OS X :: Adobe Bridge CS4 And Full Screen Preview Not Working?
Oct 21, 2009I was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem and has a solution. So I opened Bridge CS4 (Snow Leopard is my OS) and selected a photo. Clicking on View - Full screen Preview on the menu bar doesn't show the picture full screen, and pushing space bar to view a full screen preview doesn't work either. What happens is that when I push space bar to get a full screen preview, the entire menu bar at the top of the screen and the dock disappears. So I'll click the desktop, and they reappear, but once I click Adobe Bridge, they disappear again. So I have to alt-q to quit adobe bridge to see the main application menu bar.

Mar 29, 2009I'm used to Bridge now, it's faster than iPhoto and I can use my own folder structure instead of the ridiculous "events". Places/Faces and the slideshow of iPhoto is great though.
Anyway, when I'm in "thumbnail view" in Bridge, the thumbnails exceed my screen width. So if I'm on the most right thumbnail on my screen, and I go one right, it goes about 3 more pictures to the right (which I can't see) before jumping to the next row (starting at the most left picture of course).
And I don't see any sliders: no horizontal and no vertical. I can scroll vertically though, but not horizontally.

Nov 12, 2010I'm a photographer and I have tens of thousands of photographs. The way I classify them is the following:
Each shoot has its separate folder, and within that are two folders: Originals and Retouched. Every photograph I consider finished is retouched in Photoshop, and therefore has a modified version in the Retouched folder.
The reason this is important to say is because Aperture does not allow me to do this. Aperture insist on having one version of each image, and it replaces every original with its retouched version, and hides the original.

Feb 14, 2009I have Adobe Photoshop CS3 installed in my macbook ... I dont really use the Adobe Bridge software that came along with it. During install, it never asked me for a custom installation so it ended up getting installed in my mac. Can I uninstall it using AppCleaner and not affect my Photoshop CS3?

Nov 30, 2008Can anyone who is using this card let me know if they have had issues with CS4. I'm trying to determine if this related to the video card.
Problem: When I try to view a slide show or do a full screen view all I get is a grey screen, pictures do not display. The Radeon HD3870 Mac & PC edition meets Adobe's specs for Photoshop and Bridge CS4. Adobe has tested the 3870 with Windows but not with OS X.
Adobe's documentation lists Bridges GPU functions as

Here are my system specs:
MacPro 2 dual-core processors 2.66 GHz
5 GB of certified memory
ATI Radeon HD 3870 Mac and Windows edition
the vidio card has 512 MB of VRAM
I'm running OS X 10.5.5
The driver that is installed is the original from the disk. I could not find an updated driver on ATI's site or Apples site.
My system info shows two listings for the HD 3870, both in slot 1. The first has display for type and yes for driver installed. The second lists ATY, MegaledonParent as type and no for driver installed.

Everything works except the wireless keyboard and mouse, which work for about 20 seconds after starting up and then stop. The bluetooth control panel says they're still connected, but they aren't working, so I'm forced to connect an old wired kb/mouse.

Apr 14, 2010Yesterday, around 6 pm, I lost two Applications: Adium (an IM client), and Adobe Acrobat. Adium was open at the time. I received an IM message, went to click on it, and nothing happened. Then I noticed the icon was grayed out. I opened Applications folder and it was gone. A spotlight search revealed nothing.
Just now I noticed Adobe Acrobat was missing. A look at Time Machine told me that it happened between two consecutive updates at 3:45 and 7:30 pm yesterday, so I assume it happened roughly the same time Adium blinked out of existence.
but it seemed related to an OS X update issue. I have a unibody macbook (not pro) that shipped with 10.5 and the only only updates I have done are minor (to 10.5.8).
A disk utility scan verified my drive as being OK and a virus scan with Clam AV (just to be safe) revealed nothing.
OS X V10.5 Leopard :: Wireless Internet Connects For A Few Seconds Then Disconnects For A Few Seconds?
Jun 29, 2012I am using a Mac Mini with a Realtek USB wireless dongle to connect to the internet. The software and drivers appear connected perfectly and i see the wireless utility and I can access my wireless network, which says signal strength 100%. I connect to it and it accepts the wireless key. Says connected. Then after a few seconds the connection is lost and it says 'Disconnected'. A few seconds later it connects then disconnects and this continues indefinitely but Safari never allows me to access any webpages.

May 13, 2009I have installed Adobe Flashplayer 10 many times and can not get it to work. The installation completes and states successful but when I go to test it it asks me to download. Also when I get to certain pages it states I do not have an mime plug in to support. I am definitely not computer literate and I am hoping someone can walk me thru this.

Jun 3, 2007I've been having an issue with my flash player for a long time now. Basically, whenever I go to a site such as [URL] the box where the movie should be just says: Click Here to Download Plugin, and whenever I click to download it, the automatic download fails and I have to go to the manual download. Well, that all works fine (I've tried both the .dmg and the .zip files) until it opens the Adobe Flash Page after the download and installation are complete, and I still get that message that I need to download the plugin that I definitely JUST downloaded and installed.
This has been going on for a very annoying two weeks now, and I've even gone through my desktop and deleted a bunch of my stuff in order to free up my memory and get my computer running a tad bit faster, but that didn't do anything. Frankly, I'm annoyed, and just one step from taking my computer to the store and getting them to look at it.

May 6, 2012I am running Safari 5.1.5 on Lion 10.7.3. For about a year now, I have been having trouble running Adobe Flash Player to view videos. I can verify that I have Flash Player 11.2.202.235 installed, but on some (not all) website, most notably [URL] I just get a button to "Get Adobe Flash Player" even though I already have it. Flash-based ads work fine, it's really just for videos. I end up having to watch the non-working videos on Chrome where they work fine.

Nov 23, 2009I recently upgraded my HD and did a clean install of Snow Leopard. Before the upgrade, I could view PDFs in both Safari and Firefox in-browser with Adobe Reader. I prefer this to Preview because of the toolbar options. After the upgrade, even though I have Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Reader installed, I can not view PDFs in-browser with it. Safari defaults to Preview as a reader and Firefox defaults to download the PDF (I thought it would install the plugin when I installed the Reader. I can not find an independent reader plugin for firefox online). I am running Safari 4.0.4, Firefox 3.5.5, Adobe Reader 9.2.0, and Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1.3.

After that my dock was no more I have tried making another login but still the dock is missing I dont believe that anything got deleted idk. Also I opened candybar again and I pressed the button to make it restore all the changes is made. It completed the restore but my dock was still missing.

Mar 31, 2009Have a PC hooked up to a Pioneer plasma here, and it's basically used to loop trailers in my video-store. The PC is running Windows 2003, and I thought iTunes is probably perfect for this as all the trailers I use are the 720p ones from Apple's servers. So I connect to the PC with VNC (no mouse or keyboard attached), start up iTunes, start the playlist with the videos and they start running fullscreen. But whenever I close the VNC connection the video window disappears from the Pioneer and I just get the desktop + iTunes. The videos are still running though, as the sound is playing and iTunes say they're running, but the video is completely gone.

May 6, 2009All right, so the problem started when I installed Growl for Mail.app.
I installed it, launched Mail, got a beach ball hurling towards me, then it quit.
That is the main reason I think it has something to do with Growl.
So I guess my question is, what should I do? Right now the only thing I know to do is "uninstall" it. By the way, does anyone know the files to delete if I want to "uninstall" it?

May 20, 2010With Handbrake (I'm running a nightly beta build, but it's proven to be stable so I doubt it's the problem) the audio of DVD quality videos is severely (several seconds) out of sync. With HD TV shows under my own custom iPad preset it encodes beautifully, but if it's simply SD the audio is off in both normal profile, universal and AppleTV. The file itself is fine as I've tested, but it never encodes the video properly.

Nov 21, 2009Is this normal? I've tried changing the number of cores to use at startup as 2 and its a second faster....a second! Anyway, is it normal for it to take 1 minute 45 to start up? I didn't seem to take that long before but its suddenly started doing it.
EDIT: Just to point out, its the 2.53ghz, 4gb macbook pro with 250gb HDD
