so i was carrying my macbook previous to getting a case and happen to brush the lid against a railing, it caused a TINY and i mean TINY mark.. maybe 3cm max but its noticeable to me.
i was wondering if i got one of those calligraphy markers.. if i could somehow blend the mark back into the finish? anyone ever try it?

I want to remove it because well... i have some OCD and i would love to see a clear screen. Its just a small 3mm hair line scratch but i would like it gone. Because on white it makes a Kind of Rainbow effect. Now i've seen 2 methods i think that could work. I just bough a 13in MBP yesterday at bestbuy because they let me get my student discount and they gave me an ipod touch for free without the rebate. So When I got home and opened it I noticed a pretty deep scratch in it right above the power button about a half an inch long that wont come out if i try to clean it. My question is do you think that would be enough of a reason to exchange it? I know its only cosmetic but I really dont think that should be there when you buy a brand new computer. What do you think?

All of the mbp casings look bad, including the see thru one, they defeat the purpose of having a slick unibody mbp. The only option is those invisible films that stick onto the mbp, but they need water to install. None of them seems like good options. Anyway I am thinking of just getting a sleeve and leave the mbp naked. Is that a good idea?

i've been thinking of downgrading from my 17" to a 13".the 17" is great, when you actually sit down and start using it.but to carry around, kindof sucks. not because it's too heavy, just too wide.but is the 13" too small? personal opinions for those who own it?i'm going to go to the apple store and try it out for a little while,but even then. extensive use in a home environment and such is a lot different than using it at the apple store.so, owners of 13". do you love it? or do you wish you went with 15" or something
View 24 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Mac book, it's a 13". The battery life is phenomenal and the trackpad is luxurious. However I find it really difficult to see the text on my screen. In the browser this wasn't a problem as I could zoom in, but the text in the address bar, and in all other applications the font is very small. I looked into changing the DPI for my Macbook and couldn't find a solution. I'm zooming in to see things but it looks distorted and obviously horrible.
