How do I merge two iCloud accounts into one? One account is on my mac and ipad, the other on my iphone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two [URL] accounts. One fairly old me.com account where most of my addresses and stuff are. The other account recently got moved to iCloud (it's part of a me.com family acocunt). I wish to remove the account currently on iCloud and merge it's data back into the [URL]account. But I'm unsure about how to proceed best. I have been burned in the past with this kind of activity, specifically with apple services. Is there a safe way of merging data back and forth between the accounts?

I just upgraded to Lion and moved my MobileMe info to the iCloud. Unfortunately, Apple has created two different iCloud accounts. For the primary account, it wants me to create a new .me email address. I want to use my existing one, but it is listed as a non-primary account, and I can't figure out any way to merge the two.

Recently when trying managing my AppleID account, I was asked to make my appleID the same as my email. When I tried to do this, I was then told that an appleID by that name already existed. So I then attempted to login using my email address as my appleID. It was then that I realized that I have two separate appleIDs. One I have had for years, and has tons of music associated with it, the other I must have created in the last year when updating my iPhone software version. I have no idea how much of what is associated with the new one, but I think the only way I could find out would be to format my phone and start again. This sounds like a terrible test to conduct on myself.how one can merge two separate appleID accounts

I started my Apple ID with a gmail account years ago. When iCloud came out I made a new me.com email address under my original Apple ID. It won't let me switch it in iTunes. It says their two different Apple ID's. So I can change my email address in any other services except Apple's. I'm stuck using my gmail until I can switch that.

I am not sure how it happened but after upgrading the gmail account, the user accounts were changed from standard users to Mobile Me users. None of the users has ever had that type of account, and I am trying to figure out how to get it back to a standard user account. When the user attempts to log in, it asks for the user name, but also the Mobile Me user name (which they do not have). to make it worse, Mobile Me is no longer accpting new users, so I annot just add an account and log in using the new info.

I work in an office that is all mac based and have mac computers at home. I have an apple ID and iTunes account for personal use where I purchase books and music and I have an office apple ID and iTunes account to share calendars with colleagues using iCloud and purchase work related apps like upgrades to operating systems, etc.
I have an iPhone that is set up with my personal apple ID so that my music is on my phone and so that the photo streaming is attached to personal photos, etc. Is there a way to sync my personal contacts with my contacts that are registered with my professional apple ID? Ideally, I would like to have my iOS devices syncing my calendar and contacts with my work apple ID and my music and photos with my personal ID.

Is there a way to merge two separate iTunes accounts into one? I don't want to "share libraries." I just want one account that once stemmed from two seperate accounts and has all of the purchases and history.

I'm setting up daughter new MacBook Pro, migrating data from her old white MacBook. We used Migration Assistant to import her apps and documents from the old laptop. Now she has two user accounts: the one she initially set up on the new MacBook Pro, and the old account we brought over from the old machine. And there are iTunes libraries in each of these user accounts -- I believe they're both set up under the same iTunes account. Â
In addition to the two OS X libraries, there's her iPhone, which was synced with the old white MacBook account. Â
So... what's the best way to merge them all into one (duplicate-free) iTunes library on the new MacBook Pro, and switch the iPhone to sync with the new machine?
I transferred my old mac to a new mac using migration assistant and it created another user account on the new machine. Is there a way to merge the two accounts into one on the new machine?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSomehow all the accounts on my computer automatically changed to standard. The mac website said that this can happen after an upgrade and to fix it run the "reset password" utility from the install disc. I am using a school computer so I don't know where a mac os disk is. I am using OSX 10.5.8. I also don't know the root password.
I tried this to fix it : [URL] but the account I created was also set to standard. Is there any way to fix this without the install disc?
Edit:
I also tried this but it hung after starting SystemStarter: [URL]

View 1 Replies View RelatedMobile Me provided the facility to replace all data on a device from the data on Mobile Me. I have updated my contacts on my iMac. I let iCloud update my newer Mac Book Air but ended up with duplicates Now I want to update my Mac Book Pro which hasn't been used for 4 months and contains all the old contact information I edited off my other two machines. iCloud says the contacts data from my MBP will be MERGED with the data on iCloud. That suggests I will be letting myself in for a complete re-edit again and repeating work already done on the other devices.Â
