Intel Mac :: ADOBE Flashplayer Update Today?

Apr 16, 2012

After the flashback malware last week and the update from Apple to get rid of the trojan, Adobe is asking for another update to there software.  Is this ok to download or are we asking for more trouble.  My computer was affected last week and with the removal tool it was fixed.  I just hate the thought of another version. Anyone downloaded this update from adobe?

OS X :: Mac10.5.4 Update To Address Adobe CS3 File?

Jun 5, 2008

As expected, Apple on Wednesday evening delivered to its developer community the first pre-release copies of its upcoming Mac OS X 10.5.4 Update, which repairs a critical flaw in saving files from Adobe's Creative Suite bundle.

The software, labeled Mac OS X 10.5.4 build 9E6, weighed in at 55 megabyte -- just a fraction of the size of the recently released Mac OS X 10.5.3 Update's massive 420 megabyte package.

People familiar with the software say Apple has indicated to developers that there are presently no known issues with update, which address issues with iCal, digital camera decoding support, LEAP connections via AirPort, and sometimes missing HTTP headers.

More importantly, those same people say, is a fifth that will allow Creative Suite 3.0 users to once again properly work with files that reside on a remote server.

Immediately following Apple's Mac OS X 10.5.3 Update released last month, CS3 users flooded Apple and Adobe's support forums to report that they could no longer properly save files from InDesign, Photoshop, and other CS3 programs to a location on a remote server. The files would become corrupt, those users reported, rendering them useless.

In addition to evaluating the aforementioned fixes, Apple has also asked that its developers focus their testing efforts on a handful of system components once having installed build build 9E6. Among these are AirPort, iChat, print, ruby and samba.

On Tuesday, AppleInsider reported that Apple was preparing the first beta releases of Mac OS X 10.5.4 to arrive in developers' hands ahead of its annual developers conference which kicks off on Monday. [ View this article at AppleInsider.com ]

OS X Mavericks :: Can't Update Adobe Flash Player On IMac

Jun 28, 2014

I have Flash Player set to update automatically.

For the last month or so I've been getting pop up messages on my system that I have to update Flash Payer.

I click the link, download the installation dmg, double click the installer, 4/5ths of the way through it says it can't complete the operation. (I close all browsers etc. )

Google Chrome is running the latest version of Flash as it does it automatically (v14), but Safari and presumably anything else that uses Flash is running v13.

Applications :: Flashplayer Crashes In Youtube Using Safari

Aug 26, 2010

I am encountering the problems 9 out of 10 times when I am watching a video on youtube in fullscreen. The problem seems to be when I use fullscreen.... It also crashes when on other sites watching videos, but I use youtube daily.. After it crashes, I need to quit safari first and then restart safari for internet to work again, otherwise I need to wait 1 till a few minutes for it gets to my homepage and internet works again.

I tried reinstalling safari, reinstalling flashplayer and resetting safari, but with no luck. Don't know if it will do any good, but I am on the first MB aluminum unibody, using Safari 5.0.1 (6533.17.8) and I think flashplayer 10.6

I wanted to add the error, but it is to long. If someone want to look at it, I am happy to send it through email or whatever is handy....

MacBook Pro :: Startup Disk Full After Adobe Flash Player Update

May 15, 2012

I received an update request for a new version of the Adobe Flash player this morning. I accepted it and the installation seemed to work fine. The only special was that the last 5% of the installation took some minutes to install.

Minutes later the system (MAC OS Lion) sent a warning that my startup disk is nearly full. The disk had about 150GB free disk space. When I checked it with the finder my disk space was about 350 MB and declining. I disconnected the MacBook from the internet and the the declining of the available disk size stopped.

If I check the disk information (using the finder) of the harddrive and it showed only 350MB as free. If I check the size of the folders on the top layer and add them together I should still have about 150GB of free disk space.

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Can't Update Adobe Flash Now Word, Chrome, Etc All Crashing On Startup?

May 27, 2012

Was having Adobe shockwave/flash problems while running Chrome, which is not completely unheard of. Restarted my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8), which included a software update (though I'm not sure exactly what programs were updated). Now Chrome will not run at all. Every time I start, it crashes immediately. Have tried SEVERAL times to trash/download it, but the same version seems to keep appearing in my Applications folder. Have also tried trashing the Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome folder to no avail. Appears back in its place after dragging it to the trash.

In addition, Adobe flash videos for Safari and Firefox (which I just downloaded as a tester) also will not work. Each attempt to update Adobe Flash also ends in a crash. And now I've discovered the same for everything Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The program shuts down and the Microsoft error message appears breifly, followed by the same crash "Mircrosoft Word Error Reporting Quit Unexpectedly" box.  Again, have tried several times to download Chrome & Adobe Flash to no avail. All system updates have been made to date. What to do next?
