I have followed all directions from the "help" menu. It is there under signatures but not linked to the email server that I use, nor will it allow me to add anything. In the email the pop up menu allows me to edit the signature, but not to ad it to the email.

The default signature in outgoing messages from iCloud is "sent from iCloud". I can change that on a new email but that will work only once; in the next email the signagture is again "sent from iCloud". Is it possible to create a new default signatute? I used bootcamp to create a partition for installing Windows.
Everything worked fine and I still see the Windows partition on Mac OS.
But when I used Disk Management on the Windows and split its partition to 2 new partitions (C: and D: on Windows), they didn't show up on the Mac OS. The Mac OS still showed the Windows partition as one (which is created by bootcamp), not two.
I'm using Vista Ultimate with and Mac OS X 10.5.2.
I am using Mail 4.5 and I am experiencing a difficulty when I am trying to create a signature adding the logo in jpeg or pdf file and send it. The recipient if is not using Mac Mail receives the signature always as an attachment. I am using rich text format message since there is no html in Mac and I drag and drop the jpg to the signature creation window. I have also activated Send Windows -Friendly attachmend but the recipient keeps receiving the logo as attached and not inline.

- When in Mail, using the "Add to contacts" feature switches to the Address Book, but does not create the contact.
- Contacts created on iCloud.com successfully download and appear on the Mac.
- Attempts to create a contact on the Mac never appear on iCloud.com.
- I tried logging out of iCloud and/or disabling the account, but the issue seems to be local.
- I tried deleting his AddressBook.plist preference file with no effect.
He is using a Macbook Air with OS X Yosemite up to date. He first got his Mac with Mavericks (I think) and was never able to use Contacts on his Mac because of this issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Bootcamp trying to install the Windows 7 and it went alright until rebooting and starting to install procedure. The computer cannot read my flash drive and finally ended up with installing failure. Then I tried rebooting several times and suddenly the bootcamp partition (with nothing in it actually) cannot be read.
I came back to OS X and tried to delete the bootcamp partition but after a while failed. Then I cannot see the Bootcamp Partition in Finder. In disk utility it became "Free Space (I'm using Chinese system and it shows "可用空间“ in both name and format)."
Cannot be deleted through the minus button, cannot be formatted, and all the options are grey (cannot be clicked)
In recovery mode (command + R) it remained the same.
I can normally use the other partition in Mac OS X.
How can I delete the unusable partition and regain the space? To combine the two partitions back together is the best choice but HOW?

I created a new account on my iMac so that she can use my iMac. I deactivated her email account in Mail in my account and activated it in Mail in her account. (Using 10.5.7 and Mail 3.6). She can send mail but not receive mail. If she sends me an email from her account, I can get it when I log in to Mail in my account. However, when I send an email to her, it is sent - but nothing shows up when Check Mail is clicked on her Mail. (If I reactivate her account in my Mail and click Check Mail, I can receive the messages that should have been sent to her account - but I don't want this to happen!).

It works perfectly when I click on "Run" within Automator. My my new service shows up in the System Preferences/Keyboard Shortcuts/Services and I was able to give it a Keyboard Shortcut. However, it does not show up in any menu,ie, Finder/Services.

Since I upgraded to Yosemite my Mail has gone amok. Emails show up directly in Archive, instead of for instance Inbox or Sent. Some sent emails don't show up in any mailbox at all, but apparently they reach the recipient.
How can I delete the Archive mailbox? It works totally different than how it is described in manuals. I have NEVER moved any email to Archive, but it is full of all sorts of emails from all the other mailboxes. I want ALL my received emails in the Inbox and my sent emails in the Sent box.

For some times now I have problems with finder. First I thought it was a problem accessing the network but I also have the problem with the local folders!!
After logging to my account, it works well for some times and then suddenly (may be after accessing machine on my network - Synology NAS) finder begin to show all folders as they are empty!!!
The funny thing is that if for instance I do a "file/open" within an app or do an attachment and so access a "windows like finder" it works!!
But if I use the finder ... folders are empty (shown as ...).
The only thing to get everything back is to restart the computer (and many times I have to hard stop the machine as the finder is not working anymore and my mac mini don't want to restart. I keep the desktop background and nothing happened!!
The strange thing is that it seems I don't have the problem on my MacBook Pro!! The mac mini was a clean install!

Is this for security reason and how can i solve this phenomenon? Sometimes the picture/photo opens in an other window with the righthand click, but not always. Another problem is: when i copy a photo and past it in my mail or other document, i get the url, but not the picture itself.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOSX's Mail.app used to display the actual colored flag in the (classic layout) viewer's flag column; visible and compact. I've noticed recently (since the iOSemite update?) that it displays the words (Red/Orange/ etc.) instead. With a narrow column that used to accommodate the flags, this now shows "R…/O…/ etc. instead. Since my Mail window is only a 1/2 screen wide, there is simply no room for an inch-wide column.
Is there a way to make Mail show the actual flags in that column, rather than the verbose names of the flags?
If not, I can of course rename the flags into a single-character name, so it fits
