I have installed Adobe Flashplayer 10 many times and can not get it to work. The installation completes and states successful but when I go to test it it asks me to download. Also when I get to certain pages it states I do not have an mime plug in to support. I am definitely not computer literate and I am hoping someone can walk me thru this.

Is this ok to download or are we asking for more trouble. My computer was affected last week and with the removal tool it was fixed. I just hate the thought of another version. Anyone downloaded this update from adobe?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am encountering the problems 9 out of 10 times when I am watching a video on youtube in fullscreen. The problem seems to be when I use fullscreen.... It also crashes when on other sites watching videos, but I use youtube daily.. After it crashes, I need to quit safari first and then restart safari for internet to work again, otherwise I need to wait 1 till a few minutes for it gets to my homepage and internet works again.
I tried reinstalling safari, reinstalling flashplayer and resetting safari, but with no luck. Don't know if it will do any good, but I am on the first MB aluminum unibody, using Safari 5.0.1 (6533.17.8) and I think flashplayer 10.6
I wanted to add the error, but it is to long. If someone want to look at it, I am happy to send it through email or whatever is handy....
I've been having an issue with my flash player for a long time now. Basically, whenever I go to a site such as [URL] the box where the movie should be just says: Click Here to Download Plugin, and whenever I click to download it, the automatic download fails and I have to go to the manual download. Well, that all works fine (I've tried both the .dmg and the .zip files) until it opens the Adobe Flash Page after the download and installation are complete, and I still get that message that I need to download the plugin that I definitely JUST downloaded and installed.
This has been going on for a very annoying two weeks now, and I've even gone through my desktop and deleted a bunch of my stuff in order to free up my memory and get my computer running a tad bit faster, but that didn't do anything. Frankly, I'm annoyed, and just one step from taking my computer to the store and getting them to look at it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am running Safari 5.1.5 on Lion 10.7.3. For about a year now, I have been having trouble running Adobe Flash Player to view videos. I can verify that I have Flash Player 11.2.202.235 installed, but on some (not all) website, most notably [URL] I just get a button to "Get Adobe Flash Player" even though I already have it. Flash-based ads work fine, it's really just for videos. I end up having to watch the non-working videos on Chrome where they work fine.

why doesn't adobe flash player work in my mac? as i've installed it quite a few times but the problem is still same. i have OS X 10.9.3. i even tried uninstalling all the old files related to the flash player and restarted the machine. i have been getting this problem for a few days only.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a 2002 eMac, 700 MHz, G4 processor. I have OSX10.3.9. The machine and software runs flawlessly. However, since 10.3.9 is the latest version of OSX I can run due to hardware limitations, I am often unable to look at certain websites since they use the latest Adobe Flashplayer that I am unable to download because of of the 10.3.9 version I am running. I have Flashplayer 7.0 on my machine.
Is there a later version I can download?
I was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem and has a solution. So I opened Bridge CS4 (Snow Leopard is my OS) and selected a photo. Clicking on View - Full screen Preview on the menu bar doesn't show the picture full screen, and pushing space bar to view a full screen preview doesn't work either. What happens is that when I push space bar to get a full screen preview, the entire menu bar at the top of the screen and the dock disappears. So I'll click the desktop, and they reappear, but once I click Adobe Bridge, they disappear again. So I have to alt-q to quit adobe bridge to see the main application menu bar.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my HD and did a clean install of Snow Leopard. Before the upgrade, I could view PDFs in both Safari and Firefox in-browser with Adobe Reader. I prefer this to Preview because of the toolbar options. After the upgrade, even though I have Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Reader installed, I can not view PDFs in-browser with it. Safari defaults to Preview as a reader and Firefox defaults to download the PDF (I thought it would install the plugin when I installed the Reader. I can not find an independent reader plugin for firefox online). I am running Safari 4.0.4, Firefox 3.5.5, Adobe Reader 9.2.0, and Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1.3.

I'm running osx 10.6.4 and Adobe Reader is giving me fits. It doesn't play well. How do I change the default PDF reader from Adobe to Preview or iArchiver? Adobe Reader just grabs hold of the download and won't let go.

It will not be my primary machine as I have a custom built i7 Win7 rig so I will be using it when I want to use mac software and when I'm out and about. The 17" is ruled out because of portability and cost and so is the i7 15" becasue of cost. I'm not sure if I should get the 13" 2.4, 13 2.66 or the 15 i5. I'm a web designer so I will be using most of adobe CS5 (Dw,Ps,Ai mainly). Will the resolution on the 13" be good enough? Will I notice a difference between the 2.66 and the 2.4?

I'm yet to figure out a pattern, but my Macbook Pro's keyboard will just stop working for several minutes at a time at random points in time...Even if I hit caps or num lock, they don't turn green. Sometimes it'll just happen once every few hours, but I was in class the other day and it would work for a minute, then not work for a few, than work for another minute, etc.

I recently spilled a protein shake over my mb pro. It spilled on the right side, but I quickly cleaned it with a wet tissue and dried it up. The problem, now, is that the illuminated keyboard isn't working..only a few random keys are working and the rest aren't..

I've noticed that occasionally my IR sensor stops working, and no longer responds to changing the volume, skipping the track in iTunes, etc. It can be resolved by going into Security prefs, disabling and re-enabling the IR sensor. This is annoying, however, and I'm wondering if it's a known issue that might be fixed.
I noticed that when you disable and re-enable the IR sensor, the last few remote button pushes you made while it was broken come through in a burst.
My Late 09 MacBook Air has been working a treat, not a spot of bother. All of a sudden, about 5 minutes ago, I've gone to go online to download some research papers (I'm *trying* to write an essay) and it won't load anything. Not even my Twitter app. It is connected to the right network, which is working absolutely fine on every other device in the house (windows computers, iphone etc). I've turned it off and on twice, the way that us clueless folk do.. now I don't know what to do.
