How can I reinstall or uninstall the last update? I upgraded to Yosemite this summer/fall and after the last update my finder won't work and other apps crash. I just want my computer to work again! I'm in the middle of a project......

I do not think my 10.5.7 updated correctly. I have a unibody. When I click on my battery icon it does not show the different profiles. I updated my brothers MBP (Santa Rosa) and he DOES have the profiles in the task bar. The main problem here is that his installed with no problems. MINE, on the other hand, was installing, it freaked out, and I had to force restart it. When it restarted, I had 10.5.7. Is there a way to kind of uninstall it and then reinstall it?

Have 2006 Macbook pro. Came with tiger 10.4.8 and the disks. Worked fine. Then bought a retail DVD of Leopard 10.5.6 installed it , of course I selected install and erase and then lost my ilife and my mind. For three days and nights I have tried to fix this, and I am not a Mac whiz. Tried reinstalling Tiger, pwr up, while pushing C ,d, and T .No go. Says drive won't accept it Tried erasing the Hard drive with disk utility. Won't let me. Tried re-partitioning. No go. Changed everything on the disk utility there. no go Finally I just re-booted with Leopard (works but still no ilife) and got on this Forum.

I downloaded it to my Mac (years ago!).. The Cover Flow option refuses to work with me, as rather than showing cover art for each album, it shows it for each song. After then parade to Yosemite I ran into hard drive issues and my 2012 iMac will no longer boot but I ca boot to Internet Recovery. My latest plan was to do an OS reinstall to an external drive then try to recover items w/ target drive. In any case, when I choose reinstall OSX, it tells me I have to verify with Apple...OK...then continue....then it says select a drive to install OSX on but gives me no selection option? Just a blank white line? Both drives (internal and external) show up and can be accessed via disk utilities. Â

The first time I had to print something on my MacBook Pro, I was surprised that it was effortless. The printer was automatically recognized and my print job went without a hitch. The next time I used Software Update I got a driver update for the HP Laserjet 3200. I thought, wow, these guys are really on the ball.
I just used the printer one time and they already know I need the updated driver. But the new driver's screwed everything up and instead of getting the perfect print job I got before, the printer just starts throwing out blank pages. Is there any way to un-install this one software update of this one driver? It arrived by itself, nothing else with it, and it's in my list of updates specifically referencing the HP Laserjet 3200.

I've been having some issues with Mail (long story- anything after an image or an attachment in a message I create is showing up as a .htm or .txt file) and one suggestion that someone made was to download the 10.6.2 combo update and try to reinstall it to ensure that everything is all up to snuff.
Strangely, when I DL'd the combo update and tried to run it, my hard drive showed up with an exclamation mark and said I couldn't install it. Can one typically install the update on itself?
Also, is there any chance in heck that it will actually make a difference (friendly wagers here are fine, as I don't expect anyone to know for sure)?
After downloading Yosemite I tried to start up dictation for the first time and that enhanced dictation update window pops up. But it will never do anything. It just sits there stuck on 0 bytes.

I bought "OS X Server" back in October of this year. It did not show up in updates on the App Store's update page but the OS X server claimed there was an update. I am running OS X 10.10.1 (Build 14B25) on an old mid-2008 iMac.Â
When I explicitly go to the "OS X Server" page of the App Store it shows an update as being available. When I try to update it says it will stop all OS X Server services and then hangs. Note: I am running Little Snitch but disable it for this update.Â
I have tried this multiple times with OS X Server opened and closed but after several weeks I still cannot update it. I would be willing to uninstall OS X Server and then try reinstalling it if I knew how. Dealing previously with Apple on an non-updating App Store APP was extremely frustrating and did not get the issue resolved. I DID not need OS X Server on my system and I am not using it to manage other computers on my home network.Â
