I was wondering if there was a solar-panel type thing that you can leave out in the sun all day, then bring it in to charge you laptop during the night. The solar chargers I found online seemed to be only for active use (you plug your laptop in and it charges the battery in while you use it, extending the battery charge). Are there solar chargers that retain the energy they absorb? And if so, would they be powerful enough to charge a MBP (late 2008, so I don't have the 'wonder' battery).

I have a 2007 MBP (Santa Rosa) that won't open unless I take a flat tool in between the screen bezel and the top case and manually remove the latches from their slots.
When the little button on the front of the computer is pressed, nothing happens. I doesn't even 'push in', it just resists, no matter how hard I press.
Has anyone else encountered this problem or have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks a lot!
I would like to use an old Macbook as my media center in the living room, but it will only really fit on a narrow shelf; opening it and messing with the monitor settings each time would be very inconvenient.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm somewhat new to the Mac world and have found my first huge issue that I don't know how to fix. I was recently changing a theme using Magnifique and since doing it have lost access to everything. Nothing will open, if I try I get an "app name quit unexpectedly" dialog box. I have no menu bar, no HDD icons, I am unable to open a finder window or any other applications. I'm completely lost as to what I'm supposed to do.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I opened my mac book pro's screen up, I noticed that when i let go of it it physically wiggled. It eventually slowed down and stop but now, even as I am typing it is slightly wiggling back and forth. Does this always happen or did something go wrong in the hinge?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI know this may seem silly to ask, but I have read that the hinge is a bit vulnerable on the macbook pro, & mine will mostly be at home on a desk, but I may occasionally take it out. When I have it at home & shut down for the day, will closing the lid, & then opening it the next day weaken it? could I just leave the lid open when the laptop is shut down at the desk?
