ICloud :: Family Account Will Not Transit - Keep Going Round In Circles
May 23, 2012
Keep going round in circles - get Congratulations message from mobileme then still cannot sign into iCloud. Have successfully moved 2 other family accounts weeks possibly months ago but this one will not? Am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 OS X.
I have collectors edition aluminium uMB 2.0 4GB RAM 500GB HDD plus 16GB wifi. I mostly use iTunes, firefox, iphoto, vlc, mail, tweetie, transmission, air video and iteleport, istats all the time. Sometimes use pages and iMovie. I mainly watch tv on it. On iPad I use mail n safari as well as air video or vlc. Thinking of getting rid of the above for MBA 11 base with 4Gb ram plus AEBS attached to my 1.5TB for photos, movies, iTunes. Can transfer latest stuff temp for planes etc like I do on my 16gb iPad.
We use one itune account for music and videos but each of us have Mac computers and two have ipad2s. How do I set up iCloud so we each maintain our own ical, mail, docs, etc but share pictures, family calendar, and music/videos?
Is there any way to avoid having to give my password to my daughter? I have had the same AppleID for many years, and it also my email address, so I would prefer not to share the password with all of my family. As far as I can tell, I can not change my AppleID associated with my iTunes account.I do want my daughter to be able to download apps or updates to existing apps even when she is not with me, but that doesn't seem possible without sharing passwords. It would be great if iTunes allowed "sub-accounts."
Info: iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4), iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2
I have Mac Mail 5.2 (for lion). The program run great except when I try to send an attachment (especially a pdf file) which does not reach the sender. The sender receives the email except for the attachment.
I would like to setup a sort of family calendar on my icloud account, where all family members can see the different family dates. How can I manage to grant access to the rest of the family, who do have their own MacBook and iclouds. On Apple.com it's said, that this is one of the fantastic features of icloud, but couldn't find any discription about how to configure this setup.Â
how to set/change from primary iCloud account to second account on Mac? i have two account in iCloud. the primary account doesn't syncronizing to my other device coz in my other devices such as iPad, iPhone are using second account. Â
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.2), iPhone 3Gs, iPod Nano 5G, New iPad
Why I would I use one over the other, the Red X to close a window or the Yellow - to minimize a window? With both functions the program is still running the background, so I don't get the differences other than with using the Red X the application won't be on the dock. Why is one used more over the other, when they basically do the same thing?
i was watching a video in full screen and as it was over nothing happened - usualy it would end full screen and return to my apps, but I just got the spinning beach ball. After a minute of beach ball I got worried, so I tried cmd + tab to switch to another app, but nothing happend. I left it alone for 5 minutes or so, but still just black screen and beach ball...
So I held down the power button and waited for the laptop to power off, waited a short while and hit the power button; got the chime, got the apple, got the loading spinning circle, ..., ..., ..., ..., black screen and then the chime again and now this black rectangle telling me I needed to power off the computer and start it again. So I did - chime, black box of text; and so on 3 times.
i tried downloading music from my computer to my iphone and none of the new music would transfer. It wouldn't play on my phone or my computer after I tried to transfer the music. It looks like this on my screen
I've notice on the Apple site in the build/buy section that the little blue highlighted circles don't appear in safari unless I open a new window! If I visit the same page in a new window then they appear! The same for Youtube in the edit subscription section. I've reinstalled flash but no luck.
I'm currently using the 30-day trial of Aperture 2 trying to decide between it and Lightroom. In Aperture, the little red/yellow/green circles in the top-left of the program are all gray - even when the program is in focus. Is this simply because the software is a trial?
I have replaced many of LCD in PowerBooks and one of the things I noticed is after you remove the aluminum panel there's a little round magnet on the back of the LCD... What is this for? I have also seem a handful of cases where pressure applied to the back panel has caused this magnet to crack the LCD.
I'm looking for a good headset that will serve me well for music, gaming, and VoIP, and I'm hoping y'all will have some good advice for me. I've been through two headsets so far without luck and done a fair bit of research already. I've come up with the following requirements. We'll see what you can come up with. Must be USB. I don't want to mess around with adapters and crap.Must have an around-the-ear (circumaural) design. I have a big head, sensitive ears, and I wear glasses. Over the years I've learned to just stay away from any design that touches my ears at all.
I contacted Apple, who got me to a 'battery specialist,' who asked me to send in my system profile. A new battery was authorized, based on the fact that my battery didn't seem to be reaching capacity (or something to that effect).
Before I go to sleep, I always put my Mac in sleep mode. But about 90% of the time it wakes up about 2 or 3 seconds later, and I have to put it back to sleep again.
Why is this happening and how can I resolve the issue?
I booted up my Mac Mini last monday to find for some reason it is stuck in that loading screen which displays a grey background, the apple logo and a round loading swirly sign. I have tried running disc utility and trying to repair it but it dosent detect any errors, I also tried clearing the PRAM according to Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM and still no joy. I've done a total reinstall of OSX and went through an hour and a half of erasing and reinstalling osx from its supplied discs, however still it wont get past the loading screen.
I've used a usb hard drive aswell and tried installing osx onto that to see if it was a hard drive error but it still gets stuck at the same loading screen. I can access safe mode without a problem. I have done numerous hours of searching the web without any luck to a cure to my specific problem. Specs are Mac Mini 1.66GHZ intel duo core 2, 1gb ram, 10.6 OSX (upgraded from 10.5) 100gb hard drive I have also started up in Verbose mode and got alot of info that I don't really understand, I've attached screen shots of where the loading screen gets stuck in verbose upon 4 attempts at booting up the mini.
This is a strange one I can't seem to fix by deleting preferences or anything. On a ''normal'' Mac running Leopard or Snow Leopard, in the ''Shared'' part of the Finder sidebar, when you mount a drive a little round gray eject button appears beside it. On one single account on my Mac running Leopard 10.5.8 this strange thing happens where it does not appear--all of the other accounts work properly. How do I restore this? I've deleted the Finder preferences as well as the sidebar preferences, force relaunched Finder.
On the bottom of my black MacBook, there is a circle that you use to loosen the battery. Today it fell off, so now the silver underneath part is exposed. I keep trying to put the cover back on but it keeps falling out. How do i get it to stay?
I am getting the error: CANNOT GET MAIL.the user name or password for icloud is incorrect on both of my ipads, my iphone and my Macbook air. The username and password are the same that I have been using for years.
I am a former .me user that was migrated to the cloud. Unitl now, no issues with email. I cann actually sign on to mobile me but still cannot get to the email.
I am trying to access icloud on a second account on my imac but it gets rejected, while i can access icloud on the web. same with setting up mail while it is a legitimate existing account
I have a second MBP that I am syncing to iCloud and when after the initial calendar download from the iCloud server, it won't allow any changes or updates and gives me the following message: "iCal can't log in to you iCloud acount because your password may be incorrect. The server did not reognize..."
I can no longer log into my iCloud account. On both my home and work mini mac I get a dialog box that asks me to cancel or learn more about iCloud (a link to a website). I could use iCloud before.
I have fully upgraded Macbook, iMac & iPhone. I cannot activate my account because I have received none of the "verification emails" from Apple. My email address has not been verified despite Apple IDPassword working otherwise. I have tried everything for many hours - it would be good to receive some support particularly as the MacBook was only bought a few days ago.
I am running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3. A few months ago, I switched from Mobile Me to iCloud. Today I was having trouble with the account being "offline", so I went into Mail preferences and re-entered my password for icloud. Somehow, I now have Mobile Me (inactive) on my computer, but no icloud to be found. When I try to sign in to icloud, it tells me that I am already signed in and to change accounts, I need to delete my icloud account and sign in again
