OS X :: Can't Plug In Any USB Flash Memory
Mar 23, 2009When I plug in a USB Flash Memory, it instantly pop up a message that says I need to restart my computer, by letting the power button presed for a while or pressing the restart button (Which I dont have). It has a 0/1 button-like image on it.
At first I thought my USB had a virus or some corrupt file, but when I realized there were no mac files (Just Windows and universal), I pluged in another USB, and the same thing happened.

Apr 23, 2010I go on Justin.tv all the time to watch the Office and when I do I don't notice any lag but recently I have occasionally. I checked activity monitor and it says the Flash Plug in is at around ~45% CPU. Why does it hog so much CPU? How can I change this? Is this normal for flash?? I thought my MBP would be able to handle this..

Jun 1, 2010I have an i5 27" iMac and was curious why VMWare Fusion with Windows 7 was running so slowly. My iMac works at a snails pace when I try to run VMWare Fusion and anything else at the same time. I thought it might be a memory issue. I have 2 gb of RAM allocated to the virtual machine and 2 gb for Mac OSX. I was looking at the activity monitor and noticed that the Flash Player (DashboardClient Internet plug in) was taking up almost 600 mb of memory. What is the flash player that takes up so much RAM? Do I need to have it running? The other big program I am using that is taking up alot of RAM is PS3 media server which is taking up almost 500 mb of RAM.

May 11, 2012Just upgraded to Lion 10.7.4, then the video stopped playing in Safari. Upgraded Safari, then installed the latest Flash player, V. 11.2.202.235. Also have the latest graphic card drivers. I am beginning to remember the nightmares we used to have when we upgraded Windows. I don't want to change anything any more. Apple is beginning to suck. I only went to Lion because Apple forced me because of iCloud. MANY REGRETS NOW.
I was going to upgrade my wife's laptop tomorrow. Now I won't until someone helps me fix my computer. MacPro 2008. HOW DO I FIX THIS?

Apr 21, 2010So macrumors peeps, as the title reads, whenever i open a web browser and go to either espn or youtube or anything that flash associates itself with, the windows hangs or freezes and the beachball cursor comes up forcing me to force quit. I am currently using a Macbook 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.3 and Safari 4.0.5. Also i have restarted my macbook, updated it completely, tried reinstalling Adobe Flash Plug-in, done the disk utility repair disk (even though idk if i did it right) and i have been surfing the web for two days to find a solution.

Jun 5, 2012It's been sometime since I last synced my iPhone with iTunes, relying on WiFi backup instead. The problem I have, is that everytime I sync my iPhone with iTunes, iTunes re-orders my apps and installs apps that I've previously downloaded but have since deleted/uninstalled.
When I open iTunes and preview 'Lewis' iPhone 4' under the Apps tab when viewing my device I can see the representation of an organised iPhone homescreen that is nothing like my own (maybe how it used to be many months ago though). I know that if I hit sync, that is what I'll see not what I had!
What's interesting is that if I uncheck 'Sync Apps', what is shown (although faded) is how my iphone is actually organised. When checking 'Sync Apps', all changes to show me a chaotic and fundamentally different arrangement.
It seems to me that my sync is out of sync!

I used finder to search my computer, and I cannot find this file. PlugIn Path: /Users/<myname>/Library/Application Support/.MasterofDefense.tmpPlugIn Identifier: .MasterofDefense.tmpPlugIn Version: ??? (???) The file is NOT in that location mentioned in the crash log. According to web searches, MasterofDefense is some game, but I have never installed any games on my machine.

MacBook Pro :: Won't Use The Iphone's Audio Plug As External Plug
Jun 12, 2010I was wondering if there was a way to use the iPhone's audio jack as an external jack for the macbook pro via USB or so, as i own the 13 inch model, that only offers one jack.
I want to use garage band just trying out a bit and i'd need an extra jack for the headphones, otherwise the microphone will record what's played over the internal speakers.
EDIT: I forgot to say that I already tried things like AirPhones, meaning wireless stream to iphone. But there's unfortunately few moments of latency, so i hardly can use it for recording.

Feb 9, 2010watch Youtube vids using H.264 MP4 codec instead of flash. As most of the videos I watch are recent uploads (last year or so) they have SQ and HQ H.264 version available. As Flash eats up system resources worse then anything I can think of at the moment, I am trying to find a way to force the videos to play in MP4 format. I know ClicktoFlash has this option for Safari, but I am trying to find out if there are any other ways to do this without user input (for playlists). I use YousableTubeFixURL for Chrome and Firefox which has the option to do this, but no matter what option I choose, it always plays using Flash. I know FF doesnt have a built in MP4 player, but I though I heard of a way to get VLC or Quicktime to play it.

Feb 8, 2010I have upgraded from a OX 2.8 to 3.9. I now have to use two browsers to use the internet. Safari to have access to my yahoo mail account, and fire fox 2.020 to load information on my business website.
I have not been able to use shockwave flash or flash player on the up load. When I was using OSX 2.8 I could add pictures to my business website and etc., I had no problem viewing the slide show I had on my website, other than the system was a little slow. I have an ibook G3 128 +512 ram, total. 900 mhz, 12. inches and white case. The systems requirements indicate that I need to upgrade to tiger OSX 4.0
I know there are some issues using Fire Fox with OSX 3.9. When ever I tried to access my yahoo mail from Fire fox, the system would crash.
Other than getting a new laptop, any suggestions? I tried to down load Shock wave from the old apps web site called Camino. I get an error message that the plug in cannot be loaded sussfully I have tried load flash Player 7.09, but get a message that it can not load. Could this be because of not enough space on the drive. Maybe I am not loading it correctly. Shouldn't I be able to click it to install it in the right place without having to try the different files.

Mac Mini :: Can I Plug Into My HDTV
Jan 2, 2009I'm really hoping for an update to the Mini at Macworld. With a new mini, I'd love the ability to connect it to my 36" HDTV and connect wirelessly with a keyboard and mouse from my couch. I would love to be able to use the Mac from the comfort of my living room for both work and pleasure. (I'm a bit of a gamer as well)
So my question is, is this a pipe dream?
Will the new Minis support an output to a HDTV? (Or for that matter, do the current minis?)
How far is the range for a standard bluetooth mouse & keyboard? Would it be possible to put the keyboard and mouse on my coffee table (about 6-8' from the TV)?
And most importantly, if this is all possible, will this make me the ultimate couch potato, and will I ever see daylight again?

however it seems there is only one FireWire port on the back of the Mac Pro,

Apr 28, 2010Just seen that Maps, by Google, is offering an 'Earth View' I downloaded the plug in but am having trouble installing it. I have the .dmg file which when i open shows me the plug in as a sort of Lego brick and states I must double click to install. So i double click. Nothing appears to happen, but i assume it has and go back to Google Maps which tells me i still need the plug in! Please tell me how to manually install plug ins or what could be wrong with my poor mac.
