Epson Scan.app version 3.8.0 will not open in OSX 10.7.4. I use the scanner Epson Perfection 1640SU. The scanner works with the Image Capture application, but refuses to open the Epson Scan Application. I have tried everything I know to try with no luck.

Microsoft Office does not work after purchasing Lion
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have noticed for few days, that since I have upgraded to OS X 10.7.3 I cannot open my scanner any more. Mac shows a message that says "it cannot open de applications installer because the application PowerPC is not compatible anymore" I have tried to search new drivers on Epson website but they still have the old ones.Is there any way I can scan documents again or I have to change printer. The printer works fine to print documents from any Mac application. It is just the scanner that does not open.

I went to scan photos with new iMac OS X Lion and it says "You can't open the application Epson Scan because Power PC applications are no longer supported." What can I do to support them?

I am totally confused about my all-in-one. Before Lion I used it successfully for printing and scanning, both using USB and Ethernet connection. I can't recollect using it wirelessly. I'd like to use it wirelessly now, but I have problems. The printer works very unreliably, getting connection error from time to time, and the scanner does not work at all. When I open Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector, I see my scanner but I can't select it. The radio buttons are disabled and 'Do Not Use' is selected. I did completely reinstall the printer, removed all the drivers and Canon software, with no luck. All I need is for it to wirelessly print reliably and scan using Image Capture.

Trying to scan a sheet to my MacBook Air running Lion, but whenever I open the scanner from the System Preferences, it just stays like this and nothing happens. Reading around, it appears that you can't use the MX350 scanner over WiFi using Lion. It works perfectly on my iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 but unfortunately I can't use that right now.
I've tried inserting a USB stick formatted with Mac OS (Journaled) and it doesn't want to do anything, I've tried installing multiple scanner drivers from the Canon website, I've also tried to do a software update. I'm running Mac OSX Lion 10.7.4 and have a Netgear router supplied by Virgin Media. It prints perfectly fine from the MacBook Air.

I updated to Lion on my desktop a few months ago and I swear now I can't read older Microsoft word and Excel documents correctly on this computer using Office 2011. The document opens and you can see all of the data in a preview window (from finder) but once it opens fully the data/words are not there. I have Lion on a brand new Macbook Pro I just purchased and installed the Microsoft Office 2011 and it opened the excel document I was having trouble with fine.I can't find many links for Office for Mac issues.Â
View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to Office Depot and asked the cashier, when purchasing, if it would work for Mac. She said "yeah." Well, I'm thinking I didn't get the right info.
So now I feel like I am stuck with this. I had bought it because I was needing to open some Publisher docs sent to me, and the free trials online didn't seem to work.
I recently bought the microsoft office for my Macbook pro, but I just got a new MBA and did the migration assistant thingy. Now the microsoft office on the MBA does not work. There seems to be no uninstall option for the Office 2011.

View 7 Replies View Related im in search of a mac. Not going to go over specs but anyway. As a pc user looking for an upgrade and to try something different, i have now come to the crossroad on what to buy for word processing and the works. Now i have been using office 2007 for the past year and a half and have rehabilitated to the new format. Since the pc version of office 2007 will not run on a mac and i will be forced to pay $150 for the one for the mac. Which is better. I works it only $100 in Canada (going to make that clear i live in Canada) Will i miss Office 2007 or will i work be something that i will enjoy to work with.
I migrated from an old macbook to a new macbook pro. Microsoft Office 2011 product keys do not work, so no Office software. What am I to do?

Has anyone had any compatibily issues with Microsoft Office 11? I frequently make word and powerpoint documents on campus, sometimes on windows computers, sometimes Mac's. I either email the files to myself, or store them on a flash drive. However, when I try to open the files, I simply see a blank document. What's even more frustrating is that these files open in pages on my computer. I suspect I have something enabled on my preferences that is blocking this, but I have no idea what this is. Essentially, any file that I create on my computer works, and also works when opened on another computer. However, any file I create on a different computer(be it mac or windows) is not visible when opened on my computer. I simply see a blank document/blank powerpoint slides.Â

I am unable to set up our office Canon image Runner 3225 (iR3225) network printer up. I have followed the steps on both the canon, and apple site. I have also tried driver UFR II (2.24), and other drivers as well. I can look at the printer online but it will not locate it in setup no matter what I do.

I have an Epson Stylus CX3810 all in one. I can't figure out how to get it to scan. There is no scan button and when I open Image Capture it tells me there's nothing connected.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using a totally legal Microsoft office for Mac. I do not set to share any thing from my Mac to anyone. I got this warning in the log and I do not know whether there is any problem with it. I am a bit paranoid if any spyware/trojan that is trying to open backdoord connection to steal data from my Mac. I also sometimes found some strange files in the recycle bin that named something like "recovery" but it turned into something else when clicked on the files.

I updated to Lion os x and now can not use Microsft Office 2004, I cant open it or uninstall it, it just says powerPC applications are no longer supported.I have lost all emails on Entourage and can only retrieve emails via hostway that have been delivered today.
Trying to get help from Apple care is a nightmare as they need a serial number, which Lion being a digital download does not have one only web order number, which does not work when I put in serial box.

I'm sure there is a work around to this. I recently upgraded to a new iMac and when I insert my Microsoft program CD, it doesn't autorun. You can browse the file set but there isn't an apparent autorun launch that I can figure out. There is an autorun.inf file.
