Intel Mac :: How To Set Uo Xerox Phaser
Jun 3, 2012I have a xerox phaser 6110 wire connected to my router. My imac is also wire connected to my router. I have installed the latest printer driver on my imac but when trying to print it does not respond. I suspect it's something to do with telling the mac where to look for the printer but my mac skills are very low.

Jun 9, 2008I have 2 Xerox 7345 copier/printers in our office and none of the macs will print to them. Xerox claioms they are compatible and I have downloaded the drivers they supply. When I go to print, the mac looks like it is printing, but nothing prints out. Other printers work fine from the same macs. The mac on my desk is a power PC G4 running OS X 10.4.11.

Apr 30, 2009My office just received a xerox Workcentre 7345 and our iMac's can't print from Adobe CS3. They can print from every other program, just not Adobe. The computer I use is a PowerPC G5 and I don't have any issues with it. All of the Mac's are setup the same, have the same operating system and we are on a shared network. We also use the Accounting Feature where you enter a code into the print dialogue box. I am perplexed. I called Xerox tech support and they have no idea what it could be either.

Sep 17, 2010I thought I'd upgrade from 10.4.11 to 10.5.8, Leopard. All went well except now I can't load the print driver correctly to use all the printer facilities. Yes, I went to the Xerox site, downloaded the drivers then through System Preferences looked for the printer to add. Can't see anything that looks like a Xerox, nothing in Appletalk. Go to more printers and it gives me the option of HP IP Printing, two Epsons and a Canon under auto. So I look at Manual. I did get it to work manually by typing in the IP address, but that doesn't allow me to use any of the features of the printer, just the basic print. I did note that there is something under Windows in the System Preferences, but I'm loathe to fiddle with this until I know what I'm doing. I'm at my wits end. Otherwise it's back to Tiger on my backup which will cause other issues. G4 PowerPC, 1.5Ghz: 2GB DDR SDRAM

Mar 27, 2012I've tried everything, and cannot get my 7400 Xerox Phaser to print any Adobe document. I'm using CS5. I've downloaded drivers, driver updates, driver patches. I've reinstalled the Adobe programs. I do get a "communications error" on some other programs, but they still print. I used to get this message with the Adobe programs, but they were still printing until yesterday. Xerox says it's a "Mac thing." Adobe's site is absolutely with no support?

Dec 13, 2010I would like to print a copy of my Nikon D90 instruction manual which is saved as a PDF.
I'm trying to figure out how I can print a booklet using the least amount of paper. My logic was to have two pages to one piece of paper. My printer cannot do automatic duplex so I would have to print using odds and then evens.
Therein lies my problem � if I am printing odds it'll turn out that Page 1 & 3 are printed onto one page together.
So how would I go about printing Pages 1&2 and then 5&6 etc and then when I do the manual duplex it would Pages 3&4 and 7&8 etc
I'm not sure if I'm making sense but hope someone can help � it's 300 pages which I could then print on 75 pages.
I have a Brother HL-2170W which allows for manual feed duplex (that's too hard with 300 pages) or using the odds and evens method.

The duplex printing option is unavailable and is greyed out. I have tried to access the function with the standard OSX drivers and after downloading the HP drivers to no avail. I am looking at upgrading my printer to a EPSON WORKFORCE 600 to allow wireless printing throughout the house and wanted to see if you know if the duplex printing will work with that printer also? That printer also allows auto-duplex.

Hardware :: Duplex Printing With Canon MX350?
Nov 24, 2010Today, I purchased a Canon Pixma MX350 printer, which is capable of automatic duplex printing. However, when I go to Print in Word, the 'Two-Sided Option' in the 'Layout' menu is greyed-out. Having spent a lot of time Googling and found several similar posts (but not for this exact printer), I understand that this is normal for a Canon printer, but that I should instead have a menu that says 'Duplex Printing & Margin', under which I can select duplex printing. However, I can't find any such menu and can't think of any other way to get duplex printing. The Canon driver I originally had (which comes from the CD provided) was 10.29.0.0. I found a newer one, 10.30.3.0, on the Canon website and installed it, but it didn't fix the problem. I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.8.
Since my main reason for buying this printer was because I need auto duplex printing.
OS X :: SL Stops Laserjet 2015 Duplex Printing
Sep 9, 2009II think it's a Snow Leopard issue, meaning that I don't think there's anything wrong with my printer or its connection. Laserjet p2015dn. Always printed duplex when requested, although I can't say for certain that 10.5.8 worked, since I don't print duplex regularly. After SL, I had only the "Manual Duplex" option, and nothing I could do would return my standard Duplex option. I reinstalled, reset the printer firmware, etc. etc. Every place that there's a duplex option, it's checked. Everything else about the printer is fine -- it sits out on the network and prints happily. I have not made a USB connection to see if that makes a difference.

We have one, but from the Mac you must go in and specifically select printing on both sides somewhere in the print screen for each app. Is there a way in the setup of the printer to make duplex printing the default?

Aug 23, 2010I recently got the HP C4780 printer free with the rebate deal. It says that it can two-sided print, but the option is grayed out. Any ideas? Everything else seems to work. Anyone else having this issue or have any ideas? My next move is to download drivers from site, but I hope I don't have to reconfigure the printer, so I am holding out for a few.

Sep 13, 2009After installing snow leopard on my 2.8 GHz 8-core Mac Pro, I cannot do duplex printing. I have also installed the 10.6.1 update. I presume snow leopard thinks my printer driver is up to date, since I have not received the HP printer driver update to install. I have even downloaded the HP Printer Drivers for Mac OS X v10.6 update from the Apple Support downloads site, but I get the following "error message" prior to the installation completion:
System extension cannot be used
The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/hpPlugInInit.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it or contact the product's vendor for an update.
There was a mention elsewhere of a check box in "print & fax" in system preferences to enable duplex printing. Unfortunately, I cannot find this check box.

Feb 7, 2010I have an external hard drive with its own Itunes library. This has been fine until recently when we had the hard drive repaired. Now when I try to sync the songs, they are grayed out and there is no music on the Ipod.
There are two playlists with the same music (my library). One of them looks normal, but the one below "my device" is grayed out. I can't get any music onto the Ipod, even after restoring it to factory settings.
