View 4 Replies View RelatedI noticed I had an older version of the Mac when I tried to download a Photoshop Free Trial off of the Adobe website and noticed they said my version was to low and I could not download it. I was very shocked because tons of people I know were able to do it and they didn't even have a mac. Any way to upgrade my software. How do I do that, where and is it possible to do online. (Photoshop required a min of Mac 10.6)

I have tranferred all my documents to the icloud from mobileme but cannot figure out how to access the icloud to download my Pages docs. What software do I need to have on my computer and how do I go about getting my Pages documents so I can print them? I've spent too many hours reading about this on the web and have not found any answers. This should be easier.

Im trying to update my ITunes on my MAC (laptop) to the newer version so I can then be able to update the latest updates for my Iphone-3G. I don’t require a complete reinstall just need to be able to update my itunes.
What I have tried so far is I had my MAC search for update’s and it said that I should update to (ITunes version 10 . 6 . 3 ) So I asked it to do the update but after 2hrs of waiting for it to download/update it then puts up a message saying the following- (In order to continue installation, please close the following application: ITunes).
When I tried to do this another message comes up that says- (The update ITunes can’t be installed. The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for Apple mobile device support. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
I have also tried to run the update while having closed ITunes before I even start the update but the same problem happens after waiting about 2hrs.
Some one that had the same problem said this might be happening in the older operating systems. But that does not make sense because surely Apple want customers who own a MAC and i-phone to still buy from iTunes.
My MAC is about 4-5years old. I have a i-phone.3G,
OS X 10.5.6 at the moment. I get the following error if I try to update using software update:
I can update other software, like iTunes, fine.
Softwar Update says the update is 286MB in size, I can only find the 442MB delta update and the 729MB combo update on the internet.
Every time I try to download it, it says error about 80mB into the download.
Then it tells me to look for the package through Finder but I can't find it.
And it happens EVERY TIME I try to download it.
It's driving me nuts that I'm wasting my precious internet on this pointless downloading! I could have had the update by now!
I am just wondering where can I download the update 10.5 for ibook g4? (safley, no viruses) or where can I buy it and how much ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIm new to MAC and i was wondering if I could pre-download the MAC update in my windows desktop then save it in my portable HD then copy it over to my MBP.
If so, can you point me to the link where i can get 10.6.2. My MBP has 10.6.1 right now.
I ran software update, and it stated 10.6.3 was available. I went to download it and it said it wasn't able to, I then refreshed and it was gone.
View 24 Replies View RelatedThe OSX 10.5.5 Software Update won't download or install to my MacBookPro. The error message tells me that it can't be saved and that I 'do not have appropriate access privileges. The Installer package has been moved to the Trash. To try again, open the package from the Finder.'
The access privileges point is a bit odd as I am the owner and sole user of this MacBook. There is no sign of the Installer in the Trash so I can't get it from there.
I have recently upgraded from 10.4 to 10.5, everything has been fine apart from I now cannot seem to be able to download anything. When I click on a link to download, the page loads for a second and then gets stuck on a grey screen and the download window doesn't open. I have tried different browsers and all of my updates are current but still nothing.

I am trying to set up a HP PSC 2355 that is on the network shared from a pc. There are two macbooks that will be using it. They are both running 10.5 software and don't have snow leopard on them. The one set up and works fine, but the other I can't seem to get a good driver for when setting up the printer. The download from HPs site doesn't just have the driver, it's an entire package that you have to install. I found info on Apples site about a printer update :Mac OS X 10.5.3: Printer drivers included in the HP Printer Driver Update v1.1.1
which shows my printer as one of the ones that would be updated, but I can't find the link to download the update.

I have Dropbox installed and an update became available. I click on "Update all Apps" and a recurring alert box comes up asking if I want to "Download for free? with text, "This item will be added to your Purchases, and will be available even if your Family Sharing status changes.'" 'When I click "Download" the same alert box keeps reappearing and the file is never downloadedl.
