I just installed Aperture 3.6 in Yosemite on my new Mac - after the installation I agreed to use one library for iPhoto and Aperture - next the installation appears to have imported over 3000 program / Resource images and stored them in my Iphoto librarys and projects and in Aperture? The images look like thumbnails to low resolution clip art and some date back to 2006.

The "App store" is telling me there is an update for my "Aperture" software, however when I try to download it this message appears "The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."

Just installed Mavericks and it then updated iPhoto and then iPhoto updated its library. Now Aperture 3.4.5 will not run since it can't read the updated iPhoto library. My Aperture was purchased from Apple and was on a DVD install disk and not from the App Store. How do I update my Aperture now? Doesn't seem right to pay another $80 for it when it is being dropped in the near future.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an old version of Aperture (3.1.2) that no longer works on my mac following my update to OSX (10.9.4). I would like to update my Aperture version so that its compatible with OSX but am unable to do so. All the aperture downloads tell me I have to update through the App Store but the App Store does not recognize that I have a valid, if outdated, version of Aperture on my computer and wants me to buy the software again. Is there a way to update Aperture (for free) and keep my library of photos?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a late 2009 MacPro 27". I just updated to Yosemite and found out that my current version of Aperture (3.4.3) will not work with with OX 10. When I go to the app store to update Aperture, i get a message stating: "Update unavailable with this Apple ID."
I never changed my Apple ID and don't understand why I am getting this message.

I was unable to download the latest Aperture update because I do not have OS 10.7. I want to delete the red App Store reminder. I tried to do this using the "reset all warnings" button in My Account/Settings but it has not worked, even after a restart. (other than taking the App Store icon, and the annoying reminder, out of the dock, which I have done)?

I haven't been able to get Aperture 3 to work with any GPS log file. And I mean anything. Not CSV, KMZ, NMEA or GPX files. Either they are not read at all, or they are read halfway and crash the program. I'm using a Columbus V-900 which produces weird CSV files, but seem to export fine using TimeAlbum to basically any format I want. Maybe a software update soon to make this feature work better?

I downloaded Lion from the Apple store, but have my Snow Leopard disk. How do I go about re-installing Mail?

I bought "OS X Server" back in October of this year. It did not show up in updates on the App Store's update page but the OS X server claimed there was an update. I am running OS X 10.10.1 (Build 14B25) on an old mid-2008 iMac.
When I explicitly go to the "OS X Server" page of the App Store it shows an update as being available. When I try to update it says it will stop all OS X Server services and then hangs. Note: I am running Little Snitch but disable it for this update.
I have tried this multiple times with OS X Server opened and closed but after several weeks I still cannot update it. I would be willing to uninstall OS X Server and then try reinstalling it if I knew how. Dealing previously with Apple on an non-updating App Store APP was extremely frustrating and did not get the issue resolved. I DID not need OS X Server on my system and I am not using it to manage other computers on my home network.

I made the update from OSX Mavericks to Yosemite. Was running fine until my computer ran out of battery. I plugged it in and try to turn it on, since then it stopped working.
Now, when I turn it on, the apple logo with the loading bar underneath appears, and halfway through the download, the computer shuts down on its own.

My Macbook (2012) has been running incredibly slow since I updated to Yosemite. My apps keep crashing, including safari and chrome and I'm sending about 5 reports a day to Apple whenever they crash.
Chrome crashed while I was writing this - it happens routinely.
But my biggest concern is that when I restart my computer, the login screen looks like this:
It says "update needed" where it should have my name and image.
I've found a few solutions on here about turning off the firevault and trying to restart the computer again, but this image was taken on my restart try after made that change. I do know that it says I still have a mavericks update available. I'm not sure how that happened because I updated everything before I moved to Yosemite, but my apps store still says I have an update for Mavericks 10.9.5...

I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10 and only now am I having issues with updating iPhoto and iMovie. A family member set up my computer years ago but I prefer to update with my own ID incase there are ever costs involved, so it goes to my account.
Is there a way I can update with my own account or do I need to re-download the app? But then would I lose my photos? I can't open iPhoto at all and it's getting frustrating as I need to access them NOW!

Have noticed this recently, mainly since the 10.10.1 update.
It's a 2.66 Intel C2D with 8 gigs of OWC RAM and a 240GB Crucial SSD
I work mainly from home and have it at my desk. It's hooked up to an Apple Cinema HD Display 23"
All updates done to software, permissions repaired, PRAM flashed, etc
Turned down the transparency, turned off some items in spotlight search, still no change
