Jun 26, 2014I am using Apple Mail on my Mid 2010 iMac (27", 3.6 GHz i5, 12 Gig RAM, 10.8.5)Â and have recently run into a bit of strangeness. I shut down the iMac every evening, without shutting down Mail. Mail opens on startup, as expected. However, my list of emails is not current, with the latest email from about 1AM that morning. I know this is the case because I see many more recent emails on my iPhone. When I quit Mail and restart it, all the emails show up. How I can get Mail back to its old behavior, namely showing me all emails in my inbox on startup? Â

Apr 18, 2012Gmail is my default email client. I'm trying to send an email blast to my groups in address book. When I right click on a group, and click "send to...", none of the email address show up in the TO field, only the name of the Group appears.Previously, I used mac mail and clicking "send to" group would result in all email addresses going right where they're supposed to go.I don't know how I changed the client to Gmail, but if I can't get it to work, I'd like to switch it back.

when I tab the new e-mail icon it only checks for a 1/10 of a second not enough time to check server  so i shut down e-mail restart and finds new email

Jul 1, 2014I am running Time Machine under Mavericks. When I looked at my Time Machine Backup files, I could not find the mail boxes in the appropriate Application support folder. It should be under Library/Application Support/Postbox/Profiles.I am also running Carbonite and have my POP mail accts getting backed up. I should have my email set up as a IMAP. I tried to go that route and after three weeks of dealing with my provider (and level 3 support) they informed me they could set it up for me for another $50. Â

What would you like to do? #1 option Merge data on this computer{MBP} & Yahoo!#2 option Replace data on this computer! I went in my MBP hard drive and deleted sync entries for Yahoo about 3-4 times-they just keep appearing after I get the "ALERT" notification every few hours.Check my Yahoo acct and there is no Alert listed.This I know is a big PAIN.SUGGESTIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
