the Firefox addons on Mozilla's website work on OSX when using Firefox? I just wanted to make sure since I like using all of the apps on my firefox configuration and was thinking about buying a mac. I know a lot of 3rd party apps that aren't specifically made for Mac at times will not work
View 1 RepliesI just updated my mozilla firefox to the new version and it deleted all of my bookmarks. I didn't think it was a big deal because I could just re add them. When I restarted the application after re adding all of them they just deleted again. I deleted firefox and re downloaded it but it still keeps deleting my bookmarks when I restart it.

Well trying to access the site forums i keep getting 404 bad request i am using mozilla by the way. my mac mini running mozilla can access the site my laptop running xp can access the site but my desktop running vista cannot at the moment any ideas on how to fix this oh and this is what the error says your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. size of request header field exceeds server limit could deleting the cookie fix the problem an i can access the front page with the rumors are. oh if this is in the wrong place move it

I cant seem to get quicktime videos to work with firefox for example when on the apple site the videos dont work it just tells me to download quicktime 7 but I already have quicktime 7 and quicktime x (i am running snow leopard). When I go on to the apple website and try and watch videos on safari they load but I would rather use firefox as opposed to safari.

A site that I visit regularly has recently started giving me an error whenever I try to access it. I can get there just fine using the latest Firefox. I've tried emptying the cache and resetting Safari to no avail.
I can access the website if I disable Javascript on Safari However, I can access by using firefox!

I am logged in under a different (old name) because I was just using firefox, and it froze up on me. So, I restarted my computer and Firefox and Handbrake are missing from my dock. VLC is still here, as is the one other program I installed. Using Safari, my user name is now in red, and I can't log in. I just got my mac mini about 10 days ago.

It also happens on YouTube when I scroll down to view the comments, it is slow when I scroll through where the video is and it speeds up when at the comments.
I have a website that I need to open with Safari as it won't display properly in Firefox 3.6.3. From the Address Bar in Safari, I dragged a link to my desktop, right-clicked and checked it to always open with Safari. The name of the link is something like "PITA.webloc"
When it opens that first time, it dose open in Safari, but subsequently, always opens in FF. I also right-clicked to "Get Info" and indicated it to always open with Safari. While "Get Info" shows that correctly, it still always opens in FF.
i think it is something in the code... not sure.
i do not know anything about these codes, but i really hope that there is someone out there who can explain it to me, and what i am doing wrong.

I have been having problems with my Safari and firefox. They both say they are up to date. When I use fire fox to look at Hotmail.com, it takes a while to load and when I try to open mail in new tabs, it opens a tab saying "javascript;;".
When I use safari to look at hotmail, it does an infinite loop and stays blank..the URL thingy just goes in loops. I mostly use fire fox, and some times when I go to type, I will get a 10 second delay before my text appears..
I just switched to a Mac and now I cannot get onto the Consumer Reports website because they require Internet Explorer or Firefox as a browser and I am using Safari. What can I do?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI don't like Firefox 11 one bit and am yearning for 3.6. I read online to drag firefox 11 to trash and that, of course did nothing to actually uninstall. I then dowloaded 3.6 and 'installed' that, restarted but still firefox 11 lives on in my computer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been loving every minute of my new 17" i7 MBP except for one thing. After waking my computer from sleep, the Firefox browser doesn't work correctly. I can see the window, with all my tabs, but nothing is clickable except for the menus at the top. I have to restart the browser in order to get it to work. It's not the biggest pain in the arse, but I'd like to pop open the computer and start browsing instantly. Any thought as to what may be causing this or what I can do to fix it?

None of the links IN THAT BOX work for me. By "work" of course I mean go anywhere or do anything. It's as if I'm clicking in an area of a page without links.
This happens for me in other sites with similar links. What gives?!
I've checked Firefox and am running the latest version of javascript. I'm also running the latest version of Firefox 3.6.8. I'm on a Mac OSX 10.4.11 - old system software, I realize, but I simply haven't been able to afford moving beyond this (plus my Mac is a Macbook, 2GB RAM, 80GB HD - old unit).
would love to be able to use Firefox 3, but the finger gestures doesn't seem to work browser back and forward with 3 fingers.

i'm having this minor but annoying problem with Firefox. every now any then when I move my mouse over the volume button while I'm watching a Youtube video in order to get the volume bar to pop up, nothing happens. if i click repeatedly on the button and go crazy it will pop up, but it will not let me slide the volume bar up and down. i don't remember having this problem with Safari. it's sort of like the browser isn't recognizing my mouse cursor hovering over the volume area in order for it to trigger the bar to pop up, if that makes any sense.

Recently I have installed Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for my Mac (Leopard). Though it shows successful installation, my java applet simply will not work under Firefox and Safari. I have checked out the browsers' preference setup and the java boxes are checked. I just cannot figure out why the java applet will not work; I've heard Leopard has this downfall. Anyway I can fix this problem?
