When I attempt to ownload the latest version of flashplayer, I get a black screen with nothing happing. or if I opt for the "download linked file option" all that is downlaoded is the web address for the the download?

After the flashback malware last week and the update from Apple to get rid of the trojan, Adobe is asking for another update to there software. Is this ok to download or are we asking for more trouble. My computer was affected last week and with the removal tool it was fixed. I just hate the thought of another version. Anyone downloaded this update from adobe?

I am encountering the problems 9 out of 10 times when I am watching a video on youtube in fullscreen. The problem seems to be when I use fullscreen.... It also crashes when on other sites watching videos, but I use youtube daily.. After it crashes, I need to quit safari first and then restart safari for internet to work again, otherwise I need to wait 1 till a few minutes for it gets to my homepage and internet works again.
I tried reinstalling safari, reinstalling flashplayer and resetting safari, but with no luck. Don't know if it will do any good, but I am on the first MB aluminum unibody, using Safari 5.0.1 (6533.17.8) and I think flashplayer 10.6
I wanted to add the error, but it is to long. If someone want to look at it, I am happy to send it through email or whatever is handy....

i have a G4, serial number qt21106cl3v. i just installed os x 10.2.3. i cant get on fb or any site that uses flash. it says for me to download shockwave. ive tried and it wont install. i tried to download a new browser, like firefox, or another version of safari and i have no luck.
i cant decide whether its a virus or what. i just got the computer from a yard sale and its in excellent condition. i had to reinstall os x though cuz it had no os. any ideas?? you can find additional info by searching for specs through the serial. i have no prior knowledge of macs and am trying to learn quickly.
also, as in the heading, safari keeps crashing when i try to download any kind of new browser, and the auto updates arent working either.

I have a new iMac with Leopard. When my files were transferred from my older iMac, Safari didn't load. I downloaded Safari, but two days later it disappeared. Now when I try to download Safari from the web I get the following message when I select the Hard Drive as the destination:
"You cannot install Safari 3 Beta on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
I have installed Adobe Flashplayer 10 many times and can not get it to work. The installation completes and states successful but when I go to test it it asks me to download. Also when I get to certain pages it states I do not have an mime plug in to support. I am definitely not computer literate and I am hoping someone can walk me thru this.

I am using a 2002 eMac, 700 MHz, G4 processor. I have OSX10.3.9. The machine and software runs flawlessly. However, since 10.3.9 is the latest version of OSX I can run due to hardware limitations, I am often unable to look at certain websites since they use the latest Adobe Flashplayer that I am unable to download because of of the 10.3.9 version I am running. I have Flashplayer 7.0 on my machine.
Is there a later version I can download?
OS X 10.5.6 at the moment. I get the following error if I try to update using software update:
I can update other software, like iTunes, fine.
Softwar Update says the update is 286MB in size, I can only find the 442MB delta update and the 729MB combo update on the internet.
Every time I try to download it, it says error about 80mB into the download.
Then it tells me to look for the package through Finder but I can't find it.
And it happens EVERY TIME I try to download it.
It's driving me nuts that I'm wasting my precious internet on this pointless downloading! I could have had the update by now!
I am just wondering where can I download the update 10.5 for ibook g4? (safley, no viruses) or where can I buy it and how much ?

I ran software update, and it stated 10.6.3 was available. I went to download it and it said it wasn't able to, I then refreshed and it was gone.

The access privileges point is a bit odd as I am the owner and sole user of this MacBook. There is no sign of the Installer in the Trash so I can't get it from there.

When I click on a link to download, the page loads for a second and then gets stuck on a grey screen and the download window doesn't open. They are both running 10.5 software and don't have snow leopard on them. The one set up and works fine, but the other I can't seem to get a good driver for when setting up the printer. The download from HPs site doesn't just have the driver, it's an entire package that you have to install. I found info on Apples site about a printer update :Mac OS X 10.5.3: Printer drivers included in the HP Printer Driver Update v1.1.1
