Applications :: Apple Mail Embedding Images Sent To Microsoft Outlook
Jul 21, 2008I am a graphic designer and i use apple mail as my main email application. When im sending photos to my project manager or clients, they are coming back to me stating that they can't save the images as separate files and that they are embedded in the email. I have 'send windows friendly files' checked as well... not only it does this to my jpg's, gifs, and pngs, it is doing this to my PSDS as well... Anybody have a solution or idea of how i can fix this problem? Should i just switch to another email application?

Dec 27, 2008I'm having some trouble embedding subtitles and converting the files into one single avi movie. I'm streaming the movies to my Xbox 360, so it has to be one single file, and avi (or MP4, i think that works too).
I've tried Submerge, but i keep getting an error when i try to export to avi.
It'll only convert into .mov, and it takes forever to convert the .mov file into .avi.

Apr 24, 2010I have been trying to embed a website in keynote so that I do not have to use the web browser during my presentation, I found a "tutorial" online, you can see the video here:

However as I try dragging the link (from the address bar or the favicon) to keynote, all I would get is a text back with the direct html address (if from address bar), or the the page's name, linked to the website, if I drag from the favicon.

Jun 27, 2014Just recently, my email recipients are getting my sent image embedded in the email so they can not download them. This is particular to jpegs and some zipped files. Mac OSX 10.9.3 I am using iMail. It also doesn't seem to matter of I send it from a POP or IMAP account. It is happening to both Mac and PC users.

Jan 30, 2010Is there a way to stop iTunes from embedding artwork into every file(track), and instead store 1 copy per album?
From what I remember thats the way cover flow used to work. Why the switch to embedding artwork in every file? A extra 20+MB per album is just ridiculous(Using a 800x800 PNG).
I know its possible to store the album artwork without embedding it in the file. Because I have a few older albums that still use the old method (storing only a single copy of the artwork in /iTunes/Album Artwork/).

Jul 19, 2009I've noticed that finder, automatically saves unnecessary spam images and mixes them in with my important images, is there someway of either adding a spam label, to them, so they end up in another folder, or completely stopping the saving process entirely?

May 6, 2008When I receive a jpg (not a jpeg) from a mac via email it wont open in either outlook or picture viewer etc (win xp). But if the same image is sent to any other PC (from the ma user) it opens OK.The added twist. If another pc user opens (which it does with no issues) then closes and sends back to the failing pc it opens with no issues!

When I try and open a file from InDesign from the finder (double click in a folder), InDesign will freeze up and I have to do a Force Quit to close it. Unfortunately, this problem is intermittent and doesn't happen all the time, but probably once a day.

Oct 3, 2010My version of InDesign CS4, will always crash after sleeping, especially when I have files open from a server volume. I've turned off the sleep hard disks when possible option in sys prefs.
Here is the interesting part of the crash log:

Apr 12, 2012I use Adobe CS4 regularly. I could print fine from all apps in CS4 until yesterday when I tried to print from InDesign CS4 and the app crashed. All other apps in CS4 print fine, as do all other apps. I've attempted to create a new print preset and also tried to edit the printer default, but InDesign crashes every time.
The only things I've done differently (or new) was to test a new antivirus app (Anti-Virus Software for Mac Protection | Kaspersky Lab United States) and also to download and try out the new Firefox 11. I also created a couple of pdf files in InDesign (as I've done dozens of times with no problems).

Applications :: Odd Printing Glitch When Trying To Print PDF Exported From InDesign
Aug 24, 2010Does anyone have any idea what might be going on in the attached image below? This is how a PDF file exported from InDesign is printing. It is not displaying like this at all on the screen. The frame around the photo is an EPS file layered on top of the photo. It views fine, and prints fine except for 2 photos.
All the photos print fine, except for 2 of them which have these odd triangles on them. The image is a scan of the printed file. Again, it does not appear when I view the PDF on screen, only when it's printed. If I remove the border/EPS, it will print fine. But I'd like to use the border, so I'd like to know what the problem is.

I have heard of a program called Swift Publisher, but that does not seem to suit my needs fully. Pages also seems to be a tad too simple for what I intend it to be. Oct 23, 2009Ever since our design studio upgraded to InDesign CS4, some of our machines are now VERY slow to open documents (it takes documents approx. 7�13 times longer to open). Also, just using InDesign seems much slower than CS3 (like dragging things, typing, etc.).
The funny thing is this problem only seems to affect our designers who have PowerPC G5 Macs � not the ones with Intel Macs. I realise CS4 will be optimised for Intel machines, but surely it shouldn't be this much slower on G5s?
