Apr 30, 2012I have a Canon RebelXS digital camera. Do I need to install the specific Canon Software to my IMAC to upload my photos or will IMAC software support this upload?

Can anyone tell me is these will work on any Mac which meets the minimum requirements to install. They are original and just confirm they aren't computer specific with them saying for Mac Computers.

Dec 16, 2009I am trying to upload some photos to email and flickr - and only some of my photos are available (others are "greyed" out) I have done the apple key + I on my photos folder to change the permission so that everyone can read & write, and still half of my photos remain greyed out unless I change each one individually. Mar 14, 2012I'm trying to upload photos from a USB drive. They upload to iPhoto fine but, when closing iPhoto, it does a 'updating photos' and all the photos disappear. It also does it for email photos. Any ideas on the problem or settings? I've done this and it has always worked seamlessly in the past.

May 19, 2012I recently bought a Canon Power Shot. I have used it and transferred photos to my Mac and didnt have any problems. Now all of a sudden, I turned it on, to import the pictures to the computer, and the camera just turns itself off and the Mac says no camera detected ! I dont know if this is a problem with the camera or the Mac. The camera works fine when actually taking pictures.Â

Is there any way I can just click upload and browse through and choose my photos straight from iPhoto?

Jul 5, 2008I seem to have some problems with Java. For instance, when trying to upload photos in Facebook, the java "thing" won't work. It's no longer asking me if I trust the certificate. This has happened on other websites as well.
I have tried to go in to Java webstart in Utilites and when it opens I am getting these messages:

Mar 20, 2010I have a few pictures I took with my digital camera and I want to print them and put them in a frame that is 11.5cm * 7.7cm. So, I need to adjust their size to print them that size.
I don't have a colour printer, so I'm printing off a library computer in colour, so I can't print them directly off my mac. I'm going to need to transfer them on a usb and open them in windows on a library computer. The pictures are in .JPG format since I uploaded them.
-So I went to Preview (program) and Tools > Adjust size.
-I typed in 7.7cm for width and it gave me a locked length of 11.1cm as that would probably keep the pictures proportionate. I'm alright with that.
But then, when I look at my picture, it's much smaller that the actual dimensions of 7.7cm. Then when I zoom in, it is pixelated. That'd odd because I'm actually reducing the dimensions of my picture.
How do I adjust their size so they print to 11.1 cm 7.7 cm?
