How do I delete from dashboard?

I put "levelwidget" on the dashboard - it is supposed to make a macbook into a Level. Sounded interesting...now I regret! The widget is corrupted and now when I try to open the dashboard it immediately closes and gives me an error message "you can't open the application motion because power pc applications are no longer supported" How do I delete this widget so I can open the dashboard. I've tried to look up the file, but can't seem to find dashboard widget files. Â

I'm a former windows user and I'm still learning about OS X. I hate installing programs that leave behind all kinds of files though, especially when they slow your system down like in windows. I'm wondering, when you download, install, and then uninstall widgets, do files get left behind afterwards?

My dashboard (widgets) keep popping up and disappearing unbidden with annoying regularity (like it's happening every few seconds at times). I'd rather fix rather than disable since I use several regularly. iMac (6 years old) running Leopard.

I recently plugged my MacBook Pro back into my external monitor and half the dashboard display was blurry and seemed to use a lower colour resolution (they colours appears bold and limited). Only a portion of the widgets appeared liked this. After restarting the Dock, all of the widgets have this appearance. Short of rebooting my computer (which takes time out of my work)

I used to have both on the screen at the same time, but now its as if the screen is too big and I have to move the mouse down to access the dashboard and then up again to access the menu bar.

I want to put a widget on my desk top. I'm running Lion 10.7.3 In system preferences, I've disabled "Show Dashboard as a space", as another forum said and and click on the widget while holding F$, but the widget just goes away.

Can I move the clock and calendar widgets from the Dashbouard to my Desktop screen - not the 'Dock.
I note I can buy alternative versions for the Desktop from the app' store.

This poll is just to simply get an idea if dashboard is used by anyone still. I personally still use it, and love it. Problem is...no one devs widgets for it anymore. I think it's a great tool that Apple just needs to rework, and get devs to create for it again.

View 24 Replies View Relatedwas running the flash player from Pandora.com in dashboard using a Safari webclip; however this was sucking up 30% of CPU usage even when the player was idle (ie., paused). This was causing my heat fans to run way too often. The Pandora One application (which runs via Adobe Air) only uses 10% CPU when running on the desktop. So I was wanting to see how much CPU it would suck up if I could somehow run it in dashboard.

I make good use of dashboard. I use the calculator and unit conversion tools every day. I also have the TV program and my internet usage tracker displayed always. These are the only four widgets I have on my dashboard 90% of the time. Over the past year I've noticed the dash becoming slower and slower. Earlier this year I upgraded to Snow Leopard from Tiger hoping this might help (and help boost the computer in general) and while I have seen many improvements, dashboard keeps feeling slower and slower.
E.g. I want to do a simple sum in the calculator. I use a hot corner to activate the dashboard and the calculator is unresponsive for 5-20 seconds, same goes for the unit conversion widget. When I do this many times a day I find it frustrating and that it slows my workflow down. I've taken to my handheld calculator again but would prefer to use dashboard for ease of use. I'm running a MBP 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory and Mac OS X 10.6.4 if that helps.
For a while now the command-tab, dashboard key and spaces key do not work. I press the key and nothing happens. If I restart the OS (OS X 10.5.5) they work but only for a short time and stop working again. Other accounts on the system work fine and do not have this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have heard of a program that loads and then hides Dashboard when you first start your computer, so it's ready to be viewed later (I'd like it because I use the delivery status widget with grown notifications, but it only notifies me up the updates in the delivery status of dashboard has been loaded once since the computer has been turned on) quickly. I know it's out there but I can't seem to find it again. Did I dream up this application or is it out there?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to configure USB Overdrive to access Dashboard and Expose using the middle mouse button and one of the thumb buttons?
The control panel has options for what actions to take when these buttons are pressed, but Dashboard/Expose are not among the choices. Trying to assign a keystroke to the buttons doesn't work either because when I try, the keys activate Dashboard or Expose rather than capturing the key in USB Overdrive's keystroke window.
Is there a way to keep dashboard active all the time? What i mean is, everytime i click on the dashboard icon it shows-up on the screen and the other programs running on the background just fades. And if i switch to any other programs/applications dashboard does not show-up anymore.
To be more concise, i would like to have it at my screen all the time without having to click it (of course i do have to click for the first time ). Is it possible?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I like to set up my dashboard with 3x weather widgets, since we have microclimates here where I live and iStat pro to monitor the system.
The problem is, the weather and iStat widgets like to move when I open up dashboard. When it refreshes, the position gets somewhere else, usually lower or upper. I have to 'killall Dock' to refresh the dashboard to its original position.
I'd like to re-assign the Dashboard key (F4) on my 13" MBP to Expose's "Show Desktop". So far I've been doing this with FunctionFlip, but its not remapping the key reliably anymore. It only works when the Finder is in the foreground; any other applications, pressing F4 brings up Dashboard instead of the desired Expose Show Desktop. Anyone know of other methods to re-assign the Dashboard key? I'm running 10.6.2.
