Apr 1, 2012I figure I'm not the only one who is going through this, but I am hoping there is a way to merge my iTunes account purchases into 1 account. When I was single I had my personal account and bought music, tv shows, & movies under that iTunes ID. At the same time my future wife was doing the same. Now that we are married and have multiple devices including an iPhone, iPad, & Apple TV I'm looking for a way to merge each of our "pre-relationship", personal purchases into our family account.
I already made the "family" iTunes account that all of our devices use, allowing all store purchases from here-on-out to be able to be utilized on all devices. iTunes Match has helped in the music department because I downloaded all of our music from all account onto my computer and uploaded them to iTunes Match, thus making one large stock pile of collaborated account music which is able to be heard on any device linked to our iTunes Match account.
The problem I'm running into is that there isn't a similar option for TV shows & Movies. Right now they are downloadable from iCloud but only when logged in under the particular account. I have downloaded them all onto my Mac but I can't transfer them to my devices unless I plug them into the Mac or I "Home Share" to my Apple TV. Is there a way for me to open my Apple TV, iPhone, or iPad under my family account and be able to access purchases from our other accounts.

Jun 8, 2012My Apple MBP keeps crashing on me multiple times a day. It used to be rare, now it is so frequent, it is easily reproducable. I have tried the Disk Utility and shift+ctrl+option+power btn to reset some unit. but it is not working. Is there a Mac guru that can go through the log and let me know what's wrong? I can't believe Apple makes such crappy products. I fell in love with Apple a couple of years ago and have ended up buying many Apple products, now I have started to hate my MBP I got for almost 3 grand just 2 years ago. May be this is the beginning of the end for Apple, the QA is doing nothing.

ICloud :: Possible To Merge Two Apple IDs?
Jul 1, 2012I started my Apple ID with a gmail account years ago. When iCloud came out I made a new me.com email address under my original Apple ID. It won't let me switch it in iTunes. It says their two different Apple ID's. So I can change my email address in any other services except Apple's. I'm stuck using my gmail until I can switch that.

Apr 23, 2012Recently when trying managing my AppleID account, I was asked to make my appleID the same as my email. When I tried to do this, I was then told that an appleID by that name already existed. So I then attempted to login using my email address as my appleID. It was then that I realized that I have two separate appleIDs. One I have had for years, and has tons of music associated with it, the other I must have created in the last year when updating my iPhone software version. I have no idea how much of what is associated with the new one, but I think the only way I could find out would be to format my phone and start again. I bought MobileMe and now have the @me.com e-mail address, which has an AppleID as that e-mail address. Oct 7, 2010After I erase the hard disk it shows 74.5gb free, almost. It says there is 42.3mb of space being used by 2 files which I understand are used for read write or partitioning or whatever.
When I then leave disk utility and go to the actual installer, the destination disk (untitled - 74.5gb) shows only 73.9gb free space. What is taking up an additional 500mb of space on the hard drive?
Apple support told me that somehow the disk has been altered and I lost space on the disk or I am now using a seperate partition that isn't showing up. Disk utility shows only one partition with 74.5gb free space. He told me I can find information about how to 'merge' the disk on the apple support section under troubleshooting articles for disk utility. I have been unable to locate this information.

I have an iPhone that is set up with my personal apple ID so that my music is on my phone and so that the photo streaming is attached to personal photos, etc. Is there a way to sync my personal contacts with my contacts that are registered with my professional apple ID? Ideally, I would like to have my iOS devices syncing my calendar and contacts with my work apple ID and my music and photos with my personal ID.

Jun 11, 2012I recently logged into [URL] to change my Apple ID. Everything worked fine and I was able to change and sync everything on my iPhone and iPad, except for my iMac. When I enter the Users & Groups section to change the Apple ID associated with my Admin account, it only allows me to add additional Apple IDs and delete those, but not the original Apple ID. I've tried double clicking on the original Apple ID and change it there, but it only creates a different Apple ID when I click done. Now I have multiple Apple IDs and I only want to see one.
