@company.co.uk

Anybody get this behaviour?

Incidentally, you can search for these kinds of simple emails in Mail.app by searching in "All Mailboxes"/"From" for:

> <

That's greater than, space, less than.

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Change Order Of Email Addresses In Address Book / Groups / Mail?

Apr 12, 2012

Many records in my address book have multiple email addresses. No big deal but I wonder if there is a way to tell Address Book / Mail which address to pick as the default.

For example I send a litttle news email one a week to a group of contacts.  I want to send this email to people's personal -- not business -- email address.  I've created a group in Address Book and type that group name in my Mail to line and the group pops up.  But a few of the records pick the corporate address and I have to go in and change those addresses.

I just tried editing one record ... I deleted both "work" and "home" addresses from a record.  Then reentered them "home" first, "work" second.  But when I closed the edit Address Book listed them in the original order (maybe alpha).

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Apple Mail Sends Out Emails When Turned On Adress Book Creates Groups Of Email Addresses?

May 4, 2012

I have had this issue with my address book for a while in that it creates new entries with just an email address as the actual entry and then hundreds of other email addresses from address book as this entry's additional email addresses.

At the same time I had an issue with Apple Mail that I thought was unrelated but now I am not that sure anymore. When I turn Apple Mail on, it sends out emails that look like an endless chain of responses (spam) to the same email that advertises  all kinds of stuff.

When I first noticed the issue I turned Mail off (a year ago). After updating to Lion I tried to use mail again but had the same issue and have not been using it since. But I appear to still find new entries in my address book all the time.

I ran some software (ClamX) but wasn't able to find any malware so far. I can't imagine someone hacking into my machine and doing all this my hand. For what?

So I am wondering whether anyone has had similar symptoms on their Mac?
