If you do not use it, and don't need to attach a 2nd HD inside, can you not just simply remove it and make your MBP lighter?I looked around for some specs on the internal drive but could not find how much it weighed. Anyone know?The gains would be minimal but hey every little bit helps right? I mean if it's a couple hundred grams that's almost half a pound.

I have a G5 that is running OS 10.5.8. There is no sound when a video is playing in a browser, for example Utube, GoogleVideo, etc. That is so with all the browsers - Safari, Firefox, Navigator, Wyzo, etc. However the sound does play when playing a video under a normal video player - QuickTime Player, VLC, RealPlayer, etc.

My Safari has been crashing for MONTHS now but recently it would do so more when opening up Youtube on another tab, so I resorted to using firefox for that. But now Safari will crash for NO reason, I'd simply check my email then open another tab and BAM it crashes and lately it wont even let me send the report to apple! And on top of that Firefox wont even open for a second before that crashes too!
Also, I downloaded the new version of Flash, but it wouldn't work on safari and from reading on here I found out the new version wasn't compatible with my mac os x version so I uninstalled and reinstalled the old version like someone said to do and it worked for firefox but it still wasn't working for safari.
Anyways, I tried the "remove flackback" thing and it said "No flashback malware found"... so I have no clue what's going on.

I'm sure this is an easy one, but I'm having trouble finding the answer. I've been using Firefox for many years but recently it's been hanging up with an ''unresponsive script" error. I'd like to move all my FF info over to Safari. My safari is loaded with old info from when I used to use it ages ago. Is it possible to wipe Safari and replace it with all my FF stuff?

like many others I've been using FireFox the past year, but now I want to migrate back to Safari 4. With all my bookmarks that are now in Firefox, of course! Safari 4 has got an import feature. But what kind of file does it want? In any case I haven't a clue how to export my bookmarks from FireFox into any particular file. Do you?
The only thing I could think of to do was go into FF's Bookmarks edit mode and copy/paste the bookmarks menu into an .rtf and an .html file. But that bombed: Safari 4's import wanted neither.

A site that I visit regularly has recently started giving me an error whenever I try to access it. I can get there just fine using the latest Firefox. I've tried emptying the cache and resetting Safari to no avail.

Well I ran that test. I opened 33 tabs in FF 1.5.01 on my iBook (see sig). FF doesn't bat an eyelash, no slowdown whatsoever.
I'd love to use Safari more, it's so fast and smooth, but whenever I use it's RSS reading function it feels so redundant and dumb, it's like why don't I just go to the blog as I normally do? I love how in Firefox I can just see all the new stories quickly in a drop-down menu and go stright to the ones I want to read right away, is there no way at all to do that in Safari? Or is there some plugin program out there that does that?

That is mainly it, I just want those two features. To me Safari works a heck of a lot better than FireFox. FireFox for me always crashes even when I have no add ons or anything. YouTube is usually slow and it is just better to use Safari to me. Any advice for the above features on Safari?

I've heard that Opera is a pretty good browser... Will it work on Panther and how much space does the App take up on the HD. And lastly any problems running the 3 of them untill I decide that its worth changing...then if so, how do I throw out the old Safari app.
