I have multiples files (type PDF) that is mostly singled page and want to "combine" or "merge" into one file that contains all the single PDF file. Instead of opening up and drag-move one at a time, is there a quicker, efficient way?

I need to combine word docs, .jpgs, .PDFs, .pptx files from multiple sources into a single PDF. In the past I've used software such as Nuance but I'm wondering if there's something in the MacBook Pro OS or applications that support this function.Â

I have been using Preview to separate pdf pages into separate pdf documents. How might I do the reverse. Preview appears to have combined the documents in the thumbnail, but will not allow saving this. It just saves the highlighted page.

I recently used migration assistant and transfered all my data from my old samsung laptop to my mac. When it was finished I went to organize the data and could not find it, untill i restared my mac and discoverd two users. First user was one from when I started up my mac and created, the second had the picture from my old user on my old laptop..needless to say i figured out thats where all my transfered data went but that is not useful to me at all and i just want it combined on my main user account. all i want is the files and such all on my main user or both users combined somehow, is that possible?

When I open itunes Podcast section I find that it shows multiple folders or podcasts with the same name. I want these to show up as just one podcast. How can I do this?For example:When I look at my HD>itunes>Podcast folder; I see one folder called "Ask Dave", but in my itunes podcast column it show three separate "Ask Dave" podcasts. I have 4 folders as I listed in my itunes>Podcast folder. But in the itunes window it lists 9 folders: 1 - Podcast_Photoshop User TV, 5 - Photoshop User TV, 2 - Photoshop TV, 1 - NAPP TV. These are all the same podcast, and I'd to have just one folder / entry in my itunes window called Photoshop TV and have everything show up in one place.I'm running Leopard and iTunes10?
I have jpegs of a book that I need to put into one pdf file so that it can be more easily transfered. i have found that adobe has a program that has the possible ability to do this, but i dont have access to it and i was looking for a much more simple way to do this..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI figure I'm not the only one who is going through this, but I am hoping there is a way to merge my iTunes account purchases into 1 account. When I was single I had my personal account and bought music, tv shows, & movies under that iTunes ID. At the same time my future wife was doing the same. Now that we are married and have multiple devices including an iPhone, iPad, & Apple TV I'm looking for a way to merge each of our "pre-relationship", personal purchases into our family account.
I already made the "family" iTunes account that all of our devices use, allowing all store purchases from here-on-out to be able to be utilized on all devices. iTunes Match has helped in the music department because I downloaded all of our music from all account onto my computer and uploaded them to iTunes Match, thus making one large stock pile of collaborated account music which is able to be heard on any device linked to our iTunes Match account.
The problem I'm running into is that there isn't a similar option for TV shows & Movies. Right now they are downloadable from iCloud but only when logged in under the particular account. I have downloaded them all onto my Mac but I can't transfer them to my devices unless I plug them into the Mac or I "Home Share" to my Apple TV. Is there a way for me to open my Apple TV, iPhone, or iPad under my family account and be able to access purchases from our other accounts.
I am going through my documents folder to make all my files from the past 10 years universally accessible. I don't know if I should convert all my documents and powerpoints into PDFs or MS Office file types.

I am searching for a plugin, software or a solution for a situation I have with an Excel/Word Mail Merge.
It's a law firm we specialize in DUI/DWI and Reckless Driving defense. We subscribe to a data collection service that pulls data from various court systems around the state. We are then given this data by jurisdiction. The Excel files we receive come with 2 workbooks in one file for Traffic and Criminal arrests data with name, address, reason for arrest, etc, etc.
What I have been doing is opening each Excel file and copying and pasting into a new worksheet only grabbing the DUI and Reckless driving arrests because tis is all I am needing from the various files. I then save the new workbook and do a mail merge with Word from this newly created workbook.
Now my question is there such a plugin or software that will combine all the Excel files I receive from the Data collection house and then be able to filter out only the DUI and Reckless Driving arrests to a single Excel Workbook?
Without having to open multiple windows? Specifically trying to get some notes I downloaded in order.

In Preview, you can open multiple PDFs in the same window, but if you print (or Save to PDF from the print dialogue, it will only do each document as is. I would like to avoid loading multiple pages into Word and then exporting to PDF and I would also like to avoid having to buy Acrobat. Is this PDF function limited in OS X or am I missing something?

As a Windows user, I would have thought highlighting the files and select "get info" would have done the trick, but instead it opened up a series of individual windows for each files. Since most of my most span back a few years the there are tons of photos that have the same file name which is causing a problem now that I purchased a new digital picture frame.
Is there anyway to do a mass file name change? I have a lot of pictures broken down in to folders (events).
