I've been unable to connect my iPhone 5s to iTunes for about a month. My mac book air is up to date, as is my iPhone.Â
How do I uninstall iTunes to then enable me to reinstall?Â
Safari 4.01 keeps on hanging, not crashing as such but wait for ages and may or may not come to life after that, reported the bug several times to Apple.

I've had constant trouble with Safari 5.0 not wanting to load a page or constantly hanging with what appears to be one or two items left to load from the page. Often, I have to stop Safari and then reload the page to get it to work. I noticed quite a few other people having the same type problem on Apple's support forums. So far nobody seems to have an answer. Anybody have any ideas as to what's going on here?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy wife's iMac MC508 is 2 weeks old, I had to re-install it after 1 week because Safari kept hanging. It was working ok yesterday lunchtime when I used it but last night my wife switched it on and just got the white screen with logo, then a blank progress bar then the circle thing before it shut itself down. We have tried all the key combinations that we found online but no change. The only thing I have not done is put the install disk back in for fear of not being able to eject it. Has the hard drive packed up? Does this mean a trip to an Apple store?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHave been having problems with my iMac hanging which I think is caused by Safari. Safari (5.1.7 )will be working OK and then hang with the spinning wheel. Am then unable to quit and finder hangs in turn and I end up doing a restart with the power button. Have 1 external hard drive attached which is partitioned for Time Machine backup and iTunes library. In attemt to address problem I have previously erased my iMac and reinstalled all software (from new rather than from Time Machine backup) and then reinstalled user files (but not application library files in case any of these were corrupted. Problem is common to all users.Â

I upgraded to snow leopard, loving it, got back close to 20 gigs of hard drive space. But when i go and click on items on the desktop, its beach balls for 10 seconds on average, and then continues to operate fine. This is especially noticeable in safari when hitting command-t to open a new tab. I went out and bought a g-drive one terabyte to clean out my hard drive. I would like to do a clean install, but would like some further input as to any new ideas or if it happened to you. I usually have open itunes ical and neo office. I have the 2.4 MBP Feb 09 stock currently.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving an issue with Safari loading youtube videos. When a video is buffering Safari becomes very choppy or unresponsive until the video is fully loaded. Only Safari slows down no lag in the os or an excessive amount of CPU usage. Tested in Firefox to make sure it wasn't my internet connection and the video loaded and played fine without any hiccups. I updated my flash player and Safari to 5.1.5 just to see if that would solve anything and tried clearing the cache.

Just did update to Safari 5.0 via software update. G4 Dual 867 OSX 10.5.8. Crashes every time I attempt to click on any link. Starts to connect, Beachball-crash. If left idle, without clicking any link, still crashes after less than a minute. Fixed permissions, re-installed with download from Apple site, permissions again..... no difference. Disabled Click to Flash, Ad Blocker...same thing. Just won't work!!!

Safari is constantly shutting down on me. I dont know how to fix it....here is the message I get whenever it shuts down

After Latest update (security update) that came out not so long ago, my safari experience has gone from good to bad. I have crash on me at least twice a day. Anyone else had this? I noticed that it usually happens when I try to compose email on Gmail, when I press compose and enter my friends email press enter to select contact, after that the wheel starts spinning and then you get "Safari quit unexpectedly"
Does anyone else have this issue? Also my startup times started to get slower.
I need Safari to refresh every 2 seconds or so. Does anybody know any add-ons or anything at all that will let me do that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to Safari 5.1.4 yesterday, and now about every 20-30 minutes, my web pages all reload. I will be in the middle of a transaction and the page will reload and I will lose whatever I was working on. If I have a tab that was logged into my email, the web page reloads and I have to re-login to my email account.I can't find any way to disable this and it's incredibly frustrating. I was in the midst of buying a plane ticket last night and the web page reloaded when I was in the middle of purchasing the ticket. It actually happened when I was trying to post this thread, and I had to rewrite the entire post again.

I like to open up news websites to get my news. I find a story I am interested in and click the link and read the story. The problem is that when I return to the front page of that website, Safari immediately refreshes the page and makes me wait a few seconds before I can click on another link I was interested in. It is extremely annoying to have to wait for a refresh everytime I go back to the page. Seems a lot worse after the 5.1.7 update.

I am new to this site and macs - I have done a little reaserch into this problem but have not found anything recent i.e. in the last couple of months.
I have the new macbook with all the regular apple software, and the plugins for QT, flash etc - nothing like saft etc.
receenlty sfari crashes on facebook, after i click on a few pages - not straight away.
I have no idea what to do - or if there are anything that might be on my computer that messes with this?
After the last software update, Safari has been acting strange. It slowed down enormously (I keep on getting the colored beach ball) and it freezes many times for lots of seconds.

Since last night's Mac OS upgrade (I use Lion), the cursor in Safari is a constantly spinning beachball. How can I turn it back into an arrow? Safari is still working, by the way--but the beachball keeps spinning.

I have the 2013 15 inch retina Macbook Pro and I have been having a problem with it lately. Whenever I use safari, my browser is freezing constantly. Its is only when I use safari, not any other applications, such as Microsoft word. Normally, I wouldn't consider this a big issue, but it gets worse. When I don't navigate on my computer and let it rest for a minute or so (while running safari and sometimes other applications) this screen pops up:
I have not dropped my computer, nor done anything to cause any damage to it.

I upgraded to Flash Player 10 a few days ago, and since then both Safari and Firefox are crashing almost every time i visit a page with Flash. I have tried uninstalling flash and reinstalling a developer's copy of version 9 but the crashes continue.
I have read a lot of complaints about similar problems, but have not been able to find a solution or even an explanation as to why it's happening. So I don't know if it's a conflict with the latest version of Leopard (not Snow) or what.
Safari has been crashing for me every time I open it. It's mostly on sites like YouTube, which leads me to believe that it's a flash problem. When I open the page it just freezes up and the pinwheel just keeps spinning and spinning. I noticed these problems on my MacBook after I upgraded to Snow Leopard, and now they are arising again on my recently purchased Mac Pro (also running SL). I'm running latest version of SL, Safari, and Flash.
