OS X :: Music Skips On Bluetooth Headphone (Modem Connected)
Feb 12, 2010
With the modem I am currently using, I connect it VA bluetooth to my macbook pro. Now, when I try to listen to music with my bluetooth headphones at the same time I am using my modem the music from my headphones skips quite a bit. If I shut off my modem, I can play music 100% fine to my headphones - without skips. Is it possible to be using my modem and playing music to my bluetooth headphones without my headphones skipping the music?
After upgrading to Itunes 10 my music skips. It appears to be the older items. All music is either downloaded from iTunes or from old cd's. Old iTunes purchases also skips.
without connecting it to through the ethernet of the Mini? Yes or No? USB Modem connected to the Mac Mini Time Capsule connected wirelessly to the Mac Mini. can this work to produce a Wi-Fi network in my apartment?
I want to keep an old PowerMac G5 just for browsing the internet, etc. and I am about ready to install a wireless modem. Can I still purchase an AirPort card or Bluetooth capabilities to connect this computer wirelessly (and how complicated is this!), or will I still need to use an Ethernet connection to the modem?
I have been using my phone as a bluetooth modem on my PB for quite some time now, but today I get an error saying it is unavailable. But it is a different message than when my bluetooth on phone is off. I have a HTC Touch Pro, Alltel (CDMA). The reason I use bluetooth is because I don't know how to use USB tethering (which would be nice as bt makes my phone quite hot). Anyways, If anyone can help with either problem, it will be GREATLY appreciated. I am currently posting this on my phone, as I have a 10hr car ride and no comp.
I'm looking for a network camera which can be connected directly to a modem.
A camera which can be controlled (pan/tilt) and viewed through a browser or on an iPad/iPhone. Preferably nightvision, motiondetection and auto upload to a ftp server upon detection.
I noticed 99% of the cameras don't support mac!?
I'm hoping to spend around $400, don't know if this is realistic.
Can anyone recommend a good camera and software to get the job done?
A friend of mine has the following situation: In the living room he has a stereo hooked up to a single Airport Express (the only wireless router in the house.) In the sunroom he has an iMac Core 2 Duo running the latest version of Tiger hooked up directly to a DSL modem. Itunes recognizes this Airport express and successfully streams music to it. WiFi devices connect to this network but won't connect to the internet even though internet sharing is activated under the iMac's system preferences. Are there some tweaks in the settings that will make this work or does he absolutely need another Airport Express connected to the DSL modem?
I have just been given a second hand powermac g5, dual 2ghz, 1.5 gb of ram and 2 500 gb hdds. I have just installed the copy of leopard that came with it, it's all up to date with all the latest updates. Now this model does not have a built in bluetooth device so i have my targus one that i no works because i have used it in the past with my mac mini. The power mac picks it up, and allows me to go searching for bluetooth devices how ever when i connect one , it locks the use of the mouse and the connected bluetooth keyboard. I have to hold the power button at the front. I have reset the PRAM, but no the PMU or the nvram yet on this unit.
I can pair my MacBook (OS X 10.4.11) with my logitech wireless bluetooth speaker adapter, but cannot get them to connect, and therefore can't get audio. The devise pairs and connects just fine with my iphone 4.
I have endless trouble with blue connectivity. I have tried all the obvious things. Like check the batteries, sync, pairing etc. The mouse is showing connected and strangely even wake the computer. Problem is then it freezes given no other option but to Hard start my mac. What a bummer. I am now using usb mouse no problem.
I only ever want to use bluetooth when my Macbook is attached to a power supply (the 24'' cinema display power in particular, as my the Macbook is in clamsell mode and i want to use my wireless keyboard and mouse). Is there any way to automatically toggle bluetooth on/off when it is attached to the display. I tried to play with automator, and i found how to turn bluetooth on and off, but couldnt find a way to trigger it.
Using an Apple Bluetooth keyboard, when I lock my screen (using the Keychain Access dropdown menu method) and leave my computer for an extended period of time (a matter of hours), the keyboard disconnects and thus, I cannot enter my password when I return. I checked the Bluetooth set up options and while I realize this is likely due to battery life concerns for the keyboard, is there anyway to keep the keyboard connected while not in active use? Is there a screen locking method that still allows me access to the Bluetooth set up menu when locked?
My bluetooth used to work perfectly fine. Then one day my keyboard wasn't connected. I changed the batteries. But the Bluetooth icon kept saying that it was not available. I went into my settings and it all looks chinese to me. My keyboard isn't connecting at all.
I am trying to import music from my brother's mobile phone to my macbook (itunes) via bluetooth connectivity.I can send one file at a time from his phone but obviously this is very time consuming so am trying to find a shorter method. When i go to import playlist in itunes, the phone is not recognised in 'my devices'.
I have a home office and a macbook pro, and my desk is on the other side of the room from my stereo. I would like to not have to run another cord to my computer and would like to play music from my computer via bluetooth. I can purchase a bluetooth receiver and plug it into the back of my stereo.
So if I bought a bluetooth base station from logictech or the tunestage 2 from belkin, could I just stream music from my macbook pro to my stereo? I mean, it's bluetooth to bluetooth, right? Or must I use that logitech bluetooth attachment for the ipod and plug it into the 3.5 mm audio out jack of the macbook pro as well?
i just got my macbook pro unibody, and first time i insert headphone in the jack the little piece of the head phone gets stuck in the jack. what should i do?

Is there any sort of "bridge" software that allows a terminal emulation program, say, Z-Term, to use Skype as a modem? It seems silly to pay for connections to BBS's when I've got SkypeOut, but I haven't been able to find a way to do this.
Why can't I hear my music keyboard when it is connected thru the Analog Audio line-in port? Looking at the System Pref. - Sound menu - in-put - Line in Built-in Audio, I can see activity on the input levels when I press the Kawai piano keyboard but no sound is heard. All other sound systems- I-tunes etc are operating properly.
My imac is only 3 months old and has started slowing down, randomly playing music when connected to iTunes, spinning colour wheel takes she's to laid anything.
When typing text it often skips the first character typed. This happens in URL address bars, searches, web forms etc. which can be really annoying.
The only 3rd party software installed is Firefox 3, which is the application that has this problem the most, but then it is also by far the most used software.
Running on a Late 2008 MBP 15" with 2.53 GHZ C2D, 320 GB HD, and 9400+9600m GT. I've been having a recent issue where when I've been playing a song, and I click in the middle to get to a part that I like, iTunes skips to the next song. If I look at it closely, what happens is the cursor-thing that shows where you are in the song jumps to the point that I clicked on for about 1/4 of a second before jumping to the end and playing the next song. Yet when I let it play through all the way, the problem does not exist. It only happens when I'm around the beginning of the song and I click around to somewhere around the middle/after that.
Occasionally when I import a CD to my iTunes library via the File menu/Import CD on Snow Leopard; iTunes 10, iTunes appears to skip a song and no information appears when I enter the search terms in the search box. This happens even though all title information appears before I click "Import CD" and all the boxes are checked. I've found that if the CD is still inserted, I can import the songs to a single playlist by dragging the titles to it. So apparently the song did import, but for some reason doesn't appear in the library list. This isn't usually a problem, but I'd like to know why it happens and how to prevent it, since I'd rather have the complete information in my library.

My recently bought Logitech G5 'Gaming' mouse is no doubt a fantastic mouse. But everytime the CPU (Late 06 MBP) is doing something intensive, even if it's just one of the cores. When the mouse is moved, the pointer will skip to a random spot a few inches away on the screen. This happens over random intervals (from 2+ seconds).
Sure it's not so bad when I'm firing up VMWare and it skips around because response time isn't vital. But i'm playing games with it, and well, in WoW that means you run off cliffs and miss the potion, and becomes a major PITA.
I know the first version of the G5 (the rust coloured one) had similar problems. But apparently the new blue one (the one in question) is fine. The surface I'm using it on is a heavy sheet of cardboard (backside of a notebook).
Anyone else have this problem? And what does logitech do in these cases? I rang up tech support and got hung up on. Or do I need to go to the guy I bought it from?
EDIT: after running 'yes > /dev/null', it might not be totally CPU related, maybe the GPU has something to do with it. In any case, I'll be playing in another account to see if the problem arises there.
Downloaded an E.P. and all of the songs play fine except one which skips itself. The play count goes up and if I click later in the song it will play, but it doesn't play automatically, how do i fix this?
