Ever since I updated my iphone to OS4 it has become quite slow. I've heard other people with the same problems. Sounds like the 3G can't handle the new software.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI do not think my 10.5.7 updated correctly. I have a unibody. When I click on my battery icon it does not show the different profiles. I updated my brothers MBP (Santa Rosa) and he DOES have the profiles in the task bar. The main problem here is that his installed with no problems. MINE, on the other hand, was installing, it freaked out, and I had to force restart it. When it restarted, I had 10.5.7. Is there a way to kind of uninstall it and then reinstall it?

Have 2006 Macbook pro. Came with tiger 10.4.8 and the disks. Worked fine. Then bought a retail DVD of Leopard 10.5.6 installed it , of course I selected install and erase and then lost my ilife and my mind. For three days and nights I have tried to fix this, and I am not a Mac whiz. Tried reinstalling Tiger, pwr up, while pushing C ,d, and T .No go. Says drive won't accept it Tried erasing the Hard drive with disk utility. Won't let me. Tried re-partitioning. No go. Changed everything on the disk utility there. no go Finally I just re-booted with Leopard (works but still no ilife) and got on this Forum.

My external is getting pretty full and was trying to delete some previous backups. I put them in the trash and each time I try to delete them I get error code 8003. I tried using Trash it! but after 12 hours of letting it run nothing was removed.
Any ideas of how to empty it?

I am using a macbook pro, and before I formatted my laptop, I could switch between two windows by using control + left/right arrow. Whenever I used that command, something like the picture below would appear in the screen, and all the windows moved to the left, or right, and a fresh desktop screen would appear. I could switch the desktops with different set of applications running in both of them.
I searched for it, and according to some wikipedia topic about shortcut keys, control + left/right arrow is only available in leopard. But I could use it in Snow Leopard as well. how to enable the command again.

Is it possible to restore a previous point release? If yes, how easy will it be and how to do the restore? My MBP is on 10.6.4 now, and I'd like to try 10.6.5 in the next few days. If it doesn't work well with some of my apps, I'd like to restore.
I've been having problems with my backup. The last few times I've tried to backup my computer it's saying that the backup is too large for the backup volume. The reason for this is not because the disk is too small but because it's not recognising that there is already backup-ed info on that disk and not integrating with that. Up to about two weeks ago my computer was backing up grand and in the space of two days it stopped allowing me to back up due to this error. I don't want to delete the old stuff as it kind of defeats the purpose of the backup to do so.

Basically, the Mac Mini was running 10.4 Tiger. I inserted the MacBook's 10.5 Leopard HD into my Mac Mini, turned on the Mini to begin a fresh install of Tiger to my surprise the Mini was running Leopard. I had expected an error message.
