Software :: Rosetta Stopped Working - Way To Installed Apple Software Updates?

On my MacBookPro, 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, 1.5 GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.4.11, all rosetta emulated applications as Apple Works 6, Toast 6, Microsoft Office 2004, PhotoshopElements 3 and so on, suddenly have stopped working. A short flash of the program symbols ist all I get when I try starting one of them. Everything has been fine for the last three years!Before that, I noticed that I could not install the Security Update 2008-007 Intel, no matter if by software update or manually (for the download version I get only an error notice that the checksum failed, when I try to activate the .dmg). Other Apple software updates were installed without any problems.

I installed 10.5.7 yesterday. Immediately after the installation was complete, my Apple bluetooth keyboard stopped working. Went into Bluetooth system settings, and it said that there was no bluetooth hardware found... (it's built into the machine!!)...
Also, every time I start iTunes, it gives some weird error about Adobe Flash player. I'm not at home now so I don't have the exact wording of the error with me, sorry...

I was using Rosetta Stone without a problem for over a month. Now when i try to start it up it freezes with the screen saying "Installing Updates". In the Console I get this message
"Rosetta Stone[73642] Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using
NSQuickDrawView, which has been deprecated. Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz."
I tried to repair permissions but it changed nothing.

My Apple Remote recently stopped working with my iMac and I cant figgure out how to get it to work again. I've changed the batteries and I get a blinking light when I hold it up to the iSight camera. It was paired with my mac, but didn't work, so I tried unpairing it and re-pairing it, however, now it wont pair again. It worked fine untill about a month ago, then just stopped working.

Some of my Apple apps have stopped working.
this includes the app store, software update from the apple menu, messages.app etc (iPhoto, mail all work fine)
when i noticed it, it for on stickies.app - i went to my backup, copied the .plist file from that and pasted it to the version on the computer. it began working fine - now I've backed up over the top of that so no more option...
ive repaired permissions etc all the usual steps

So recently my apple remote stopped working. It is sending a signal cause I checked with a digital camera to see the light working. I do not have the "Disable IR Receiver" checked in the Security prefs. I do have the newest software of EyeTV as well as an Elgato EyeTV 250, however that never caused an issue in the past, nor do I think it is the cause of the current problem. Also my remote is not paired to a specific computer. Does anyone know the sich? OR Where are the Apple Remote config files / any Apple Remote files located so I can replace them with my friend's files on her iMac.

have been using Mail (to my Yahoo account) for a few weeks. A few days ago it just stopped working. Checked the Connection Doctor, no issues, able to connect with the Yahoo server. I am able to send email, just not receive. After a bit of reading I tried to do the Rebuild but it is greyed out. Also not able to delete email messages that are in the mailbox, I delete them but they are not actually deleted, they re-appear. Now I get a message box 'The file 10217.emlx' cannot be opened because there is no such file'.

I have an Apple wireless keyboard and the F1 and F2 keys don't work. I am connecting to a early 2010 Mac mini and running OS X 10.7.4. Seemed like it quit working when I updated to 10.7.4. I've reset my SMC and PRAM twice. Is this a 10.7.4 bug? Any fixes?

I have a MacBook with OS X 10.5 and I was looking at some of the updates I had installed and wanted to delete some that were irrelevant and that I shouldn't have installed in the first place. Somehow I deleted everything in the "Installed Updates" list, I know they are still on the computer because when I check for updates nothing new shows up. Is there any way to repopulate this list with the updates I have installed and is there anyway to remove the ones that I downloaded too hastily or should I just carry on since it is not a major issue? Of course I did not have Time Machine up and running yet.

Since I upgraded to SL 2 days ago (very smooth), I've had the following 2 issues, I need help with one of them (item number one below);
1. in the Apple mail app, now my inbox shows the Notes (you know the yellow notes that appear on iphone also) also, how do i stop notes from showing ?
2. every-time a launch Zinio reader its gives a message that system wants to download rosetta... I keep on saying no. I though Rosetta was the compatibility between intel and PPC and getting rosetta on SL defeats the purpose of the smaller footprint of the operating system !

my Mac has recently been playing up. The other day I turned it on to find just a white screen so I rebooted it though safe mode. Since then i have not been able to conduct sofware updates / save microsoft office files / install any programmes. When I try to conduct software updates I get the following - 'None of the selected updates could be saved. You don’t have permission.'I have checked my permissions and they all look fine.
When I try to open or safe a word file i get - 'Word could not create the work file. check the amount of disk space on your startup disk' I have 19.87 GB available on my HD. When i try to install a programme such as ViursBarrierX6 I get this - ' The Installation failed' 'The installer can't creat the folder "/var/folder/qg/11kx8p703n9cx4zpp27vhm0000gn/T/intsall.12034Cd49UU". '

I am trying to update my MacMini from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 and I am not able to. The user account I am trying to do it from is an admin account. I currently have 4 other updates and I am not able to install any of them and they are listed below.
Airport utility 6.1
Digitial Camera Raw Compatability update 3.13
iTunes 10.6.3
Java for OS X 2012-004 1.0
Here is a copy and paste from my Console install.log only trying to install the Airport Utility and Digital Camera Raw updates. All others were doing the same as these.

I installed the software updates pushed to me the week of May 7, 2012 (installed them May 12th) and now cannot open certain web pages (examples www.cnn.com and www.ancestry.com) but am able to open others (ex. www.harrynorman.com). I installed an update to safari, one for security and another I cannot recall. Rebooted (twice) and still having the same problem. I have a Macbook running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.7.

My computer keeps notifying me that updates available when they've already been installed and are listed as installed.
The Command Line Tools, for instance, are listed as installed a half dozen times or so, yet it's cosnattly being offered as an available update. The list of updates available for the computer keeps growing, but they're all installed. Update All or Update will run and go through the process, but the list never clears.
How do I get Updates to work properly and recognize what updates are already installed?

When I install an update via Software Update, the installation appears in System Preferences/Software Update/Installed Updates, but then permanently disappears after a period of time. Same issue in Software Update.log.Is this normal?

When I open my laptop occasionally it has obviously recognized updates and gives me the option to install, I click yes or ok can't remember. When I do it asks me to restart, which I do.When I restart it appears as if it never installed the updates?? When I go to system preferences and check to see installed updates it does not appear to be there?

For whatever reason, when I installed Snow Leopard it did not automatically install the updates for the printer drivers already installed in my computer.
I then tried to manually install the printer drivers using the SL disk and still no luck. The printers that I use are both wireless and work when they are connected with USB. Am I missing something? I'm reading all over about how people have made the upgrade with no problems at all so I'm there's got to be something I'm not doing.
