MacBook Pro :: Unable To Attach Multiple Files To An Email In Safari Using 2011?
Feb 10, 2012
Safari won't let me select multiple files to attach to an email. I can attach more than one file, but I have to attach them one at a time. Is there a setting I need to change or something??

My first posting. Please forgive my simplistic question, but I need some help.I use aol. When sending an email on my MAC, I'm trying to attach multiple excel (or word) files - let's say 10 excels in a row.So I click on "attach files", and a box opens up, showing all of the files on my MAC.On a non-MAC computer, I'd select the first file, then press "shift", and then use my down arrow to select the next 9 files. That doesn't work on my MAC.How do I attach 10 consecutive excel files when sending an email?

OS is Snow Leopard, Safari is 5.1.2 Since migrating to a hand-me-down MacBook (black) I can't attach files to messages in Hotmail. I click the attachments link, and nothing happens. Works fine in Firefox, b.t.w.

This may be purely coincidence but within the first 2-3 days of shifting over to outlook 2011, none of my emails sent to user@hotmail.com are going through. I get a system mail admin return e-mail saying unable to deliver for 4 hours. Basically saying hotmail.com is not responding. I have never had this problem on mac mail or outlook for the PC. Is this coincidence or does Outlook 2011 get the blame?

I have the latest MacBook Pro with Retina display with quad core. No attachments whether pdf, images, or documents will attach to any email program on any browser on the Maverick OS. This is a defect only with the MacBook Pro. My iMac quad core works great with attachments as would be expected.
Any answers as to why attachments fail to attach and gives the spinning beachball requiring a force quit. Eventually, I take the file on a memory stick to my iMac to attach it there on any browser with any email.

Why can't I attach a file to an email unless I export it to Word or Excel?
If I create a file in Pages, Numbers, or Keynote and save it to my documents, I can't attach that file to an email. It says the file cannot be attached. If I go back to the file and export to Word or Excel, It will attach to the email. How can I fix this?

I bought my Macbook Pro 13 inc, 500 GB, i5, OS X Lion, 2 days ago and this is my first Mac .I cant see my external disk (Philips), Samsung Galaxy S by using USB ports (i tried both USB enterances, but not working). I checked my Hardware by Apple Hardware Test (extended test done) and it says 'No trouble found'I checked Utilities and USB devices are not written in the list, only 500 GB SATA disk shown. I uploaded MacFuse-Tuxera and ntfs-3g-2010 softwares for using USB devices but i cant solve the problem too... My USB devices are not shown in desktop and utilities lists How can i solve this problem, my devices work in Windows 7 - PC as usual, but in Macbook Pro, they dont work, please support me. I dont think that it can be hardware problem, Mac is new and devices are ok. Operating systems are different only.

Now that I got my 24" LCD that apparently can't be pivot from landscape to portrait mode in OSX, I would like to at least be able to view two web pages side by side, since the 24" display is wide enough for this. Alas, I don't see a way of opening a second instance of Safari (the way you can do it with IE Explorer in Windows side).

This has been going on lately with my computer. When I attempt to attach or search for a file to upload online, the colorful wheel of death spins and my Safari does not respond. I have to force quit Safari. I am unable to attach or upload anything because of this. I can search the web fine and everything else is okay.

I've had my 13" macbook pro (early 2011) for 10 months now and it's always frozen fairly regulary like once a week, but recently i freezes multiple times a day and says all my alpications are not responding and won't let me force quit so my only option is to restart the computer everytime. It seems like the problem mostly occurs whilst browsing the internet, but i have reinstalled both firefox and chrome and still have the same problem.
Also I'd like to do a hardware check as my year warenty is almost up but pressing and holding 'd' on start up doesn't work - has this changed?

Can I merge multiple files, and multiple file types, into a single PDF with my MacBook Pro?, Can I merger multiple files, and multiple file types, into a single PDF with my MacBook Pro?
I need to combine word docs, .jpgs, .PDFs, .pptx files from multiple sources into a single PDF. In the past I've used software such as Nuance but I'm wondering if there's something in the MacBook Pro OS or applications that support this function.

I've done some work on Numbers and Pages (both 2008) on my MacBook. For some reason when I try to attach these documents to an email to send to my boss, they are grayed out so that I cannot click them and attach them. I've tried using my university's system as well as hotmail, ymail and gmail, so I assume it has something to do with recognition of the files. So far, I have tried to change the Numbers documents to .xls, but this does not solve my problem.
In this form, the properties ("Get Info") tell me that it is a Microsoft Excel document, but Numbers won't open it and in won't send via email. I have other .xls documents on my computer that I either received by email or downloaded, the icon on my desktop is different, Numbers reads it and they can be attached to emails. It seems that even though I change the .numbers files to .xls, there is still something missing for them to really be Excel files or at least sendable.

I have been having problems with my Safari and firefox. They both say they are up to date. When I use fire fox to look at Hotmail.com, it takes a while to load and when I try to open mail in new tabs, it opens a tab saying "javascript;;".
When I use safari to look at hotmail, it does an infinite loop and stays blank..the URL thingy just goes in loops. I mostly use fire fox, and some times when I go to type, I will get a 10 second delay before my text appears..
