My mac with the full version is in the shop and I need to do some work on a project done in InDesign CS3 on another Mac. I'm not having any luck finding a trial version of it anywhere.

I know about the whole not needing a serial number now however it is asking me for one since the install on all three applications. I removed the trial and all evidence of it and restarted my macbook before installing the box.

My version of InDesign CS4, will always crash after sleeping, especially when I have files open from a server volume. I've turned off the sleep hard disks when possible option in sys prefs.
Here is the interesting part of the crash log:

Is there a way in Indesign to have a gradient fade to 0%? I can't figure out how to do it. I could do it in Photoshop i guess, but there should be a way to do it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have any idea what might be going on in the attached image below? This is how a PDF file exported from InDesign is printing. It is not displaying like this at all on the screen. The frame around the photo is an EPS file layered on top of the photo. It views fine, and prints fine except for 2 photos.
All the photos print fine, except for 2 of them which have these odd triangles on them. The image is a scan of the printed file. Again, it does not appear when I view the PDF on screen, only when it's printed. If I remove the border/EPS, it will print fine. But I'd like to use the border, so I'd like to know what the problem is.
if there was another program available for mac that preformed a similar function to that of Adobe Indesign CS3? I have heard of a program called Swift Publisher, but that does not seem to suit my needs fully. Pages also seems to be a tad too simple for what I intend it to be. So, to restate, is there a program which performs a similar function to that of Adobe Indesign?
View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since our design studio upgraded to InDesign CS4, some of our machines are now VERY slow to open documents (it takes documents approx. 7�13 times longer to open). Also, just using InDesign seems much slower than CS3 (like dragging things, typing, etc.).
The funny thing is this problem only seems to affect our designers who have PowerPC G5 Macs � not the ones with Intel Macs. I realise CS4 will be optimised for Intel machines, but surely it shouldn't be this much slower on G5s?
I thought I saw somewhere that there is a trial of Office 2011. I can't seem to find it anywhere. anyone know where I can get a trial? I want to play with the OUtlook vs. using the web access that I have now before I commit to $180
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded Photoshop CS4 trial and created an image. I am trying to print it but the selection is grey'd out. If I open an image from my HD it will allow me to select print, but not from something I have created in the trial. Is it as obvious as just being the fact that it is a trial or am I missing something here. I have tried saving it as a .tif and a .psd as those are a couple of the very few saving options available.

I get on the site and chose the application I want and click download and then it asks me to log in. I do this but then it grays perpetually has a status circle and won't download. I have tried multiple computer (including Macs and PCs) and nothing will seem to download it. I have even looked for the file on a different site but everything redirects to the Adobe page for downloading.

This is my 2nd time reinstalling my mac in a few days and the 1st time I did I googled it and found a link to download it. Now when I search google it's not there anymore and I don't know what my exact keywords that I used to find the links were. I have iWork 09 as well but I need '08 to convert my keynotes to be compatible with the '05 version (school uses that.). It's quite stupid that Keynote 09 can only save to be compatible with 08 but not 06 or 05.

I have tried removing it as well as reference to it in receipts and library-preferences, but when I reinstall I get the same message. I downloaded another trial code, but it still tells me that it is expired. Where does mac store this information, or what other file do i need to remove to actually use to 30 day trial.

I was wondering if there was a quicker way to customize the dictionary than telling the spell check to learn the words as I go. EG add one huge text file to the dictionary with all the words or something.
So I used the iWork '09 trial for 30 days now and now I have a box version and I want to simply use the buy function from the trial to upgrade to the full non-trial version. It has: Quote: If you've purchased an iWork '09 box, you'll find the serial number on the Installing iWork '09 booklet. There's only one problem, there's no serial number on the booklet! How do I install using the buy function or do I have to install the full iWork suite again on my computer? Seems kind of silly. If so, do I need to then uninstalling one of my versions of iWork '09? And if so, which one? How do I tell the difference at that point?
Some of you might be wondering and about to comment on the fact that I should have just bought the online version and saved the hassle. The reason why I bought the box is because I could get it for $39 at my girlfriend's campus computer store.
I would like to know how to embed images onto indesign on cs2 I dont know how to do this at the moment and it is really important.
