I can't seem to remove a clip from my dashboard. You know, when in Safari, you go to "File" click "Open in dashboard"? Well, I decided to try it and it worked. Now I can't get rid of it .I turned off my computer and started it up again, but it is still there.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI put "levelwidget" on the dashboard - it is supposed to make a macbook into a Level. Sounded interesting...now I regret! The widget is corrupted and now when I try to open the dashboard it immediately closes and gives me an error message "you can't open the application motion because power pc applications are no longer supported" How do I delete this widget so I can open the dashboard. I've tried to look up the file, but can't seem to find dashboard widget files.

I have been editing compound clips and when I get half way through i notice early clips in the timeline are missing. So if there is clips ABCD in a connected clip, it will be now AC and the other clips are now gone. I've pressed undo until i saw when they were deleted and it seems when i'm selecting clips later in the timeline it selects earlier clips and deletes them with the clips i want to delete. This is causing a major headache as it seems to be random, I can't replicate it on demand, but it happens eventually in ever compound clip I create. I haven't noticed it while editing a project.

I do want to move clips inbetween other clips, rearranging their order, not deleting them. But whenever I drag a clip to fit splice in between two other clips, it just deletes whats underneath.

I'd like to re-assign the Dashboard key (F4) on my 13" MBP to Expose's "Show Desktop". So far I've been doing this with FunctionFlip, but its not remapping the key reliably anymore. It only works when the Finder is in the foreground; any other applications, pressing F4 brings up Dashboard instead of the desired Expose Show Desktop. Anyone know of other methods to re-assign the Dashboard key? I'm running 10.6.2.

It has been fantastic and perfect, but in the last few days, mysterious things have begun happening, such as it refusing to shut down, restart, or log out, and my dashboard issue.
More specifically, I had lots of stickies on Dashboard, which contained lots of information that I really really really don't want to lose. Suddenly, (after doing something in disk utility called "repair disk permissions," I noticed that dashboard was completely empty. I can drag all the widgets and star all over again, but what I want is the INFORMATION.
Just today the dock, dashboard, and dragging files made it look like a graphic glitch, it seems it may be the graphic card. I'm posting a pic to see what you guys think.

It literally stopped working mid day, one day when I went to return to get a number off of my sticky note in my dashboard. I have tried posting the different lists from my preferences page, however, am unable to get the docments to actually drag to my desktop. I'm not sure if there are any other solutions, but was hoping to find a quick fix as opposed to traveling 2 hours to the nearest genius bar. Any help would be awesome!!

I do a lot of media conversion from various formats using QT, VLC Player, Video Converter for Mac, Cleaner, Mpeg Streamclip, Sorenson Squeeze, Visual Hub, etc
Quite often i still run into (PC created) .avi clips that simply WILL NOT export/convert with SOUND, they will only PLAY with sound on the VLC Player but cannot seem to be converted into any kind of format WITH sound. I'm assuming this is some kind of codec issue but since i only know the clip as an .avi (and some AVI's convert fine including Divx and Xvid, others don't) and have no known way of analyzing the clip i don't know how to convert it.
I did have a way to download clips from YT, but I forget how it worked.
I think it was an app, which added a download button on the webpage itself.
Can anyone remind me how it's done.
I hope I'm allowed to ask this - so mods please delete if not allowed.
It's only so I can see some karate tutorials offline.
I can't view all the video clips at [URL:...]on any Mac (even installed flip4mac), but on windows PC no problem at all.
