I have a home office and a macbook pro, and my desk is on the other side of the room from my stereo. I would like to not have to run another cord to my computer and would like to play music from my computer via bluetooth. I can purchase a bluetooth receiver and plug it into the back of my stereo.

So if I bought a bluetooth base station from logictech or the tunestage 2 from belkin, could I just stream music from my macbook pro to my stereo? I mean, it's bluetooth to bluetooth, right? Or must I use that logitech bluetooth attachment for the ipod and plug it into the 3.5 mm audio out jack of the macbook pro as well?

Unfortunately however when you do click on the song and then navigate to one of my other pages on the website such as my portfolio, the music stops. I was hoping that the song would play continuously while navigating through the website no matter what page the visitor was on. Is this even possible?

I have ALOT of music on my macbook pro. so much i don't have much hard drive space left and its really slowing down my laptop. i have all the music on an external hard drive. is it possible to play the music directly off the hard drive rather than having to import ALL the songs to my laptop? itunes just imports all the songs automatically and i don't want it to. i would rather just play the music off the hard drive and save space on my laptop

I know variations of this question has been asked a billion times but I would just like to get a simple answer if someone could help out. Im thinking of purchasing my first mac (air) and I would like to use the SD card slot to store my music.Â
If I store the music on the SD card, can itunes (or whatever other music playing program) play this music? Does read/write speed make a big difference just to play the music? Â

...now I don't have the same functionality with iTunes. Basically, I can't use iTunes at all anymore as the interface for my music and videos. Once the external drive is mounted, I can navigate through it and play individual songs, but I can't use iTunes to do that. All my previous Playlists show up down the left side of iTunes, but there isn't any music in them.
I downloaded 2 songs yesterday, made a Playlist out of them, and because the path in the Advanced tab of the iTunes Preferences is correct, it automatically added the songs to the external hard drive. I synced my iPod and it was completely erased except for the 2 new songs. Is there a way to use iTunes to navigate my music like I used to when I stored the information on the internal hard drive but keep the information on the external drive? I have a Mac running Snow Leopard and the latest version of iTunes.
My MacBook Pro plays DVDs with movies on, but no CDs with music, or DVDs with software on them. It just makes a noise for about 30 seconds, then spits them out. What do I do? I know there's a lot about this issue already on the forums/the internet, but I've never come across a fix. I didn't buy my MacBook directly from Apple. Will they still fix it if I pay them?

Now, when I try to listen to music with my bluetooth headphones at the same time I am using my modem the music from my headphones skips quite a bit. If I shut off my modem, I can play music 100% fine to my headphones - without skips. It's hard to describe, but is is like someone is playing with an equalizer. The high pitch sounds (voices) are constantly changing in volume. maybe the basses to, but its hard to hear that. BUT, the strange thing is, when I play something in windows (parallels) it is much better... The bass is here more dimmed for some reason.

I just got a mac recently and switching over from PC so I am kind of new to everything, and there's this website that I usually go to to listen to music online (maybe window media player) and now that I switch over the mac, the website fully load and everything, except the music player is gone, so I download window media player 9 and try to go to the website again, but the music player is still not there, what can I do? The website is like this, and to the right of the lyric is suppose to be the music player but it's not there.

Whenever I wanna play music on my iTunes, it stays at 0:00 ..... I've tried everything so far. I can't even go on youtube and hear the music. Yes, my volumes up, everything is plugged in, I went to system preferences and checked the sound, everythings fine. I re-installed iTunes, nothing happened... I can still buy songs and it goes on my iPod... The I have is an iMac G5 (tiger) and yes, I updated iTunes and the rest of my updates.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have close to a hundred music files that won't play, they have no file ending (.*). They were transferred from a now formatted computer (no way to recover). I have no idea how to get them to work. If I give them an AAC ending RealPlayer will give me the following information but it won't play them. Since it tells me the length of the song it must somehow recognize it.

after recent upgrades my iphone 3GS cannot play music shared by iTunes on my Mac. Both are connected to the same wifi network. Don't know (forgot to test) if this is 10.6 or 5.1 fault.When trying to connect to shared library I see only half of the grey circle and then stopped and in the result there is nothing in library.
