When scrolling through a project, it is not very smooth. If I scroll to the right, it will go to the right, then kinda fling back a bit. So scrolling is very jerky if you understand what I mean?

I came home and found an eMac on my back porch, came from my moms friend apparently. so i plugged it in and turned it on and i was playing on it for a while but safari would just repeatedly crash after loading the home page, so i restarted it and it seemed to fix the problem, me and my friend then took the casing off and replaced the cd drive because it was jammed. it started up just fine after that but after the next restart the screen seemed to be "shaking". it was jumping left to right. so i powered it off and started it up again. this time it did the same thing but it was more vigorous and the screen was flashing from normal to a dark purple tint. then it went really dark purple, the screen shut off, then the whole computer shut itself off. now only after leaving it unplugged for at least 30 seconds the first or second push of the power button will "twitch" the fan and the CRT sounds like its trying to come on, but i only get the CRT sound and the fan maybe doing at most a quarter turn before it stops. the only changes made was a new cd drive and a second RAM card. i tried it by pulling out the added ram card and still nothing. then tried with the cd drive IDE cable removed and still nothing.

It makes this noise while it's copying. If i press slightly on the body it makes all sorts of crazy noises. WTF?
View 3 Replies View Related- When I clean the screen with the included cloth or any cleaning cloth, the screen makes a clicking noise. As if it's like not flushed against the bezel. This only happens on the left part of the screen from, top to bottom. If I wipe in the center, no problem at all. I was wondering if anyone of you is experiencing the same problem? Btw, I also have the lines, but its very faint and I don't notice it as much as the my 3rd replacement Air, which I exchanged for this one. The Apple Store said that if I had any more line problems with this one, they won't replace it anymore and they would just try and replace the screen. I don't know if my problem is a common one and worth it to send my computer out to get its screen replaced, and who knows, maybe the replacement screen might have the lines and that's why I'm worried about getting the screen replaced, in addition to being out of my laptop for a couple of days.

I just hooked up a 2nd monitor to my early '08 Mac Pro and when in OSX the screens start to go blank/blue for about 1 second intervals. They flash together sometimes, and other times sort of independantly to each other. When the desktop comes back on it fades in like its animated rather than like its cutting in and out.
It seems fine when I disconnect one monitor.Running 10.5.2 all updates 8 core 2.8ghz with 10gb ram and 8800GT
editing with FCPX. I imported the footage through Image Capture like I did when using iMovie. I then imported the footage from my desktop into FCP. When it's just showing the thumbnails, it looks bright, like it did on camera. But when I scrub through it, or play the video, it appears very dark. Almost like it's with a filter. I tried to mess around with the buttons near the view screen, but they didn't do anything. Is this a settings problem or a FCP problem, and how do I fix it?

I have a 2008 MBPro 15" As of the last few days, the bottom 3/4 of my screen is separated from the top 1/4 by a black or white (changes) row of pixels, and the bottom 3/4 of the screen shakes up and down a bit. It started a month ago, one afternoon, but it resolved itself after a few minutes. Now it does it continuously. Shutting down and restarting does not work.
It seems to do this less when a webpage is loading, but as soon as it's loading, it starts up again. The top 1/4 remains normal.

I realised that when streaming BBC News from: [URL] . I my Macbook Air Late 2010 the image flicks. I updated all software (both mac os and flash player). Then, I went to the local Apple Store and same problem in every single machine. Though everything is fine in my girlfriend's Macbook Pro 13 inch!

What harm could be caused when slamming hands or fists against the table ur macbook pro is sitting on. Can the tremors/rumble cause any internal harm? Like loosening of hardware pieces or anything?

When I wake my computer half the time I do not have a cursor. Is anyone else having this issue?
Sometimes when I open apps and shake my mouse it comes back. I also usually use expose to start my screen saver and then shake the mouse to turn it off.

First of all, Noob imac owner here. I was just handed down an old imac g3 400mhz desktop that doesn't power at all.When hitting the power button on the unit or keyboard, the units screen makes a noise. No hard drive or green light comes on at all. At dead silence in the room, i can hear the screen flicker, like a tv would come on. I went to go about and read a few problems before, replaced the battery and even tried a new power cord. Any Ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my 13" MacBook Pro, the hinge makes a cracking noise on the right side of the computer (near the power button) when the screen is positioned all the way back.The entire hinge also makes a loud popping noise when I adjust the screen position. The screen seems very tight, and it takes a little bit of effort to move the screen, and when the screen is moved it makes the loud popping noise.
This is probably going to make some of you guys cringe, but sometimes putting pressure down on the top of the case close to where the black hinge meets to unibody enclosure seems to stop the popping noises. Putting downwards pressure on the hinge, or flipping the computer over and putting pressure on it that way, also seems to alter how much popping noise there is.
If I mess around a bit with applying pressure on different parts of the computer around the hinge, I can usually eliminate the noise. But, the cracking noise when I put the screen all the way back is still there.Any ideas what to do? It's not interfering with the operation of the computer, it's just incredibly annoying and this is only a four month old machine which shouldn't be creaking and cracking already.
I'm having an issue scrolling in all programs). Running 10.6.5, Late 2008 MBP (not uni-body). This happens when using two finger scroll or dragging the scroll bar down and up. Click (jump) to scroll is still fine.
It takes about 5-7 seconds to scroll down at all, it's like a little ripple slowly works its way down the screen. I tried shutting down programs, restarting, etc.
EDIT: Ok the click to scroll is now slow also. What gives?

So basically two finger scolling in iTunes is now scrolling to the bottom right while in -as far as I can see- the other applications scroll properly (=down). Anybody else experiencing this particular issue?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI use MBP (2,6G, 4Gb DDR2, Leopard 10.5.5), and I want to disable horizontal scrolling because it become annoying when I'm working with spreadsheet (always move right or left by it self....really annoying ). When I used Powerbook (1,5G, 1,25Gb DDR2, Tiger 10.4.11) there is an option to disable / enable this feature..it's great. But with this MBP and Leopard 10.5.5 there is no option for horizontal scrolling.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way here on the mac to just select one image file, have it blow up to full screen, and the just use the arrow keys to scroll through them like you can on windows? it is just a pain to have to select all of them, open it in preview, and them move around them that way.
