I'm trying to correct a problem with my wife's iCloud email account. I cannot change the 'Incoming Mail Server' name in the 'Account Information panel. If I delete the account and start a new one, I can enter the correct name ... "imap.mail.me.com". However, once I click on create, the Incoming Mail Server name reverts to 'mail.example.com.Â

I don't see a preference option for setting the message body to a font for incoming mail. All of the mail I receive has a font that is too small to read so I would like to increase the font size.

Upgraded hosting plans and have to change my mail server address. I can change my SMTP server but Mail won't allow me to change the incoming mail server. It's greyed out. If I try to delete the account, it says the account is shared with other programs and must be removed in Internet Accounts control panel but it's not listed there to be removed or changed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEverytime I open mail (v.5.2) on my Mac (OSX 10.7.3) I am prompted that the "iCloud has rejected the password for p01-imap.mail.me.com."Â The incoming mail server is set at p01-imap.mail.me.com....and I can't change it, it's greyed out in Preferences - Account Information. Â Further, each time I put in the password, I click "remember in my keychain" and, well, it doesn't because I have to re-enter it every day.Â

I have moved my accounts to iCloud and continue to use Apple Mail; incoming mail does not download and in the preferences the incoming mail server is grayed out and will not allow me to change it. I followed the directions to remove the account and manually re-enter it, but still the same problem.

I am unable to send mail. I have a verizon.net account. Incoming mail is fine, just cannot respond or send messages from this account. It gives me this message: "Sender address was rejected by the server".

Outgoing.verizon.net connection to server succeeded. No login necessary.

My MacBook's default fonts for viewing content in the Malayalam script/language seem to be Malayalam MN and Malayalam Sangam MN -- not surprisingly, since those are the default Malayalam fonts that come with the OS. However, both of those fonts are missing a lot of conjuncts/ligatures. There are some free fonts that do have the missing characters, so I'd like to put them at the top of whatever preference list the OS is using to decide which fonts to choose.

Its been a while that I've experienced freezing session in my mail app (lion os) so as a natural reaction Force Quit>Reopen was the case. After a while I started to notice that it only froze, as in giving me the rainbow wheel, when it was downloading an "incoming mail". Since i get quite a bit of work related pictures and media filled news letters my mail app goes rainbow wheel quite often. After an incoming mail is downloaded, my mail app goes back to fully functioning. There is absolutely no other problems with it. Its just that when mail is being downloaded i cant use my mail app and its starting to get annoying.Â
Im running a mid 2009 MBP 13" with V 10.7.3 and my mail app version is V 5.2 (1257) . I have growl for mail installed as a plug in but i don't think that's the reason for the freezes. Â

Am having lots of Mail issues today, but besides not being able to receive messages, the ones I have gotten with attachments, when you pull down the "save" attachment button, the font is a bunch the letter A in a box. Any way to change to the default font. Have tried changing the font in the preferences, but it doesn't seem to change that area. Cannot read what the attachments even are.

I am old now and I like to see my emails. So I finally found a way to enlarge the font in an email.
Trouble is, the very next email i want to write, the font is reverted to some microscopic cuneiform.

I like my MacBook Air, but the font size when drafting email is a bit too small. For viewing regular email, I know I can use the Command and "=" to increase the size, but that does not work on the drafting window. how to increase the font size I view when drafting. (Just to be clear, this is just for my viewing -- I am not interested in changing the font in the email that is sent (I know how to do that).)

This has happened before. All is well, then one day iCloud Mail decides it won't work and the "exclaimation point" error appears next to that account in mail.Â
Trying to re-enter the account information is futile as the incoming mail server is grayed out, only displaying "mail.example.com" which the user cannot change.Â
Tried deleting the account and re-adding, but it just adds a new, blank account which cannot be modified. At that point, my iCloud mail account is entirely gone from the computer and apparently can not be recovered.Â
