For work, I need to send photos to my editor via email. In Mail, the jpgs automatically become embedded in the body of the the email, but my editor would prefer to receive them as attachments. Is there any way to send photos as attachments in Mail, rather than embedded email itself?

Is there a way that Mail can work like MS Entourage or Outlook and more professionally attach files to the message? For example when I attach a picture or audio file its always embedded into the message at the bottom or top of the email. Outlook and Entourage do not work that way.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I want to save a file that somebody has attached to an email, I open the file - but I can only save a version (which I presume saves it back to the email). So I create a duplicate, and choose Save. In Save all I can see of my documents are the most recently used folders - and I can't see any subfolders. Frequently the folder that I want to save in isn't shown - and I can't find any way of revealing it. And if it is shown, I can't see any of the sub folders - so I have to go through the performance of saving it in one place and then opening the folders in Finder and moving it around - a ridiculously long winded task.

The attachment uploader no longer works, either with Mac Mail, or on Google Chrome or Safari. When trying to upload, the grey area with the folder names moves all the way to the right, obscuring the white area with any files I could upload. When I clear the cache completely in Chrome, I can upload a file if it is on the desktop, but if I move to any other folder the same problem happens again, and I again have to clear the browser to have a chance at uploading something. I can still drag and drop files into the attachment window, but it's rather annoying that I can no longer upload things in the normal fashion.

Mail 5.2 (OS 10.7.4) no longer displays embedded images. This happened after I installed an AirportExtreme wireless router. I can send images as attachments, but received mail with images displays blue box with ?. Using "download image" has no effect. I am trying to locate an attachment file from a recently deleted message. The message is no longer in my trash, so I can't access the file through Mail. In the past, there was usually an archived copy somewhere on my hard drive, but it seems to have moved in my most recent update of Mac OSX. It used to be in the Library folder in my user folder, but now there is no Library folder in that location. Where do I find these files?

When I drag and drop attachments to the Mail, its snap all over the place. PDF will be automatically open, whereas spread sheet, doc and email will be shown in icon.
