Jun 1, 2012I am totally confused about my all-in-one. Before Lion I used it successfully for printing and scanning, both using USB and Ethernet connection. I can't recollect using it wirelessly. I'd like to use it wirelessly now, but I have problems. The printer works very unreliably, getting connection error from time to time, and the scanner does not work at all. When I open Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector, I see my scanner but I can't select it. The radio buttons are disabled and 'Do Not Use' is selected. I did completely reinstall the printer, removed all the drivers and Canon software, with no luck. All I need is for it to wirelessly print reliably and scan using Image Capture.

May 16, 2012Trying to scan a sheet to my MacBook Air running Lion, but whenever I open the scanner from the System Preferences, it just stays like this and nothing happens. Reading around, it appears that you can't use the MX350 scanner over WiFi using Lion. It works perfectly on my iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 but unfortunately I can't use that right now.
I've tried inserting a USB stick formatted with Mac OS (Journaled) and it doesn't want to do anything, I've tried installing multiple scanner drivers from the Canon website, I've also tried to do a software update. I'm running Mac OSX Lion 10.7.4 and have a Netgear router supplied by Virgin Media. It prints perfectly fine from the MacBook Air.

May 3, 2012I have just connected my Canon Pixma MG5270 to my iMac running OSX 10.7.3 via WiFi. Printing works great, and scanning from the desktop "Canon MP Navigator EX - MG 5200 series" V 4.0.3 application works like a dream. When I try to scan via the operations panel on the printer/scanner the following comes up - Set the PC to start scanning". This worked fine when connected directly via USB cable. I have searched the web and believe I have the correct settings, particuliarly in MP Navigator:Â
1. Main Menu -> One-click -> Start scanning by clicking the button (checked)
2. Main Menu -> One-click -> Preferences -> General -> Compress scanned images when transferring (checked) -> Change -> Network Device List (selected Canon MG 5200 series_xxxxxxxxx) -> Scan-from-Operation-Panel Settings -> Network Device List (selected Canon MG5200 series_xxxxxxx)Â I have restarted the iMac and printer and always with the same result.Â

Nov 9, 2009when i try to scan photos using image capture, the overview scan works fine, and i can see the photo, but when i press scan, it goes through the actions, and the scanner goes to work, but after the scan is finished, my photo is nowhere to be found. it simply does not show up in the folder i specified.

Jun 17, 2012I have had a Canon MX700 for a few years now, and have generally been very happy with it - when it works.Â
One bugbear of mine is that the "Scan to" button on the scanner stops working from time to time. It will work magically for AGES, then.. Pressing the button shows "Set the PC to start scanning" on the printer.Â
This usually results in me spending hours removing, and re-installing Canon drivers/software, restarting my Mac(s), the Printer, my Wireless, etc, until I eventually get this going again. (Pressing the "Scan to" button results in a list of my Macs to scan to).Â
When the printer is doing this, scanning from the Mac(s) works no problems - using Canon's Scan software, or Image Capture. Printing works fine also. So, the Printer can clearly communicate to the Mac(s). It just doesn't allow you to initiate the scan from the Printer.Â

May 19, 2012I recently bought a Canon Power Shot. I have used it and transferred photos to my Mac and didnt have any problems. Now all of a sudden, I turned it on, to import the pictures to the computer, and the camera just turns itself off and the Mac says no camera detected ! I dont know if this is a problem with the camera or the Mac. The camera works fine when actually taking pictures.Â

Feb 10, 2012I have a new HP Photosmart 7510. It is possible to scan, if I use HP Scan 3 or the possibility in the printer and scanner driver menu. I habe installed the newest driver (3.3.3). In some applications (Acrobat X, GraphicConverter) I need to scan with TWAIN, but it is not possible to choose the scanner because it does not appear in the dropdown menu.
Does any know, if it is generally possible to scan using TWAIN?

Mac shows a message that says "it cannot open de applications installer because the application PowerPC is not compatible anymore" I have tried to search new drivers on Epson website but they still have the old ones.Is there any way I can scan documents again or I have to change printer. The printer works fine to print documents from any Mac application. I know that the application accepts folders via drag & drop onto the app (or alias). This is Plan B as I would much rather be able to simply work from within Finder via context sensitive menus.I've poked around in Automator in creating a new service, but I can't find a way to invoke or pass anything along to DaisyDisk.
