OS X Mavericks :: Lost Ability To Select Alert Repeat Times
Aug 29, 2014
I have just upgraded to Maverick (OSX 10.9.4) and have lost the ability to select alert repeat times. Previously I could choose 5/10/15 minutes or 1 hour/day/week. Now I can only snooze for 15 minutes. Where have the options gone? If I want to repeat the alert in 1 day it is difficult to have to click on snooze every 15 minutes.
I clicked on something in my email toolbar and lost the ability to flag new emails. I can only see the emails that were already flagged. How can I regain the ability to flag e-mails?
I saw this during an screencast, looks like it has the ability to select a screen portion and make it bigger. It may be important to say that the video was from 2006, so maybe the icon changed?
I took my Macbook to the Computer lab, and they couldn't figure out what the problem is. I can access the school's website at home, or on any other network, but not on my connection in my dorm. I can go to any site, except the school's.
How do I get the Calendar to repeat an event just one day a week? It always wants to repeat across all days and all weeks, not just the one day each week I want.
Installed Snow Leopard and lost the ability to double click to open folders in Finder. I can right click to open folders but prefer to double click. Any ideas ? I can double click in other applications with no problems.
I seem to have lost the ability to save to, or open documents from, iCloud (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote). When I try to open a file I get the following box: URL....There is no iCloud option. Same for when I am trying to save. I am signed into iCloud. I have checked Documents & Data and each iWork app. How do I get my iCloud stuff back?
My MacBook Air lost mac os x. So I would like to reinstall mac os. But I can't select the disk to install mac os x. Only Recovery HD is shown and I can't select it. How can I reinstall my Mac os x?
In calendar when I go to create a new event, and set an alert there is a list of options. I was wonder how to customize/add an option to say something like "1 day before (3:15PM)", so that I wouldn't have to re-enter it each time because I use this alert frequently, but not on every event. I have my calendar synced to my gmail as well and I have OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 on a Macbook Pro.
I'm invited to a recurring event (a weekly meeting), which is an event sent by someone else that I accepted, so it shows up on my calendar. However, I can't seem to set an alert on it, so I either sometimes overlook the meeting start time or I have to create a whole new calendar event just so I can set an alert.
Installed Mavericks yesterday over Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and have had a host of problems that have paralysed my computer use. The most irritating problem has been that I use the glass chime for my calendar alert. Well, it won't stop ringing--it's like a button's depressed and stuck in that position. It renders the audio unusable now, which means no VOIP calling or audio of any kind as I'm forced to keep it on mute. My mouse is fluttering all over the place.
Every time I use the Notes app on my iMac, Gmail saves a large number (20-30) copies of the same note, and these copies exist even after the original note is deleted.
My Macbook Pro mid 2009 beeps three times after having change the ram from 2x2(4 Gigs) to 2x4(8Gigs) of RAM. Both new RAM modules do not work either together or by themselves. They do however work with an old RAM module, originally to have been found in my MacBook. What I need to do to make both new RAM modules work?!
Went to set up a rule for a particular address as 'Any Recipient' but this does not work if the sent mail had me in the BCC list. How do I filter on this?
How do I select multiple pictures in a folder? I have tried shift + click, command + click etc but cannot find a way of selecting a large group without selecting individually

My MacBook Pro Retina, Mid 2012 at Mavericks 10.9.3 is freezing up several times a week -- often happens, but not limited to, using the Application Window key.
The app Store asks for me to install iTunes 11.2.2 and Pro Application Update 2010-02 multiple times. Each time it will install without errors. Here is a screen grab showing the multiples.
I just moved over from PC and in outlook I could click on a sender in mail and select all emails from that sender with one click to be able to delete, how do I do this in mail?,
In outlook I would open mail, select a sender, right click and one option was select all from sender...
Then I could see all the emails from that sender highlight and delete...
very fast way of removing junk...
I just spent 2 hours trying to find the way on mac mail to no avail!!! I have 30,000 emails to clean!!!
I am aware and have been using the "command+drag" in order to select different texts in different areas; however, I am now unable to do so. When I hold down the command button, and drag over different texts in different places, the highlight instantly disappears. I am only thus, able to highlight one portion of texts at one time.

I have a 21" iMac and a Mac Mini, both of which I upgraded to Maverick a week ago. Since then, I have not been able to get Time Machine to backup. I can connect to the disk through my network, but Time Machine does not recognize it exists. I have gone through User and Groups, I have checked everything I can think of through System Preferences, and nothing has worked, including Sharing. I have another computer and am able to backup it, after programming the mini.
I am trying to sending an email to one of my contacts groups. Some of the contacts duplicate themselves 10-15 times in the address filed whether I use to To: or BCC: field. Then, I can't delete them out of their. Only course of action is to delete the email totally. I have MAC OS X v.10.0.4
When launching in the Recovery HD mode, my click on the trackpad does not work and I am unable to select a Disk Utility. Product data: Macbook, Late 2008 running OS Mavericks 10.9.4.
