OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Checked "This Computer Does Not Connect To Internet" During Setup

I had my hard drive switched out because the old one was going out. So while I was at work I set it up so I could start getting things together, but there was no internet connection available, so in my confused I accidently clicked "This Computer does not connect to the internet" without thinking. Not I can not get any of my internet apps dont work.I have looked through my settings but cant find anything. It does connect to my wifi, but wont get online.

Other macs on my network have no trouble connecting, just the macbook pro, so it's not the router or ISP. This laptop previously had no trouble connecting to the internet on this network. It continually says ISP failed (airport, airport status and network settings are all green). Laptop running 10.6.8. I tried turning Configure IPv6 off, no change.Â

My Mac Mini Server with 10.6.8 Snow Leopard Server doesn't connect to the Internet.It can connect to the router either via Ethernet or Airport, but it can not get an IP address -- it always assigns itself a random IP address which is not in the correct range for the router.All other devices, including PC, iPhone and iPad can work correctly with the router. When I manually typed in the router's IP in Safari, 192.168.0.1, I can see the router admin page. But typing in any external IP nothing shows up.Thinking it might be the router's problem, I used iPhone 4S' tethering tried wifi, USB, Bluetooth tethering and the Mac Mini still doesn't have any Internet connection.I changed the DNS in the Network preferences, trying Google's public DNS 8.8.8.8, my ISP's DNS, and empty DNS.

Is it possible to access the Internet using another computer connected to it. Reason be that we sometimes have only access to a UMTS network, and since we only have one stick it would be nice if the other computer in the network could surf over the one connected to the UMTS network.

How can I setup my iMac so I can connect to it's hard drive, files, etc over the internet? I'd like to connect to my iMac at home from my macbook while not at home. I'm familiar with connecting to my iMac from the "shared" section in the finder while i'm at home and in my home DSL network, but how would this work if I'm outside of my home DSL network?

I have a MBP 13", and I just got a magic mouse. Everything works fine, but every time I turn the mouse back on after turning it off, I have to manually connect my mouse to my laptop. Is there a way that the mouse can automatically connect to my computer, or do I have to "system preferences" it every time?

i'm trying to get the file size displayed in the finder.i can right click on an individual file to 'get info' and find the size, but can the size be displayed routinely in the finder? i tried to 'view options' but 'size' and 'calculate size' are greyed out and cannot be checked.

I can't connect to the internet on my mac for some reason. It comes up with a message saying the following- to view this page you must log in to this area on [URL]. Then it says i need to log in? Some people have tried to get me to delete some file but when I go to User- Library etc I am told to delete a google extension from searching the problem on Google. This doesnt work.

how I can set it up so that it would check my emails (IMAP) automatically. I've set the account up, it's sending/receiving mail, but I'm wondering if it has to run in the background to be able to check the mail. When I click Mail (at the top of the screen), and then Exit, it stops checking, correct?

I'm not completely sure how time machine works, can I use it to backup everything on my computer, including applications, bookmarks, system configurations. The reason I ask is I need to re install snow leopard because of something that went wrong during a bootcamp setup, and I'm thinking that re-installing the OS might work.

I don't know what happened, but a connection that I use frequently has suddenly stopped working on my 4-year-old MacBook (10.5.8). I have tried some of the fixes suggested for wireless connection problems, but none have worked. I live in a place where wireless is not always a viable option, so I need my Ethernet connection...

I have a used Macbook and would like to wipe the HD and re-install Snow Leopard to give as a gift. I would like the person receiving this computer to be able to start it up like a new computer and go through the start up with the music and having to enter names and password just like a new computer.Â
Is there any way i can do it (otherwise i will just erase the drive and give the disk with the computer for him to do himself)Â

I am staying in an RV park and there is WIFI available. To connect to the WIFI you need to agree to a splash screen. The WIFI connects and I can access the internet. Safari can access web pages including iCloud to view and send mail.
The mail program can not send or receive mail through my iCloud account. When I bring up connection doctor it says it has an internet connection but can not connect to the servers. The iCloud account is online. This problem has occured with other park wifi connections.
If I logoff the parks wifi and connect to my iPhone hotspot the mail program works and can send and receive mail.Â

I put snow leopard on my mac this afternoon and have been kicking the tires. I ran Parallels 4.0 and the windows worked just fine with my XP Partition. When I tried to boot it up in boot camp however, I got an error telling me it couldn't load windows.
I imagine this is an issue with the drivers, but I can't figure out where the drivers are and how to get them on the windows side.
When I open windows in parallels, I can't find any drivers to load on the DVD for snow leopard's boot camp.

I have a Macbook running Mac OS 10.4.11 which i believe is Tiger. I just purchased a refurb 2009 macmini which came with came with setup disc which includes snow leopard. Am I able to use that disc to install snow leopard on me macbook? If so how do i go about doing it.

I'm running OS 10.6.8, TextEdit v 1.6 (264) and find that documents created in TextEdit and saved with a custom scale (90% for example) and then closed always revert to 100% when opened the next time. The funny thing is when I close the document after changing the scale without saving it prompts me to save the changes, but even then it's not saved. So I'm thinking this behavior isn't normal, TextEdit knows it's supposed to be saving this but for whatever reason it's not. This is more in the category of a nuisance than a problem but I thought I'd post and see if anyone knows anything about this.Â

I reinstalled my OSX today. Everything was fine, but I think I erred when I removed the reinstall drive after I hit the restart button. The setup assistant was never prompted and now the screen is blank. How I can reinstall the OSX without logging in or get the setup assistant? I need to redo, and have no clue what to do.
