Sep 2, 2010This hint requires that you have apple developer tools installed in order to use plist editor. I have a root account enabled on my system which i was logged into to use this hint, i'm sure some of the more terminal thrifty users can chime in on how to do this through the terminal.
In the finder navigate to applications folder and right click on itunes and select Show Package Contents. Once Contents is open the path is Contents/Resources/English.lproj/TextStyles.plist. Right click on TextStyles.plist and open with Property List Editor.app. in Property List Editor.app locate 9003 and click the arrow next to it.
You will see 3 lines of settings on the FONT row i changed the font to LucidaGrange-Bold. on the SIZE line i changed 13 to 18. then save the file
I now have iTunes with a bold and larger font just the way i like it. Im a musician and use itunes to make my bands set lists I just take a screen capture of the list and print in preview.

May 19, 2012Although the number of unread messages is properly shown under Inbox on the Mailboxes list next to two of my three Mail accounts, the other one shows none when there some. The quantity is also missing from the total number of messages next to Inbox when I collapse the list. This was working fine for many years.Â

Apr 23, 2012I have a Japanese font that I was using in Pages on my iMac (uses Mac OS X v10.6.8). I installed it onto my new MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.7). But when using Microsoft Word, the font won't work. It's listed in the Latin Text Font list, but it doesn't show up in the Asian Text Font list. Is there a way to add the font so it'll be available in the Asian Text Font list?

Aug 27, 2014My MacBook's default fonts for viewing content in the Malayalam script/language seem to be Malayalam MN and Malayalam Sangam MN -- not surprisingly, since those are the default Malayalam fonts that come with the OS. However, both of those fonts are missing a lot of conjuncts/ligatures. There are some free fonts that do have the missing characters, so I'd like to put them at the top of whatever preference list the OS is using to decide which fonts to choose.

You can change them in icon view but that's the only view I never use. My eyes get so tired staring at white all day. If I could make all my windows dark grey I could work longer, better, happier.
